Summary: Stevie rocks it at red rocks
Review: It's like a story from where Stevie gets on her plane, arrives, waves to the fans, the backstage and then on to her opening with outside the rain. It gives you a real good feel as you believe you are part of the audience in your own lounge room. Stand Back is really boppy with quite a long instrumental before Stevie starts to sing. I have to agree with others on this review that Talk to Me sounds better on her CD. Beauty and the Beast really brings home the emotion and it is so apt how the white winged dove flys on to the stage. I liked the ending where Stevie braves it to go and meet her audience and you get the feeling that she and the audience have really appreciated one another. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Good Video
Review: Not the best Stevie Nicks Video I have ever seen, but far from the worst. Stevie's etherial beauty and rich vocals come out wonderfully. In my opinion, there is too much pan and scan of things I'm not interested in, ie: anything but Stevie and the Band. Waddy on guitar, and Lori, Sharon, and Elisecia on backup vocals were marvelous. I'm sure you will hear some people whine about "she doesn't follow the lyrics from the album" DUH! this IS live music, and besides, these are HER songs, so she can change the words to suit her. Anyway, she could sing random words from the dictionary, and I would probably enjoy hearing it.

Summary: Nice for a true fan
Review: Personally I feel this is a great addition to any Stevie/FM collection. I've read some negative reviews about the dubbed in shots, etc... From what I understand, she was not happy with the way she looked in this show, post rehab, and wanted some better images dubbed in. Can't blame her. I guess they highly edit a lot of their videos. If you watch Mirage closely, you will see LOTS of editing. Look at her hair. In one shot it's braided, in the very next shot (same song) it's down. Also listen to Sisters of the Moon. Right before the line "so we make our choices" the entire song slows way down and the beats are off. It's obviously mixed with another night's concert. To me though, the most endearing thing about Red Rocks is the fact that it portrays her as human. She could have chucked the whole project, knowing she looked and acted pretty bad, but she chose to get it out to her fans with some "touch ups." Nice show of character...

Summary: Touching, drug-fueled magic
Review: So 80s it hurts, but somehow timeless. She arrives in a limo, with huge sunglasses, smiling and waving. Before you know it, she's being hustled out on stage, looking fairly wasted. It's enthralling, moving, and her voice will never be beaten. The devoted dove bit seems set up... but I could be wrong. It's all very dramatic. If you love Stevie, you'll want to see this.

Summary: A Must For Stevie Fans!
Review: Stevie Nicks: Live at Red Rocks is fantastic!!! It really captures the beauty of Colorado!!! Stevie is STUNNING and her voice is awesome (as always)!!! The only disappointment is the obviously staged close-ups. I would recommend this DVD for anyone who is a hard-core Stevie fan!!!

Summary: Good Performance but lacks sound quality
Review: Stevie puts on a dynamite performance that makes this one worth the buy, but the audio quality is only fair to poor. It lacks midrange and appears to be just a copy of the VHS with no digital sound upgrade. Most analog recordings can outshine this one by far. I used a 24 band EQ to try and help it along, yet it still lacked brilliance, and did not mirror the sound character that this live performance had. There are no extras on this DVD, and no special features that most concert type DVDs usually have. Save the price of the DVD, and just buy the VHS;it will probably be just as good, or perhaps even better!
