Review: I have been not been to any Shania concerts yet but the Chicago concert makes me wish I could have attended this one. Shania is SO full of energy, constantly moving, interacting with the crowd...it is fantastic to watch! And the audience! Wow are they hyper or what? Everyone on the dvd is extremely excited to see Shania's first concert in the US since 1999! The band is fabulous too! This concert just had so much energy and anyone that passes up this DVD doesn't know what they're missing! And yes, there are extra songs that Shania performed at Chicago that were not shown on the TV special 6 of them! So you're in for a real treat! I'm telling you, anyone would love this for a present and if there's no one to buy it for, then buy it for yourself because this is one awesome energy filled concert! Shania definitely rocks this country as will this dvd!

Summary: Shania is Back With Her Up (Live in Chicago) DVD
Review: When I first learned that I would be unable to attend the concert in Chicago and second I would be unable to watch the special on NBC, I assured myself that I didn't miss it because it would eventually come out on DVD. Well, this was worth the wait! In addition to admiring Shania's talent in song writing, she does a wonderful job performing on the stage and encouraging fan interaction. It was great when she brought kids on the stage to sing I'm Gonna Getcha Good! One of the best songs on the DVD is When You Kiss Me because of the special surprise on stage before Shania performs this song. The concert is a blend of songs from the new album and hits from Come On Over and The Woman In Me. I'm a little disappointed that When and Come On Over didn't make it into the concert, but I am very satisfied that Shania included Rock This Country and Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? I will probably watch parts of this DVD every day to keep myself in a good mood. I recommend this DVD to anybody that likes music. I love Shania Twain!

Review: I LOVE SHANIA!!. I have practically every CD of her's, my friends do not like her that much. I bought this DVD cause I tried recording the TV version of it when it came out, the problem was that I had to go to work, and my brother changed the channel from the concert to the news. This DVD is the best, she is energetic, beautiful, and just fabulous. I love her and her bands new look. I saw her at the AMC Awards and I loved her outfit on the carpet and her outfit when she sang......She is just a SUPERSTAR!. This DVD has great audio, a lot of people are saying the audio sucks, it all depends on what you have it connected to. I had mine connected to my stereo, so it sounded great, and the picture is great. Crystal clear........this is a must have for any Shania fan.--Andrew

Summary: This woman knows how to entertain
Review: Listen I'll keep this short. Shania Twain has come a very long way in a very short time. Her songs are well written and well done live. I mean the woman has a beautiful voice but its something about how she carries herself onstage. I recently seen her in Detroit in the 8th row and I have to say she completely captivated me and the entire audience.
This DVD footage is incredible. Its shot along the lake in Chicago on a warm summer night in 2003 just before her current tour began. The crowd is mixed with young-older, male-female you name it.
Shania's band is incredible. I mean they all have great talent but I credit Shania and her producer husband with allowing these band members to roam the stage and have a damn good time. And it shows, these band members are not just something off to the side they are a big part of the show!
Now about Shania. This woman simply has the charisma charm talent and energy to make Chicago get very "UP"....
I highly recommend this DVD its the next best thing to a live concert seat with one of the most beautiful female singers in the world today. Turn up your home theater systems and get ready this lady is going to party..

Summary: Shania is back!
Review: Ok some of my friends don't like Shania's music but like to look at her but forget her looks because this girl can "ROCK!" the foundations of your house (With a good stereo or home theatre system that is.). Shania Twain puts a new twist on county music, mixing pop, rock and county music together to put on one hell of a concert. The 22 songs a fantastic, the high-lights of the concert are (Songs.) "Honey I'm home", "When you kiss me (Now watch out because there is a surprise before she performs the song for two very lucky fans.)", "(Another surprise here again for two fans.) I'm gonna getcha good!", "I'm outta here!", "In my car" and for the biggest number of the night with a spectacular finish "Rock this county!". 5 out of 5 stars goes to the stage director, great lighting, great platform and love the small fire works that are set off during the concert, it is a very good stage for Shania and her great band. This concert is a MUST for any Shania Twain fan or if you have never listen to her before you are missing out on a great concert and performer/entertainer. For those of you that are Shania fans this concert is a great place to capture pictures on your computer of her doing what she loves to do. Down to the DVD well that is the only disappointing thing about it, I give no stars for the special features, 1.5 out of 5 stars for the front and back cover pictures (they are not good, I have got better pictures of her and her band myself from the same concert.), no 16:9 widescreen and NO DTS what is going on here? The Dolby 5.1 channel sound is ok but not good enough (It rates about 3.5 stars out of 5.) for Shania Twain, DD 5.1 track is still a bit cut down, her voice is beautiful but sadly is not shown or herd in it's true form has if it was professionally mix in DTS 5.1 surround sound. Shania's voice is spread too much into the left and right front speakers and not enough in the centre speaker were it should be. Sadly I feel that this release of her first on stage performance in 3 years on DVD is an insult to Shania Twain, she is a sweetheart and deserves a state-of-the-art DVD not some cheap DVD release, Shania Twain UP! Live in Chicago needs to be re-released on DVD again in DTS and offer way more special features. I must thank Shania's husband "MUTT" for helping her make great music. All-in-all this DVD is highly recommended.

Review: Shania is great. The music is great. But I think the DVD could have been a lot better. The camera angles changed so often and so quickly it was distracting and annoying. The band and the audience was shown too much and Shania not enough.
