Review: I am an absolute fan of Yngwie's music, however I did not enjoy this video as much as I would have liked. I did not feel that the production was all that great and the lighting gave little to be desired. Yngwie's music however was awsome! Not enough of his guitar solo material (which I tend to prefer only). The sound was really good and there were some great angles. Something I did find a little humorous was how Yngwie was doing so many karate kicks, a bit cheasy. Yngwie is the best guitarist though, but not the best stage performer.

Review: I bought this DVD four months ago and I stil don't see all the DVD! The video and sound are awful. If you want to see a nice Yngwie performance with good quality I sugget to try Yngwie's VHS Ricing force 1985.

Summary: What is up with the audio?
Review: I can't believe Yngwie Malmsteen would allow such a poor DVD out. The visual quality of this DVD concert is really good, but at times rather cheesy. As for the audio, it is really something to be desired. Not only is it mixed at a terribly low volume, but I can't even hear a seperation within the instruments. I can't believe what I heard. My dad and I recorded a song using a small mic and an MD recorder and it sounds a million times better than this DVD! How can a small mic and MD recorder sound better than the audio mix on this DVD? The answer is quite simple...we have better equipment. In closing, this DVD is a HUGE disappointment. You would be better off buying Yngwie's albums.

Summary: Not as good as i had hoped
Review: I had high expectations when i ordered this DVD. I own other music DVD's of other bands (Steely Dan, Stevie Ray Vaughan) and they were all excellent. I've got a...[new] home theatre setup so that really helped to make those DVD's (or any DVD) special. So when Yngwie Malmsteen Live! arrived, i was at first excited to throw it on but once i took it out of the box it came in, i saw the case of the DVD. Looked very budget,... and it just didn't have what i was looking for. Cheesy effects put through to look cool but don't, and Yngwie's kicks, by god the kicks. Someone should tell him not to do that, it makes him look bad for how much talent he has. most of the shots were bad too. No good angles. Now i hate being so harsh with my rating, but this really doesn't compare to other music DVD's I've bought. i would say to most people not to buy this, unless you are just adding to a collection. Not much replay value here. Not much initial value either :)

Review: I have seen this video before (VHS), it does have an excellent image and sound quality...this is precisely what I was looking for. This is one of the most pleasant performances of Yngwie...There is no too much to say...it is just the Maestro in action!!!!!

Review: i have this DVD and AUDIO CDseems this video taken from couple concert, i've only got this DVD! never seen yngwie before the sounds it change from time to time the INTRO of FAR BEYOND THE SUN (MONO)! GATES OF BABYLON not found it also there's couple song ; but you can see yngwie play ORCHESTRAL#2 IN B MINOR 99% of acoustic solo not found it except INTRO OF BLACK STAR anycase i'm not dissatisfied about buying this VIDEO IT DESEVER TO WATCH !!! YNGWIE SUPER FREAKIN RULE IN THIS DVD!!

Summary: great for anyone that loves guitar
Review: i love the yngwie live dvd, i dont know where the person got the idea that it makes them jealous with that dvd. its inspirational! i sat down with my guitar and picked up licks here and there the lighting is great so is the song list i just wish it could be like 160 minutes instead of 80! its a great video i strongly suggest picking it up if you have a dvd player and some cash. a must for any guitar player.

Review: I must admit, I was a little hesitant to buy this dvd after reading some of the other reviews, but when i finally got my hands on it i was amazed. This dvd captures yngwie's talent as well as the talent among his band members. I am extremely satisfied with the song listing as well as the camera work. I have seen yngwie in concert before and i was blown away by his stage performance. This concert dvd is an excellent addition to any metal fans collection. Please don't listen to the previous reviews that said the dvd has "bad camera angles", "bad sound", etc.. because this is one of the best concert dvd's i have seen next to dream theater's metropolis 2000. Everything about this dvd is fantastic. Buy it today!
