Summary: Thank God for the skip button
Review: I am now further convinced that the skip button for dvds is the man's best invention next to the condom. As soon as the dvd started I skipped right over Something Corporate..., Anti-Flag, Morgan Heritage, The Used, Lagwagon, New Found Glory, NOFX (the songs they gave us on the dvd are [cruddy], which is a shame because NOFX is actually a quite amusing band), and GOB. I did enjoy (if not tolerate) the performances of Ozma's 'Eponine' (although I wouldn't classify them as 'punk'-who knows what punk is these days- I do enjoy their guitar plays), Mighty Mighty Bosstones's 'Hope I Never Lose my Wallet', MXPX (even though they perform traditional, cliche "sorry I'm late" songs, I'll forever have a soft spot for them), No Use for a Name (brilliant drums, and awesome crowd relations, and I normally don't like them), Flogging Molly (what the heck are these Irishmen doing on tour? who cares, they're funny! But check out the Dropkick Murphys first before getting hooked on these guys), and Reel Big Fish (the funny delivery and good guitar/bass combo saves the stupid song). The last two performances, by Alkaline Trio and Bad Religion are passable. I had never really paid attention to Alkaline Trio before seeing them on the dvd, but as a result I'm going to find a better song by them, they seem to have a lot of potential. Bad Religion disappointed me with their new song, Supersonic, the delivery was pretty weak and wasn't the best closing. I did enjoy a few of the backstage interviews and the behind the scenes investigations.

All in all, wait till this dvd hits the sale bin, or don't buy it at all. I'm sure that wanky 15-year-old punk "rawkers" will thoroughly enjoy this dvd but for me, I'll just stick to kicking my rear for shelling out [money] for it.

Summary: Not quite 5 stars
Review: If you like the Warped Tour this DVD is a must have. The qaulity is excellent, and the sound is great. I also liked all the behind the the scenes footage, the interviews, and one band showed what life is like on a tour bus, I thought that was pretty cool. I gave the DVD 4 stars because bands like Lagwagon, NOFX, and No Use For a Name only got 1 video and it seemed like every other band got 2. I don't think it's fair that a band like Something Corporate should get 2 videos and great bands that have been around for a while, like the 3 I mentioned before only got 1. I also thought they could have added in a few more bands. There are a couple from the tour that I liked that weren't on the DVD. Other than those 2 things I'd say this DVD is well above average and is definatly worth the money.

Summary: Almost three stars...but hey, it's the Warped Tour.
Review: Ok, I bought this DVD without even think about it, I just saw it, grabbed it and bought it. I mean, no matter what the band line up is, if you ever attended one Warped Tour, you know it changes you, it's been one of the highlights of my life. So I didn't find anything wrong with having a little souvenir of this amazing show in my house; The problem is, with a tour that have been going on for more than five years now, why just put out footage of the 2002 tour, instead of a best of footage? Acts like Rancid, Pennywise, Deftones, and AFI that are Warped Tour classics, are missings, while weak new comers like Something Corporate, Ozma and The Used are put in replace. I would have expect that weird moments, like the time Weezer reunited to play the show, or when best-sellers like 311 or Alien Ant Farm played, where going to be highlighted on the DVD, but those moments are nowhere to be found. At least they didn't forget legends like The Bosstones, NoFx and Bad Religion. Also great bands like the punk rebels Anti-Flag, the rastafarians Morgan Heritage are worth the price, and you found out that New Found Glory don't play so bad after all. Anyway, if you want to revive the moment, this DVD is for you.

Summary: PLEASE CHECK YOUR ANTI -AMERICANISMS AT THE GATE
Review: Sorry to sound preachy, but since this tour took place a year after more than 3,000 of my fellow citizens were incinerated and pulverized for being American, well...I don't know.... I guess upside-down American flags, Hammers and Sickles on guitars, quotes like "Not My President" and "I don't belive in flags or borders" just seem a little hackneyed nowadays. I feel this all the more as I stand by for orders to Iraq. Who knows, maybe you who regard yourselves as cutting edge are in fact the hicks and rednecks now. I myself love thrash metal, I love extreme sports (I was hoping to BASE jump off the WTC one day), but I'll never remain silent when those inside these respective areas bite the hand that feeds by bad mouthing the very country which served as the launching point for such cultural innovation. I can't be alone here so feel free to voice out.
As for the show itself, Flogging Molly made a good impression with its cross of folk and rock. However, I still think that MTV Sports did a far superior job when it covered the Warped Tour in '96.

Summary: Quality good, variety not so good
Review: The only thing that could make this DVD better would be a better variety of the bands on the DVD. Most artists featured on the DVD have 2 or 3 songs. It would be better if there were more bands with 1 song each. The quality of the DVD is very good though. Of course, no DVD could ever compare to actually being there.

Summary: Great Sound and Great Performances!
Review: The picture and sound on this disc are awesome. They definitely took advantage of the DVD format. The bands on the '02 Warped Tour are some of my all time favorites and their performances, as well as all the others, were captured beautifully here. Sure, there are some bands on here that I don't like, but I won't go as far as to say they don't belong. Some people like to debate those kind of things. I'll leave that to those people. I just like good music.

I would have given 5 stars, but I couldn't understand why some of the newer bands have two songs featured while other veteran acts like NOFX and Lagwagon only have one. That's a minor complaint though. All in all, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone into this type of music.

Highlights: Lagwagon, NOFX, No Use, Flogging Molly and Bad Religion.
