Summary: I'm sure it was a terrific performance!
Review: I'm sure the show was great, but my head's still reeling from the editing that must have been done by a teenage boy who suffers from severe ADHD and lives off of sugar and playstations. Well, at least that's what it felt like.

Pros: Sheryl is gorgeous, she's in top condition, the energy was high, and she looked like she was having a ball. The concert comes packed with a great setlist with numerous favorites.

Cons: Like many people have mentioned, both the filming and editing, for lack of a better word, sucks. The cameras zoom in, zoom out, blur out of focus on purpose just to re-focus (for effect, I guess). It's weird, because instead of focusing on Sheryl, the next shot inevitably zooms in on her guitarist's hand or her drummer's head. (I'm not kidding, they zoom in on hands, a LOT.) You also don't get more than 5 seconds in any one shot. Her bandmate's must be happy, because you see a lot the camera shares tons of love with her band--too much. I'm all for giving the rest of the band credit and screentime, but I don't pay for a concert DVD to see that much of the band.

I'm watching the DVD right now, and the shot's just moved from Sheryl's head, to a close up of the lead guitarist's hand, to a wide shot of the stage, to the discoball, to Sheryl's backside--all complete with zooms, blur effects, kaleidoscope effects, and swivels and swirls of camera moment--and all this took place in less than 30 seconds.

It's almost as if they desperately wanted a to give the DVD a "high energy" feel. Either that, or everybody in the editing room were hyper sorts who forgot to take their sedatives the day they put the DVD together. It didn't quite nauseate me, but it certainly got annoying in a quite a couple of spots when you just want to watch Sheryl for more than a few seconds at a time.

Silly me, I even read the reviews here and went ahead and bought the DVD, thinking the other reviewers exaggerated a bit about the schizophrenic editing. I don't know who okayed the job, but I would have told them to redo the whole thing within two minutes of watching it. They call it editing; I call it "slice, splice, and slap together."

Please, a little compassion for those who get motion sick or dizzy easily!

Summary: Calling all Sheryl Crow fans
Review: I've heard all the critics review this DVD and yes the sound could of been a bit better with the DTS 5.1 but bottom line if you are a Sheryl Crow fan you are going to love this DVD. I have every CD of hers and both of her DVD's and Sheryl rocks! OH and yes she's very, very sexy too!

Summary: "A Stellar Performance for all to Enjoy"
Review: If you have been hearing the name Sheryl Crow lately there is a good reason. This DVD is one of them, recorded in a location that is "America". Sheryl and her band put on a really great show. If you've only heard "all I wanna do" track 14. This experience is a must.

The sound is excellent for a live recording, it rivals the studio work. The video and lighting effects support the mood and at times the message. Make sure you don't pass this one by.

Makes a great gift.

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: If your collection has only one Sheryl Crow DVD this is the one to own!

Summary: An already great artist brings it up a notch
Review: Last summer, a business associate, Dave Fitzgerald of DCF Concerts in Oklahoma City, who regionally promotes over 200 shows a year told me the Sheryl Crow concert he witnessed at the Smirnoff Theatre in Dallas ranked among the top 5 shows he ever saw. Pretty impressive coming from a promoter whose been involved with well over 1000 shows.

After seeing "C'mon America" I can see why.

From the opening "Steve McQueen" Sheryl proves why she is a big-time headliner.

The sound quality is not quite DTS, but is more than sufficient to entertain. This one is no comparison to "Rockin The Globe". Sheryl takes her already great voice and music up a notch. Watching "I Shall Believe" reminded me of why I got into her music in the first place ... watching her closing cover of Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" shows just how far she has come.

This easily ranks among the Eagles "Hell Freezes Over" and U2's "Come Home" as the best rock concert DVD's available.

If you're a Sheryl fan, this one's much much better than the "Globe" DVD and is worth getting along with "Live at Budokan". I might add ... its nice they finally caught a live performance of Sheryl where the crowd is totally into it.

Summary: wonderful
Review: Living in Italy it's not easy to attend a Sheryl's live show for me but I've just finished to watch this wonderful DVD and I feel like I've been there in Ohio those magic nights! All is perfect, energic and surprising too (the man that wraps Sheryl with an U.S. flag...), the quality of video and audio is fantastic too and the backstage videos are very nice.
I like the playlist too (my favourite: Everyday is a winding road with a shakin' Sheryl, I Shall Believe, Safe and Sound).
There is also a new song (Let's get free).
High recommended for all music fan not only to Sheryl's fans.

Summary: Lousy audio, poor quality video. Spastic editing.
Review: Lousy audio, poor quality video(it's not even anamorphic), The editing is spastic and annoying, must have been done by a 12 year old with ADD. The shots of Sheryl's big wide sweaty backside never seem to stop. Even the banter is immature and half-wit.

Don't waste your money on this one.

Review: She never looked better. She sounds great. "Weather Channel" is worth the entire price.

Summary: Great looking and sounding concert!
Review: Sheryl Crow is a brilliant artist and this concert displays that. This is one of a very few concert dvd's that can be played beggining to end. There's not a dud to be found.Sheryl is so "on",that I found myself checking for overdubs but have yet to find any obvious ones. Her band is extremely tight, engaging, and fun to watch. This concert was filmed with Hi-Definition cameras, and the results are dazzling. There is no DTS track, but the dolby track is excellent! It's mixed very well, with nice separation of instruments, vocals, and deep, full bottom end. There wasn't a dry eye in the room after Sheryl played Safe and Sound.Wonderfully filmed, this is a total concert experience, and a great showcase of a supremely talented treasure.

Summary: Sheryl Shines for America (& Dayton too) !
Review: Sheryl Crow's 'C'mon America' dvd is a must for any music lover. It captures Sheryl at a pinnacle in her musical career (which keeps spiraling upward) while supporting the tour for her most widely acclaimed & successful effort to date. I've been a fan from the start and have seen a couple of her shows (including the second night in Dayton from which most of this dvd was captured).

The audio is far superior to the 'Rockin the Globe' dvd put out a few years back and the video does a good job of trying to relive the atmosphere of the evening. But this is as close as it's going to get to experiencing a talented and gifted performer without buying a ticket. The sound actually sounds better than when it was recorded so alittle 'sweetening' must of been done, but it is undetectable. And the dvd also provides alittle behind the scences look at Sheryl playing on the Fraze Pavillions lawn with her dog 'Scout' before the show. And also meeting some fans, neighbors and children before and after the shows.

The show is also far better than her 'Central Park' gathering which she recorded with her superstar friends (Clapton, Nicks, Dixie Chicks & others) for television broadcast and put out on CD. She proves that she can attract and keep a sold-out crowd wanting more even after an exhausing 2 hour performance by herself.

The set list provides for all of her hits to date from 'Leaving Las Vegas', through 'My Favorite Mistake' up to her current remake of the classic 'The First Cut is the Deepest' (which Rod Stewart made popular). It also contains a couple songs not widely commercially available like 'Weather Channel', which was appropriate that evening due to a constant threat of rain which never materalized and 'Let's Get Free' a song which I heard for the first time that evening and I throughly enjoyed.

C'mon America, if your not a fan, your just a viewing away from appreciating one of Americas most beloved treasures which continues to develope her songwriting, musicianship, and performing skills at a level far above others on the current music scene. It is must viewing for viewers (and listeners) of great music !
