Review: Having been a Dead Milkmen fan since the 80's, I was happy that they released some sort of dvd. In my opinion, this dvd should have had a full-length professionally filmed concert from one single show. Maybe from a later tour (early 90's), but of course, I don't even know if they ever filmed any live stuff professionally. Maybe they didn't and that's why there's none of that here.
There are a few bootlegged live songs from different shows which are cool to watch, though. It's kind of like watching some of those old live punk videos from bands like Circle Jerks or 7 Seconds. (I can't remember what that series of punk videos is called) The best live song on this dvd is Watching Scotty Die, which they're playing outside a record store in Austin, Tx.
Then there's all their videos. Of course there's Punk Rock Girl, plus videos for other songs that I never knew they made videos for, like Methodist Coloring Book, The Thing That Olny Eats Hippies, Smokin' Banana Peels, and a few others.
Then there's some sort of local Philly news segment talking about the Dead Milkmen. If I'm guessing correctly, that was while they were touring for Big Lizard and preparing to release Eat Your Paisley.
Then there's the making of Punk Rock Girl and Smokin' Banana Peels, which aren't very interesting.
I think Bitchin' Camaro, If I Had A gun, or Takin' Retards To The Zoo should have been included on this dvd one way or another.
Buy hey, this is the Dead Milkmen! I'm glad they have a dvd at all! This is a must for the fans and even for the curious.

Summary: Dead at last!
Review: I've been a Dead Milkmen fan for years. I own all of their albums, but I have never seen them live, or seen any live footage of them, or seen any of their videos. SO, when I saw this in the store, I just HAD to buy it!

SO I DID!

This dvd has a number of their videos, along with some live performances, and some other neat stuff! I guess I'm a bit disappointed with it. The live footage is interesting and lead singer Rodney Anonymous is fun to watch, but the sound quality for some of the songs is very poor...almost bootleg quality. There are a few songs where Rodney's vocals are practically inaudible. And as for the videos, I guess these guys weren't given that much of a budget, especially for "The Secret Of Life", which would have made ED WOOD proud!

On the upside, the videos are very funny, especially "Punk Rock Girl", which all of my friends used to rave about! I love this band and really loved their sense of humor and that sense of humor is all over this DVD. The band could really rock out live, so in that aspect the live footage is very good.

I think my favorite thing on here is the news segment on the Dead Milkmen from 85 or 86. Rodney gets in one very funny quote, which I will not reveal here, as it's the funniest thing on the entire DVD!

If you are a Dead Milkmen fan, you should definitely buy this!

Review: This DVD is awesome. It has all of their music videos (including "The Secret Of Life" which is now out of print). The live videos are interesting but the sound quality isn't that good. But that really doesn't matter because the videos and audio tracks rock so much. Buy this DVD if your a Milkmen fan.
