Rating: Summary: Liza's songs Review: Judy's songs in this are wonderful, but I have to say that in addition to her classic Judyness, Liza's songs captivate me. She's marvelous! Her songs were perfect for this performance - I loved them all. I never feel the urge to fast-forward, which is rare. I'm extremely pleased with this and happy to recommend it to all (in addition to my last review.)
Rating: Summary: Its historic value is greater..... Review: Just for the fact that they appear together in concert form should be enough......One thing I've never understood about this particular concert is why it has never been packaged and sold in its entirety. The taping consisted of 2 weekends' worth of performances. I have seen this concert, DVD and VHS, and neither are the complete concert. Even the CD/album sold today is an abridged version of the original 2-record album! I'd rather hold off on buying until the ENTIRE concert is for sale. I have the original album and the VHS tape to get me through until that time arrives.
Rating: Summary: Liza is Great - Judy is Judy Review: Liza proved herself on this stage with her mother. I don't know of many people who could have stood up to Judy the way Liza did. Judy was simply Judy. Singing songs the only way she knew how, from the heart. I loved it when she got the audience to sign along with over the rainbow.

Rating: Summary: Sub-par tape quality matches sub-par Garland. Review: Sadly, Judy is merely an echo of her former greatness in this concert with rising star Liza. Her vocal chords, irreparably damaged by this point in her stormy life, sound husky and over-medicated. Judy appears wan and tired, gets testy with the audience and down-right jealous of daughter Liza who sounds at times like a screeching cat. Abbreviated version of live Palladium concert include ballads not pulled from Judy's own songbag. Unsatisfying all-around.
Rating: Summary: If you've never seen Judy Garland live, this is a must see! Review: This is a wonderful video. Liza Minnelli also sings in this video, but even if you only like Judy Garland, this video is spectacular. It is 55 minutes in length. Judy sings favorites, such as "Chicago," "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," "Just in Time," and many others. I've seen almost all of Judy's movies, but seeing her sing live was a whole different experience. Her rapport with the audience is unbelievable. I highly recommend this tape.
Rating: Summary: Judy Garland "Live"; well, just barely! Review: This taped performance, for many years forgotten, shows Ms. Garland after her TV series had been canceled. She is wafer thin and after many hours of rehearsal prior to the show, her voice is fairly well shot. She appears tired, ill and medicated. It takes all of her stamina to keep up with her daughter, a young and energized Liza Minelli. An interesting note, this tape is NOT the entire concert and neither is the 2-record original album released by her label, Capitol. There are numbers found on one and missing on the other. Rather odd. Unfortunately, British television at the time was not as advanced as their American counterpart. In particular, the sound equipment used seems substandard for a concert taping of this quality and the filming isn't very well thought out. However, the tape does show Ms. Garland's rapport with her audience and how they adored her. It includes the most touching version of "Over The Rainbow" I've heard, as the audience sings along with her for the first chorus. For that alone, it's worth the price.
Rating: Summary: What could be better? Review: This video is a special treat for those of us who never were able to see Judy in live in concert and for those of us who were born just a little too late! See Judy "LIVE" in concert! The songs are fabulous and Judy's wit really shines through the entire show. She starts out incredibly strong and her voice is fabulous! Though near the end she gets a bit tired (It seems they may have cut a few songs out as she goes from sounding great to very tired). Liza is equally great and sings a few solo's. This concert is one of my favorites and should be on the shelf of every Judy/Liza fan!!!
Rating: Summary: Judy Garland and Liza are magical together! Review: This was Judy's last concert at the London Pallidium and was Liza's first on-stage appearance (excluding TV). Although the B&W video quality is poor, the magic of the two on stage is excellent! If you are a fan of Judy or Liza, you owe it to yourself to add this tape to your collection - just seeing the love between Judy & Liza as they sing "Happy Days Are Here Again" is worth the purchase. And as another viewer writes, "Over The Rainbow" is magical. Yes, Judy's career was sadly coming to a bitter end and it comes through in this concert - but the audience stood and cheered as Judy closed the show with everything she had singing "Chicago" with Liza at her side. There was a special bond between these two wonderful ladies!
