Summary: great entertainment, wonderful music
Review: After the first couple of songs, Engelbert really lets loose in this concert, even doing a terrific rap, which includes a moonwalk, as well as some nifty rock 'n' roll songs; the medley of "Great Balls of Fire"/"Proud Mary" is fabulous, and one of my favorite numbers in the show, and others include the gentle performance of "The Shadow of Your Smile" with solo piano accompaniment, the beautiful "Love is a Many Splendored Thing", and Eng's exquisite rendition of Lionel Richie's "Still".

The sound and visual clarity are exceptional, and a rarity to have it this good for a live performance (the single released in 2000 however, "How to Win Your Love", is lip-synched). Daughter Louise Dorsay sings "Heaven Help My Heart", and though she doesn't have daddy's vocal chords (and who does), she is elegant and beautiful, with a lovely personality...and is certainly better than some of our current crop of pop singers.
The band led by Eddie Tobin is terrific and play their heart out, and include seasoned musicians Brian Fox ~ keyboards, Mitch Reilly ~ sax, Dan Kent Sherrill ~ percussion, Dwight Smith ~ drums, Roy Vogt ~ bass, and Kenneth Cramer ~ guitar. Melissa Coleman and Regina Leigh King do a great job with the back-up vocals.

Filmed at the London Palladium in 2000, this is a DVD that gets better with each viewing, with Engelbert wearing his years (he was 63 at the time) with amazing vitality and a musical gift that is wide-ranging and full of artistry; one also gets the sense of a man who has accepted the ups and downs of life with grace, and is immensely likeable. Total running time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Summary: No comments about this legend, simply the best after 21centur
Review: I always compare this live concert with The "paul Anka-Night of the Lifetime". Paul Anka DVD, his songs is very very short, sung in medley some more, he changing the lyrics into joke, not serious
about his song at all, compare to This LIVE DVD sung by Engelbert ......(paul)is way far behind, maybe b'coz he (paul anka)is in VEgas only $$$ on his mind or may be he using a wrong
way to entertain. Alice cooper the best turn his concert into movie without feel bore.

Summary: Engelbert at his very best !
Review: I bought the "Live at the London Palladium" in VHS, to see with my VCR. Haven't gotten a DVD player yet.

Engelbert is GREAT ! Every song he sang, his band, and his daughter Louise, made for a really super show !

I have watched that tape daily for 2 weeks. Just cannot get enough of his wonderful voice, personality, and energy!

When he was younger he was fantastic, but as a more mature
entertainer, HE IS THE BEST !
The song selection was great, and each and every person on that stage, as part of his band, did a fantastic job.
I hope to hear him for many years to come.
Enge..... you still are the best!

Summary: Beautiful concert but the audio is not so good
Review: I enjoy watching this concert of Engelbert Humperdinck held at the London Palladium. He sang most of his old greatest hits. I like his rendition of the the song "Still" and " Love Is A Many Splendoured Thing". Too bad because this concert is only recorded on Dolby Digital 2.0. It would be much better if it is recorded on Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS because the audio of Dolby Digital 2.0 is not so very good.

Summary: The Best
Review: I have several of EH's videos, and this is my favorite. His concert is full of surprises that retain their freshness as I watch it again and again. The band is fantastic, EH gives all to the audience in his performance, and his renditions of The Shadow of Your Smile, Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing, and especially , the Bert Bachrach song Nothing In This World are captivating, soulful, and reflective of EH's great voice control.
