Summary: This is a MUST HAVE dvd
Review: ...well neither is winning a million dollars!!!! This dvd is great. "Making Love is Good for You" is a great tune. Hey the man is a couple of years shy of 80 years old... and can still make beautiful music. "Please Accept My Love" is sweet song and good introduction to "Makin' love is good for you". Heck if you ain't seen the man play it's about high time. You will not be dissatisfied. The sound is great and the "Interview with B.B. King" segment is great too...... Buy this dvd!!!

Summary: B.B.KING IS HERE NOW!
Review: B.B. King is the greatest. Tears became taking out in the figure that he plays the guitar. And,I was satisfied so much with his forcible voice and the sound of the "Luccile". Moreover, the picture was also very beautiful. I wanna him to continue to sing & play for all the way. Keep on bluesin' B.B.!!

Summary: The Master!!!
Review: Having seen BB every year when he comes to town... This is the real thing. The DTS track is amazing! This is pretty much his full current set, no annoying cuts and splices like the Blues Summit DVD that came out the same day as this one.

The picture is crystal clear. I didn't know what to expect, but after watching Image's James Brown DVD, I didn't think this could top it, which it at least equals IMHO.

I saw a gig with Buddy Guy and BB King last year and Buddy said it aptly, "We are the only ones left!" See him when you can, while you can!

Also, the BB King blues band is full of the top jazz/blues musicians around. Get it now you won't be disappointed!

Summary: The Thrill is *NOT* Gone!
Review: Hey, the man is an absolute legend, and deservedly so. This legendary status is not the product of clever marketing like so many of today's stars, but of years of playing the blues. He is just a giant figure in the blues -- talented, yet humble and down-to-earth, gifted, and with decade upon decade of experience.

This video does him justice. The sound quality is excellent. The setting -- a restaurant-jazz-club style is intimate and classy (hey, he could fill up a stadium with fans!). His band is excellent. Everyone is dressed up tastefully. The video is excellent....no annoying MTV-style angles, no annoying cuts. And B B himself comes across wonderfully, his facial expressions, his dialogue between the songs, his playing.

I particulary liked "Peace of Mind". This is a great DVD, and any blues or jazz fan should have this in their archive.

Summary: King of the Blues in the Twilight
Review: The clarity of the sound and video make this a real showcase for DTS productions. BB's voice is still tremendous and he demonstrates the bluesman's tradition of weaving a story into his performance. This is not the BB King of twenty or even ten years ago with the exception of a couple of tracks the back up band plays more than BB. There are couple of tracks where BB makes Lucile sing in his one of a kind style. The DVD is some what bittersweet because it is a little like watching Joe Montanna play for the Chiefs or Mickey Mantle hit 220. You are seeing BB in the twilight of his career. Over all this is a very well mixed and produced DVD. A great example of what DTS technology can do. This is as close to the feeling you would get seeing BB play in a small venue bar in the midwest. The sound is great. It is too bad DTS was not around twenty years ago when the great bluesmen were at their zenith.
