Summary: Terrific...
Review: Excellent video/audio work. The DVD would have been even better if there were "Extras". I can't wait to see her in concert.

For those reviewers who commented as to the audio quality, there is an easy "fix": go into the menu of your dvd player and configure it for PCM instead of for AC-3. Shania's vocals will come out clearly through the center channel speaker.

Summary: Shania Twain Live
Review: In addition to her being one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen her band is extremely talented and concerts are tremendously entertaining. She still has that girl next door appeal that spans all age groups from 10 year old kids she invites to perform her songs to energetic retirees whom she invites onto the stage to dance with her during her concerts. During one of the conerts she invites an entire high school band on stage to perform one of her hits. This DVD features all of Shania's most popular songs performed at various concerts. I love this title and I am sure you will too.

Summary: Twain - A Balanced View of The Tamale From Timmons
Review: Never heard of Shania Twain until I saw her on TV doing a couple songs on her own, then a duet with the Back Street Boys, I think; as part of some other show. A few weeks later, this eye arresting lady in a long pink coat and hot pink shorts was on some music awards show in late 1999. Seems like she sang "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" and the show host, Vince Gill, was stunned. Quite a while ago, I had considered marrying an intensely hot lady from Timmons who was similar to Shania. I later went through that town, partly due to a geological trip. So when someone mentioned Shania was from Timmons, I looked up her background/bio on the Internet. I see a lot of polarization of opinion about Shania, even in these reviews. I'll try to give a balanced view. On the plus side, she seems to be a combination of feminine essences that men drool to possess in a mate. Beautiful voice; sexy and energetic body; a tangy, teasing independence; foot stomping rhythms; sensitive, empathetic and evocative moods; dynamic spontaneity; skillful, confident and synergistic stage leadership; adaptable, personable, enthusiastic and supportive acceptance of others in her interaction with local individuals and groups she invites onstage. And her band members are so dynamic and talented that they could make a great show just by themselves. Their mostly masculine, impressive physical expressions are terrific contrapuntal to Shania's womanly femininity. On the less flattering side, I've seen this video a half dozen times in the 3 weeks I've had it. It really boosts my spirits after dealing with a well paid but impossibly demanding job. I am like the highly logical rocket scientist that according to one of her songs, don't impress Shania much. And she sure brings out the feelings in me. Has me crying and laughing and clapping and bouncing around. But those repeated viewings of the video reveal how much scripting there is. That's the down side. Some of the best of what appears so wonderful because of it's apparent spontaneity, is really staged and preplanned. Her husband - manager is skillfully creative in packaging & presenting his wife in this video, as the ideal mate to excite and develop a wide range of feelings in nearly everyman. But even with that, and even knowing that some of the songs are more for rhythm than substance or poetry, Shania is an exquisitely entertaining performer in this live show video.

Summary: Try "hall" surround mode to bring out Shania's voice
Review: I watched this concert on a Toshiba 2109 DVD player in 2-channel analog mode through a Marantz THX system. In the beginning, Shania's voice was overpowered by the band as other reviewers indicated. The sound was quite poor regardless if I use the THX, pro-loigc or 2-channel stereo mode. However, when I cycled the surround mode to "hall", Shania's voice suddenly came alive through the effect/rear channel. If you have problem with the sound, try some other surround sound modes on your system, you may find one mode that works well with this DVD.

Summary: SHANIA TWAIN CAN DO NO WRONG!
Review: Shania Twain shines again in this DVD for Mercury/Polygram Label. She exhibits so much emotion in her music. She is one of the best artists to date....and the fact that every song is good....has to amount to something. She is awesome....no one can top her.

Summary: Don't waste your money ! .
Review: As mentioned by some earlier reviews, the sound mix is totally dissapointing. Shania's voice is entirely covered by the band.

I wish I had paid attention to some of the other reviewers.

Summary: Shania Shines
Review: This dvd is phenomenal and the sound quality is good. The center channel works on my SONY system, maybe that's the difference. This dvd shows the versatility of Shania as being a truly amorous star. This concert packed the Reunion Arena in Dallas Texas (capacity 18,000). Two hours of sheer entertainment makes this a "must buy" dvd.

Summary: Shania - 'Come On', don't forget your fans
Review: Saw Shania on her recent European Tour and was amazed - a great show, which is why i am disappointed by this DVD Live Concert - the picture quality and sound should be so much better and with no additional DVD extras feel that they have just rushed this release to cash in on her success. Although despite these problems it is great to hear live versions of "You Win My Love", "If It Dont Take Two", "Don't Be Stupid" and "(If You're Not In It For Love)". Perhaps they should take a look at the quality and additions of the James Taylor at Beacon Theatre DVD for tips!

Review: Super DVD, very enjoyable. Only disappointment was that it was not recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.
