Summary: HORRIBLE SOUND QUALITY
Review: ALANIS IS A GREAT ARTIST, BUT THE SOUND ON THIS DVD IS HORRIBLE. NOT A GOOD PURCHASE.

Summary: Feast on this!
Review: Alanis Morissette is one of the greatest artists in the whole world. She is definitely the best female rock performer of all time. She's a performer with catchy songs, unforgettable lyrics, and memorable videos-that's what she is. This is a great CD/DVD collection. The CD includes 8 previously unreleased tracks recorded during the Under Rug Swept recordings. It also includes an Acoustic version of the sweet soft rock/pop hit 'hands clean'. The tracks are as follows:

1.Fear of Bliss-Calm, serene, loud

2.Bent for you-A 'supposed former infatuation junkie' type song

3.Sorry to myself-has her usual lyrics

4.Sister Blister-really reminds you of the 'Jagged Little Pill days'-especially 'you outta know'

5.Offer-the opposite of the angry Alanis

6.Unprodigal Daughter- this rock track has nothing to do with the Jeffrey Archer novel, it's cool

7.Simple together-uncomplicated with a few good examples of great vocal performances (But nothing like 'Forgiven')

8.Purgatorying-Unruffled and tranquil. I love it. It's a fantastic song!

9.Hands clean-quite catchy (for all Under Rug Swept fans)

And then if that wasn't enough, this includes exceptional performances and routines by Alanis at concerts and stuff. The performances include the US Gold certified 'Ironic', the angry alternative rock hit 'you outta know', the UK #1 'head over feet' among others. It also includes 'behind-the-scenes' clips including scenes of Alanis crying, writing, performing etc. This is truly a 'must-have' collection for any Alanis fan, even if you're a person who used to be an Alanis Morissette fan during the 'Jagged Little Pill age' but then started getting bored of her with the release of 'Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie'. But mainly it concentrates on the times of 'Under Rug Swept'. If you want the 'Jagged Little Pill' times, check out 'Alanis Morissette: Jagged Little Pill Live', a Grammy award-winning US Gold long form video.

Summary: Great CD, awful DVD
Review: Alanis Morissette's "Feast on Scraps" CD/DVD package is a wonderful idea. Releasing an album of b-sides from her "Under Rug Swept" album and a concert DVD is certainly a great thing for her fans. Trouble is, the CD portion of this package is great but the DVD leaves much to be desired. The DVD seems to be a [take] off of her previous DVD, "Jagged Little Pill, Live". It features Alanis and her annoying band perform one song and then it cuts into Alanis and her pretentious thoughts about fame and music. Blah, blah. I just wanted a concert and not a clone of her previous DVD.

The CD portion is great, with the exception of "Sorry to Myself"... it's certainly not a favourite Alanis song. While I am not a fan of the DVD, I still think this is an essential Alanis Morissette item and I'm sure most of her fans will enjoy it.

Summary: An almighty feast....
Review: Alanis Morssette. Thank you. Again - she has reamained true to her words - allowing herslef to become transparent. to be flowing and real. This dvd is the ultimate insight into the world of Alanis Morissette - her friends, ideas, hopes, dreams. Put simply, this dvd will provide every viewer with a new perspective of ms morissette. Alanis has dropped the seriousness that used to be evident in her everyday, and the music that accompanies the footage encompasses it all. Songs such as Simple Together, Surrendering and That Particular Time - full of emotion but with the hook of a hit. The DVD quality is poor in sections - live shows - however it is clear enough to see that on different days, different songs mean different things to alanis, and is evident in they way they are played.
Purely for the 'rare' insight to the world of alanis i recommend this dvd to anyone interested.... especially when she pulls up in the car next to the fan.... if it ever makes it to a video store... be sure and look under comedy. hilarious.

Summary: Could have been better
Review: During 21 Things I Want in a Lover, the audio quality drops tremendously whenever the sometimes low quality video changes. Very hard to listen to. It happens frequently throughout the dvd.

The cool parts are when the quality is good. But it doesn't last long usually. In between songs when Alanis speaks is really cool, but I don't like the setup of the dvd. There should be an index of some sort so you can go to the different things she says when you want to show others. Otherwise you have to sit through everything.

I give it 3 stars because its poorly organized and has haphazard qualities. Still cool if you're a huge fan though.

Summary: for an artist so devoted to her work!
Review: first let me assure you while i don't have a built-in love for everything alanis i consider myself a devoted fan. i was shocked, i must say, to see what alanis seems to be content with being sold to her fans, being an artist devoted one hundert percent to her work. the sound in some of the live tracks is literally unbearable. the skits inbetween the songs (and, unfortunately, sometimes even mid-song) are definitely not everyone's cup of tea, sometimes deeply personal, sometimes nothing short of downright silly. i'd have preferred a no-nonsense live recording with silly bonus scraps within the extra materials. as it is, feast on scraps will leave lots of alanis' fans short of what i'm sure we all expected from this.

Summary: Unbelievable bad sound...Alanis was great
Review: I couldn't believe it...in the middle of songs, the sound drops down from 5.1 to distortion and pure [crud] level....and the sound level between most of the music and the interviews/"playing around" drops between the volumn level of a gun shot to a whisper in the wind.
What is the problem here?
All I intended to buy was a concert video by a great artist.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: What are all you thinking?
Review: I don't know where all these 5 star reviews are coming from but this is without a doubt the worst concert dvd I have ever seen.

Sound quality is so bad it is painful and the video is pretty much unwatchable. I've seen better production on amateur wedding video.

Simply awful
