Review: NO DVD CONCERT ON THE MARKET TODAY COMES CLOSE TO MATCHING THE ENERGY AND SOUND OF THIS GREAT R&R BAND. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO SIT STILL THROUGHOUT THIS CONCERT.

Summary: Steve Augeri and Journey rock into the 21st Century
Review: This has got to be the best ever. The superb voice of Steve Augeri and musical talents of the band take this concert to the top of all entertainment. Steve Augeri cranks it out with such Steve Perry style. It's amazing how their voices are so similar.
Listening to old Journey tapes it is apparent the new Journey's music is more intense. "KEEP THE JOURNEY GOING"!

Summary: The future of Journey...
Review: An enjoyable DVD! Very well done in sound and picture. As a longtime fan (also a friend of Mike Baird, drummer during the "Raised on Radio" tour 86-88) the guys make it look easy. I've seen them a few times (even this tour) and the "New sound" is impressive! I think however, the new vocalist Steve Augeri struggles at times (it seems) to meet the classic Steve Perry sound, (nobody can I know). It's fun to see and hear the best of Journey on this one! A "Must have DVD" for your collection. Enjoy!

Summary: They've Done it Again!
Review: Time doesn't seem to affect Journey in this new DVD, recorded on New Year's Eve 2000/2001 in Las Vegas. Returning to the lineup are long-time members Jonathan Cain (keys), and founding bassist and guitarist--Ross Valory and Neal Schon, respectively. New to the band are drummer Deen Castronovo (of Steve Vai, Ozzy, Tony MacAlpine and Marty Friedman fame) and new to the arena rock profession, vocalist Steve Augeri.
Many unjustly refer to Augeri as "Steve Perry with a perm", which is ludicrous. He does nothing but justice to the classic Journey songs in this concert, while giving everything his own flair and artistic influences. Playing two songs from their latest studio album, "Arrival", Augeri shows what he's really got and that he's not just a Perry-clone.
All in all, every member is in fine form (especially Valory, who's just as much of a monster bassist as ever). Everything from the thick and lush choruses to the solos and drum fills sounds better than ever--as if given a new breath of life. Highlights include the elongated version of "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'", and the rare RARE playing of La Raza Del Sol, a Santana-influenced samba rock tune only released on their "Time3" box set. Fantastic instrumentality!
So, before I linger on anymore: bring this one home, crank up the speakers, and just let it all rock like there's no tomrrow! The Journey carries on!

Summary: The best Journey concert yet
Review: This DVD is amazing to say the least. In fact, being a young fan who has not been exposed to older bands, it was watching part of this concert that got me hooked in the first place. With a few fresh cuts from their new album Arrival tossed in with some of the classics like "Faithfully" and "Don't Stop Believin'", there's no way this DVD can be anything less than awesome. Proof that great music never goes out of style!

Summary: Steve (Perry) Who????
Review: In a word(or 2) Steve Who? This new guy (also named Steve) kicks butt. And if you saw "Behind the Music" all I can say is "Now that Steve Perry is gone- I am a new fan. Now Journey can record and tour like a real Rock n Roll band.

Summary: Great DVD
Review: I bought this DVD on a lark. I've always loved Journey but had a tough time thinking they could go on without Steve Perry. I was wrong. This is an amazing DVD. Steve Augeri is an amazing vocalist, a perfect replacement for one of the best voices ever.

Summary: Journey 2001 & Beyond
Review: Journey 2001 & beyond...Journey as a band and as a musical entity have a lot of life left, all you need to do is watch the first few moments of this DVD and you will feel the raw energy and power that only comes with a great rock band live! What are you waiting for?? Buy this DVD, it is the next best thing to being at a live Journey show and it just happens to be one of the best live performances I have seen.

Summary: Stunning
Review: As a resident of the UK the chances of me ever getting to see Journey live are zilch. Thankfully the anguish is easier to bare thanks to this rather splendid live DVD.

This performance captures the band in blistering form, the set is basically the greatest hits album and a couple of tracks from the then forthcoming album 'Arrival', but who's complaining? Not me.

The sound is superb, the picture razor sharp, but best of all is the bands performance. New vocalist Steve Augeri is the perfect replacement for Steve Perry. Drummer Dean Castronovo is a powerhouse of a player, watch him smack those skins during 'Separate Ways' - wow. Neal Schon is just Neal - i.e. perfect, Ross Valory shows what a consumate professional he is (and also that he has one of the fattest bass sounds around) and as for Jonathan Cain, well, another virtuoso.

The track listing has everything you could want on it, I would have liked to have seen somre more tracks from 'Arrival' but I'll take what I am given and this is more than enough.

Do you deserve this DVD??? Yes you do - BUY IT NOW!!
