Summary: One of this year's best concert videos!
Review: Sophie Muller did a terrific job shooting the last concert video "SADE LIVE," but really tops it off with the latest "Lovers Live" dvd/video. It is beautifully shot, and every move SADE makes is stunning and sexy. Smooth Operator where the cover shot comes from is one of the highlights of the show. The band is also a great force behind this excellent concert as you can see by watching the instrumental jam Red Eye.
Excellent DVD and the price is right.

Summary: Lovers Live Forever!
Review:
Prior to this, i have not actually watched a full Sade concert on video. I have been a fan for a while and was very surprised to see this live concert in superb aural and visual clarity.
The wild fans cheer with each Sade number, and not to mention how great this 40-ish soul bird looks in that Chinese cheongsam. She's hot. what's even hotter are the songs. From the breathtaking 1st number Cherish The Day to oldies such as Smooth Operator and Jezebel and newer stuff suchn as By Your Side, you know you havent heard anything like this yet. the old songs take on a new dimension, making them as relevant as they were 15 years back. Sade sounds terribly soulful and her stage charm is irresistable. She doesn't say much but her lo-tech-hi-style show promises to be fun too especially when Sade take to the floor and dances quite admirably. Something i didn't quite expect of her and the fact that she pulls it off with so much grace is definitely worth watching this show.
Her costume change next brings on her funkier edge, where she performs the very funky Flow from Lovers Rock. The rock rocked every part of it. Her backup singers and band are pretty cool too, sychronizing with her seamlessly on each number.
If you havent had the chance to see this lady in person, see her on this cool DVD/video.

Summary: Great Artist - Okay DVD
Review: What can you say about Sade that hasn't already been said. She is in a class by herself. I cant' say enough about how good the band and artist are.
The DVD itself although much anticipated was a bit of a let down. The image is not crisp, there are no lyrics, no subtitles, the sound is only average. The extras are cute but not outstanding. I would recommend the DVD to any fan, but with a note that her Sade Live DVD is better looking and sounding. The band is also a bit un-engaged with what is going on. With the DVD filmed in the first few weeks of her tour I would have expected more energy and interaction from the band members. But in the end all eyes are on Sade - so who cares if Stuart Matthewman never smiles?

Review: I love Sade, went out and bought the Live DVD.
Came home, pop it into the DVD and I forgot that I was at home. You couldn't tell me that I wasn't there. With twenty-two songs, some old favorites. I would recommend this to everyone.

Summary: What a Bargain!
Review: What more could you ask for? Nearly two hours of Sade for less than twenty dollars. This DVD is captivating to say the least. I cannot get enough of it. The arrangement of Somebody Already Broke My Heart with a taste of Never As Good As The First Time is almost worth the price alone. I own the "Sade Live" DVD and I thought that was amazing but this is right up there with the previous offering. The DVD does stall in the middle but it is not enough to keep you from enjoying the band performing at their peak with Sade out front giving it her all. Buy it now!

Review: I saw this concert live last year in 2001 and it was amazing! So after getting the DVD I could not wait to play it an relive that evening. The concert was filmed great, without the kind of panning that makes you dizzy. The sound and quality were top notch. Sade's band is amazing. They are so tight. When you get this DVD you will be mesmerized like I was at the concert. Also if your a fan, get the Sade Live concert DVD which was, I believe the first one she put out. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Good but not Exceptional
Review: I waited in anticipation for this DVD but to be honest I'm disappointed with it. While its great to see another live concert from Sade this performance pales in comparison to the Sade Live DVD. The staging of Sade Live is better, the band have more charisma and energy and the recording quality is better. If you are getting one Sade DVD get "Sade Live" which includes much of the material on this release and captures a far more engaging stage peformance in my opinion.
