Review: He's not only one of the great composers, but Caetano's one of the great interpreters of Brasilian song. This set features two delicious duets with fellow brasilero Lulu Santos and great reworkings of some little heard Jobim.
But the Noites do Norte show is far more than covers. The setlist skirts most of what North American has become familiar with to revisit the high points of Caetano's Tropicalia era and reexplore his last all-portugues language album. As the locals say, "Legal!"
DVD features subtitles in about half a dozen language (incl. english) and the icing on the cake: chord changes!
