Summary: Karna-who?
Review: I find it strange that this DVD of a concert of the band Karnataka is available in the US since none of the CDs are. Which is really a shame as the group is so very good. I accidentally "bumped" into their music while searching the internet. A couple of samples later I was hooked and went on a search for one of their two (soon to be three) CDs. I found their second one, The Storm, and sent for it. I highly recommend it!

The video is a perfect companion to their CDs with a concert filmed in a small club. Some backstage and outdoor video is added in to enhance the viewing. The sound is crystal clear and the editor thankfully refrained from using a bunch of computer effects to annoy and detract. It is like being their...only closer than the band would ever let you get. ;) A small photo gallery is also tacked on. The highlight for me is "I Should Have Known," which is also my favorite track from The Storm.

For those totally unfamiliar with Karnataka's music I can only say that it compares with Clannad with a slightly more rock feel. Rachel Jones, the vocalist, has a wonderful voice that conveys the emotion of the songs very well.

Since I have vitually no chance of ever seeing the band live this is the next best thing and well worth it. But whether or not you buy this DVD, take a look for their music...you will not be disappointed!

Summary: A GREAT SUPERBAND IN THE COOKING
Review: I got this DVD almost by accident, while ordering on a special multipackage of progressive DVDs. For my surprise the nitid music, clear picture and awesome songs let me perplexed. I have no doubt this is the must see show in the near future. The vocals by a young pretty lady named Rachel Jones lead in a perfect mixture the well structured pieces of progressive melodic songs executed by a bunch of first class mucisians. There are some sections where you can compare them to Genesis, Yes, with some celtic brushes, but above all the female vocals to the level of Rennassaice's best deliveries. Problably comparing is not the best way of describing, but I use my favorites as a parameter and this BAND is a major one with capital letters. Right now I am in search for their CDs, very hard to find in the U.S.A....yet. I'm happy to own this DVD.
