Summary: A must-have DVD...
Review: ...for any Rod Stewart fan! This is a very enjoyable video -- getting to see Rod prance around the stage in the 70's is great for those of us who are fans but were a bit too young to go to those shows. True, as other reviews have stated, the sound and visual qualities are not that outstanding, but they are still good! This is a worth-while video for the price and is a must in any fan's DVD collection!

Summary: FACES? UH...HMMMM.....
Review: First of all, let me say that this group (Faces) has been one of my favorite rock groups since their first album with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood. I wore out their 8-tracks, then their lp's and now I have all of their cd's. Having said that, I have to say that I am VERY disappointed in this DVD. As the other reviewers have stated, the audio and video are terrible. I could have lived with that, because Faces wasn't about being pretty. They rocked, down and dirty. That's what I loved about them. The main problem for me here is the song selection. I believe there is only one REAL Faces song on this DVD (You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything). There are 9 songs originally done on Rod Stewart albums and 2 songs originally done on Ronnie Wood albums...and that's ok too, because I love Rod's early solo work and love all of Ronnie's solo stuff too..but almost every Rod song here is a cover!!! Until a REAL Faces DVD comes out, I'll have to live with this one. A must for real fans like me, but still very disappointing.

Summary: classic historic perfomance
Review: if you own any of the faces albums,or rod stewarts first three albums,i think you will enjoy this dvd,if all you know of rod stewart is disco or mtv dont waste your time,if your a collector of classic rock (or rock and roll performances)like i am,i think you will enjoy this dvd,if your demanding year 2001 quality dont waste your time,if your an elvis fan and you can appreciate the ed sullivan perfomances i think you will like this dvd,if your an eric clapton fan and you like the cream farewell concert i think you will enjoy this dvd,this dvd is great vintage rock,i think the quality is very good for the era,in the past ive bought vhs tapes of faces that cant come close to this quality,the choice is yours,im totally happy with this show,(and a great show it is),a true historic performance of rod stewart and faces in their prime! if top of the line audio is your thing, buy the cd"s.

Review: If you want a dvd that has great sound and is very clear, don't get this. But if your into a dvd that collect some of the finest musicans (including a young Keith) and the last concerts of one of the finest bands-get this.

Summary: Despite faults, still enjoyable!
Review: It's true that the sound and picture quality on this disc are not up to par with most DVD releases, but it is still a very entertaining film for any fans of the Faces, Rod Stewart, or the Rolling Stones.The setlist is fantastic, even without the Faces' best-known song ("Stay With Me") and the contributions of the then-departed Ronnie Lane ("Ooh La La", etc.). The Faces take on Berry ("Sweet Little Rock N' Roller"), among other classics ("Angel", "It's All Over Now"), and play a few of the members' solo numbers. The personal highlight for me, as a Rolling Stones fan, was getting to see Keith Richards at a point in time when the Stones were inactive. It was obvious even then that he and future bandmate Ronnie Wood had some good chemistry going. The film is definitely rough around the edges (even the packaging gives it the appearance of a bootleg), but if you can get past that, there are some fantastic perfomances on here.

Review: This is one horrible DVD! The transfer is from a terrible 16mm film with breaks and scratches everywhere. And forget the sound... I bought it mainly to watch one of the great Hammond players, Ian McLagan... Too bad the sound destroys all fidelity. The one saving grace is the pure hysteria of watching Rod Stewart prance around and mug away! These guys (Faces) were great musicians. Sone of that talent penetrates the din every now and then. But don't waste your money...
