Summary: Audio problems explained
Review: To those of you that have complained about awful DTS or DD sound with this DVD, I have found the answer.

I rented the DTS DVD from a rental club and it was AWESOME! I couldn't help but think that folks here that were describing audio problems with this DVD had defective systems somehow.

I just BOUGHT the DVD and the sound quality is horrendous -- exactly as it was described by others here (no center channel audio, etc).

Evidently there are some copies of this DVD in circulation that were manufactured improperly. If you get one that was done right, the DVD is INCREDIBLE! The bad ones are truly awful.

Summary: One of the Greatest Concerts of All Time
Review: Let's get a few things straight. "Hell Freezes Over" by The Eagles is awesome. However, "One Night Only" by the Bee Gees is on the same plateau. People who don't appreciate the DTS quality simply don't know how to configure their systems properly. Do you honestly believe that a group as big as the Bee Gees would put on a concert in Las Vegas and not hire the best audio technicians to produce their work?

If you truly love music - especially memorable melodies, then it doesn't get any better than this DVD. The Brothers Gibb should be proud of the music they have made for nearly 40 years (as evidenced by the many musicians now in line to re-make some of their many hits). The touching tribute to Andy Gibb and the performance by Celine Dion are the icing on the cake. Buy this DVD now. As a music lover, you won't regret it.

Summary: I was warned, but did NOT listen...
Review: I only buy DTS concert DVDs. My setup is top of the line. I apparently did not want to believe the reviews which hammered the DTS recording quality of this concert, but they were right. The vocals are incredibly muddied, and the center channel seems to be dedicated exclusively to a snare drum. I basically have to turn my center channel off to hear lyrics, and they still don't sound that great.

Compared to the Eagles, Steely Dan, Orbison DTS recordings, this concert sounds [bad]. The video quality is very good, but there's no point in cranking the sound. If DTS is your thing, you've been warned..AGAIN!

Summary: One my personal favorites !
Review: The Video and audio quality is excellent. If you have decent speakers and properly adjusted and configured 5.1 receiver/amplifier, you should not have any problem. I connected the video using the component outputs and the audio using the digital coaxial output. I enjoyed everyone of the songs in the album.

Summary: Audio Problem Fix - Use S-Video Hookup
Review: I too was initially disappointed in the audio of this DVD as well as Fleetwood Mac's, The Dance. I was using the standard RCA plug hookup to TV from my DVD. Thought it may have been a problem with my DVD player. DVD player wasn't the problem. After switching to S-Video cable hookup, the audio is now incredible!

Hope this helps those others who have been experiencing same problem.

Summary: Too Much! Too Good!
Review: The Bee Gees have always been great performers, but this is their career topping concert. Four decades of songs are showcased here with impeccable harmonies and a first class band. The highlights are the guest appearances whether ala 'Nat King Cole' style or real like Celine Dion. Yup, Franki Valli and a tear-jerking Andy Gibb can be heard here as well as the Celine highlight. There is too much and too little as great songs like, "Nights On Broadway" and "Guilty" are cut short, but the typical 'Bee Gees song medley' and the 'Night Fever/More Than A Woman' segment made up for that. In retrospect, the concert could have had more lighting effects, but, geez, the sound is just so good, you wonder if it really makes a difference. This was a historic event.

Summary: Best DVD in my collection
Review: I've been a Bee Gees fan since 1967 and actually saw their World Tour performance at Wembley Stadium. I read some of the reviews on this site about audio problems on 5.1 but I honestly don't know what they're talking about. It sounds Great! It's the best music concert DVD that I own. This is an absolute "must have" if you're a Bee Gees fan.

Summary: DTS Sound
Review: I rate this concert 2 stars. I would give it 4.5 stars if the DTS sound was anything like it should be. My stereo system is all kenwood top of the line with 4 grand in jamo speakers and all my other DTS movies and concerts on DVD sound great. This DVD in DTS sounds like ?hit. That Is all I have to say and that is that. DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT BUY IT FOR THE SOUND. If you buy this buy it cause you like the band but not for the sound. If you want good DTS music buy roy orbison black and white you will love it.

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: The quality of the performance, the sound and the video are excellent. You don't have to be a huge Bee Gees fan to thoroughly enjoy this concert! It's that good and will bring back lots of memories!

Summary: Little Disappointment
Review: I purchased this dts version dvd thinking that it will be similar to the dts version of Eagles Hell freezes over. I am throughly dissappointed. The audio quality is very poor and I presume the centre channel had no signals especially the vocals were not there at all. The dts quality was definitely missing. Well, ofcourse the video quality has to be good as with most dvds. The camera selections also I suppose were not chosen appropriately. I wonder wether it is my particular dvd that has this problem. I shall be thankful for a feed back to my e-mail add.
