Review: As an oldtme fan of panic I was overwhelmed to see a full concert with one of the best live bands I've seen! This dvd captured the band almost as good as being there. With the addition of some more classic panic songs I could give it a 5.Still a great time!Sit back and groove!!!!

Summary: Red Hot DVD!!
Review: First of all the Dolby Digital 5.1 makes all the difference for this DVD. The sound is crisp, and the bass is nice. For $X bucks (around the price of a WSP concert ticket), this is well worth it. I wasn't at this show, but I've been to Oak Mtn, and it's a nice venue. The band starts rockin around 'Climb to Safety' and doesn't slow down 'till 'Airplane'. The second set is just as smokin, lots of improve jams. Most songs have nice jams after them, especially the 'Red Hot Mama'. If you are a Panic fan I really recommend this to add to your collection. The extras are nice as well. They interview the band in pairs and it's very down to Earth what everyone says. I recommend showing the interviews to any newbie, before they see the concert footage. The Photo Gallery is a 'slideshow' with 'I'm Not Alone' playing in the background. Anyone who's been in the lot will enjoy this. There are really nice camera angles and effects used. Nice job by the Hanson brothers (check out the movie Scrapple by these men). Good overall DVD, I hope Red Rocks is next, or the documentary!!

Summary: No let down here
Review: I had the great fortune of attending this show. After just walking in the door with my new copy of Live at Oak Mtn, I could hardly wait to put it in and see if I was victim of the buzz I had that night, or did they really kick major rear, as I had remembered. By the time you get to Climb to Safety, you will know this show aint playin'!! If there is a downside, I will say the video could be a little better, given the cameras available today. If you dont believe me, check out the Deads' new View from the Vault 2....you will notice spectacular detail, color, and dead on skin tones. That said, this show captures all that makes you keep going/traveling to see this group get down, tour after tour, year after year. The extra features and fan gallery are cool, and I even spotted my ride in the parking lot in one of the pics. A few yrs back, I met an older dude at a Phish show. We were disussing WSP and Phish and he told me something Ill never forget...Trey of Phish had put on a great show, but included one of his famous, yet long narratives which centered around the land of gamehenge ( most people know what IM talking about) after this long break of a story, the music finally restarted....well, this dude I met looked at me and said in his drunked grizzly voice, "thats what I like about Widespread Panic...Aint no damn story" This DVD/video is exactly that....in your face-no-frills WSP!! Buy it, watch it, savor it!! If you cant appreciate Ride me High, or Airplane into Pusherman, or even Papas home>Surprise Valley>Papa's...well, um...the Michael Bolton section is on the other aisle.

Summary: Why only 4 out of 5?
Review: I have no qualms giving it a full 5 out of 5.

This show rocks. The sound and picture quality are phenomenal. This is a benchmark DVD for live music. The format of DVD with all the extras is one thing - but to not deal with VHS hiss, that's a whole other world.

If you know Panic, you know Mikey just sits and plays. You get lots of great close-up shots of the soloing. If you're a guitarist, you can get a sense of his style from the video. This is exactly why Jerry Garcia did not want videos with close ups of his playing.

The setlist for the show is phenomenal - I'm Not Alone, and Papa's Coming Home - will entrance you. Pop it in at 3 AM.

Summary: Actually did the show justice!
Review: I live 10 min. away from the venue so as you can guess i was there for all three days of the show. it was incredable! i found it extremely hard to believe that a DVD could do the show justice when i saw it live but it did. there were so many people arrested at that show that it wasnt even funny, somthing like 300 viles of lsd were confiscated. they had the drug taskforce out in-force with undercovers. the sound quality is so great that if i turn it up loud and close my eyes it feels like being there all over again minus the beer and sid. i recomend this to everyone. even if you arent a wsp fan buy this and EXPERIENCE the gift of gutar with one of the very best jam-bands ever, this is a must have! this DVD is the closest thing to actually being there that you will ever find. and i have the ticketstubs to go with it, this is great.

Summary: Actually did the show justice!
Review: I'm a new WP fan and just got this DVD. Basically, it's incredible. The sound is awesome, the camera work is very good (they actually show the band, not the audience), and the playing is great. If it's possible to wear out a DVD I may just find that out.

Summary: Next best thing to being there.
Review: I'm relatively new to Widespread Panic but the more I hear (and see) the more I like. This is the best DVD in my collection. There's no fancy stage show or silly theatrics, just great music and a band that obiously loves to play and appreciates their fans.

Summary: Widespread Panic is Smokin' as Always
Review: I've been waiting for some clean, crisp wsp to come out for some time. Finally, it's here. I was fortunate enough to be at this show, so needless to say, I was really excited to see it again. Awesome 5.1 Sound, you can't beat it when you jack up the volume and enjoy. Be Careful, Schools will rip your sub-woofer a new one. PHAT BASS BOMBS. Mikey smokin' on the guitar, JB INCREDIBLE as always, JOJO, Todd and Sonny, always on top of their game. Solid show all around. "Climb to Safety", "RHM", "Papa>Suprise>Papa" are all amazing. All around I'm very happy to have this show in my collection, and I think the Hanson's and WSP did a great job.
Unfortunately, as the case with widespread, I still want mo'! You can never get enough dirty panic! :)

Summary: Kind of Funny isn't it
Review: It's amazing to read all of the reviews, aside from ppl who simply don't like the band and see that it's rating is not a 5. Fact of the matter is, everyone who truly appreciates the dvd is a true panic fan, which means they actually have the ability to critique a band they love(fans of John Mayer take note). This DVD is simplly incredible, and while it is not the best show I've seen or heard via bootlegs, it is a pleasure to watch. This would be a welcome addition into anyone's music collection who appreciates the ability to rock out and groove, while sitting back and sippin on a "Tallboy."
