Summary: Love is A Stranger
Review: This video was disappointing in ways yet delightful in others. For the price - it's a value. I'll cover both the Delights and the Faults:

The faults: Not the performers fault but whoever made this into a DVD did a sloppy job in some respects. There are 2 or 3 small spots that garble the sound for a second (no biggy really). This DVD is mostly live footage of a particular Eurythmics concert with some familiar animation mingled in between tracks. The animation video quality is not great or bad. But less than par to the live concert footage which was, in my estimate, outstanding. Yes, I agree with one other reviewer that it really is a no-brainer that they rolled the film credits over the song Sweet Dreams. You get two versions of Sweet Dreams - the live concert version and the MTV-type acted out version. The MTV-type was the one with the film credits. Also, in the beginning is a non-musical prologue with some guy - a producer/director - non-band member and I thought that was boring at best - skip it and go to the music. Was it his fault for the minor blurbs? Hmmmm. Anyway - the DVD still has its merits.

The Delightful: The video quality on the live concert footage is sharp and in some regards - awesome with the lighting and all. This DVD is a mix of the MTV-sort of video's and a live Eurythmics concert. The audio through out 97% is, in my estimate, better than anything I've heard. Annie Lennox's voice really cuts through everything in her lusty-powerful way. The live concert was filmed when she was sporting close-cropped red hair. Also, you get 14 songs with this DVD - all with great audio. Over-all: If you like Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart and/or the Eurythmics - yes - get this DVD. It certainly is a value and you will enjoy it. The minor - brief flaws are tolerable. My favorite track is Jennifer - comes through in ultra-rich sound and colorful laser lit video.

Summary: BAD DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS!
Review: What a disappointment! The very first DVD that I decide to buy is a complete stinker. The video quality is marginal, like a copy of an old videotape. The sound quality is terrible: ranging the gamut from muffled to slightly distorted vocals because of a too-loud transfer. But that's not the worst of it...after you suffer through it all and think you're finally going to enjoy the last video which is "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)", they start rolling credits over the video! Would it have killed them to wait three minutes for the video to end before rolling the credits! Obviously a rush job designed to make a quick buck, this deserves to be left on the shelf! (Fortunately, I was able to return it and bought Gloria Estefan's "Don't Stop!" instead. Although the music's of a different style, it shows exactly how a music DVD *should* be put together: crisp video and audio, and lots of extras.)
