Summary: I feel better knowing Peggy Lee is just a DVD away...
Review: A rare filmed concert of Peggy Lee. Although not one of her greatest performances - having been filmed late in her career - it is a wonderful opportunity to see her in a live setting. I have always enjoyed this concert but to my surprise - there are addition songs on the DVD release that were never included on previous editions on video (VHS and LaserDisc). "Lover," "I'm A Woman," "Hey Big Spender," "Love Me or Leave Me" and others - nearly 20 minutes of additional footage. A must have for any Peggy Lee fan.

Review: About 15 years ago, I saw Peggy Lee at the Ballroom (in NYC) for the very first time. She was in her late 60's at the time...maybe even her early 70's...and put on a show that I will never forget....

This dvd is of a performance that wasn't too long before that night. It brought back some fantastic memories for me.

Having no experience with the "younger Peggy"...I am quite pleased to have a DVD that shows her the way I first encountered her....

Of course, I've heard everything she's done since then and love both the young and old Peggy.

Buy the DVD...Have a glass of wine...and let Peggy entertain you for an hour and a half....She so obviously loves what she is doing..you can't help but love it and her too.

Summary: The Best (and only) Filmed Concert of a Great Legend
Review: For those tried and true Peggy Lee fans, this is a "must have" for your video collection. I purchased it in 1993 while living in Los Angeles, CA, and I have never regretted it!

Although the sound quality is a bit poor, it gives her fans a good look-see of the crooner during her later years. Barely moving her lips, she sings such favorites as "Is That All There Is", and the eye watering, "The Folks Who Live On the Hill".

My hope is that someone will convert this video to DVD one day, and using today's technology, improve the color and audio tracks of the original work. Unfortunately, we can't, as viewers, change the venue of where the concert took place (a tacky Atlantic City supper club of sorts), but this still should not keep a true "Peggy" fan from putting this video on the "A" list.

Summary: Peggy Lee at her Best
Review: If you are a fan of Peggy Lee you will love this. The sound quality is not state of the art, but its great to see a document of this women in action in her later performance years. It's got all! Her version of Wind Beneigh My Wings is the definative one. My only complaint is the cheesy cheesy Atlantic City room and audience.

Summary: You have to see Peggy Lee to really appreciate her singing
Review: Let's keep this one simple. This 1984 Atlantic City concert is certainly not Peggy Lee in her prime. She was a couple of decades past that that back then. But what this video tape gives you is something you just cannot get from any of her albums: you get to SEE Peggy Lee sing "Is That All There Is?" Watch her face as she sings (which is difficult at times with all the camera insisting on way too many long shots). With every look she adds as much to the meaning of the lyrics as she does with her voice, and you know what the woman can do with her voice. Lee does pretty much all of her hits, with "The Folks Who Live on the Hill" and "I Love Being Here With You" being the other two stand out performances. If you are a fan of Peggy Lee or a lover of jazz, then this video is one you want to own. If only one of her 1950's concerts had been preserved on film as well. Oh, well...
