Summary: QUEENSRYCHE-OPERATION LIVECRIME
Review: ONE OF THE BEST LIVE VIDEOS EVER! IF YOU LIKED THE STUDIO ALBUM YOU WILL REALLY APPRECIATE THE TALENT OF THIS BAND LIVE. TO SOUND THIS GOOD LIVE IS A TRUE TESTAMENT TO THIER ABILITY AS MUSICIANS. A GUARANTEED WINNER!

Summary: What is this garbage.
Review: Please tell me that the other 16 people that reviewed this actually saw it? What is with the over dramatic singer. Rolling on the ground. Everyone except the drummer over emphasize everything they do on stage. This is by far the worst DVD concert I have. If anyone else rolls on stage singing and acts like a [fool], please tell me before I by it. This DVD [is lousy]! By the way there are just as talented bands as this. They are a dime a dozen.

Summary: Excellent live concert DVD of the Ryche in their prime!
Review: Queensryche's second live concert video Operation: LIVE Crime was released in November of 1991.
I remember as a 15 year old in 1991 getting into the band after I bought Empire and loved it and then bought Mindcrime, same thing and repeat pattern with the first two efforts and the EP.
Then in November of 1991, I saw a thing for a live Queensryche album/VHS box set and I persuaded my father to buy me this for Christmas and he kindly obliged.
When I first opened the CD/VHS box set, I was in for a treat!
LIVECRIME, of course is OPERATION:MINDCRIME live in its entirety. My favorites on this first of three live Ryche efforts are the opening I Remember Now/Anarchy X/Revolution Calling(medley), the title cut, Speak(with Geoff Tate infamously yelling bastard with the megaphone before launching into the song), Spreading the Disease with an extended middle section, The Mission which featured Chris DeGarmo doing fantastic work on the double neck guitar ala Page on Stairway, the epic Suite Sister Mary buries the studio version by a longshot as does The Needle Lies and Breaking the Silence. I Don't Believe in Love is a great song and the lyrics are true for those who think love is overrated and Geoff Tate was funny when he asked the audience in Madison, Wisconsin if they believed in love and he said "Well I Dont". We wrap things up with Eyes of a Stranger which has a much better ending than the studio version with an Anarchy-X reprise and the band going wild on their instruments before ending with the explosion of REVOLUTION.
Then, the album and video was out of print for years and was not until the fall of 2001 that Capitol Records reissued LIVECRIME on CD and DVD with two bonus tracks, which were great versions of The Lady Wore Black and Roads to Madness(unfortunately no film for Madness although Lady Wore is on the Building Empires DVD) and there is also an interview with Geoff Tate and 5.1 and regular stereo options to watch the show.
I highly recommend this DVD and get the CD as well.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Summary: Great show
Review: The performance is outstanding for one of Queenryche's best CDs.

Summary: Absolutely superb
Review: This "Operation livecrime" was one of my first DVD's contact and is, no doubt, a BIG surprise, far beyond of what i was expecting! After more than 30 "listenings" of this same CD, putting the ears in DVD realise looks like you're listening the first one - you just have to close your eyes and enjoy... The band follows with pure fidelity all the tracks, playing them as the real h/Heavy lovers want their music: strong, cristal and adrenalized! We can see, for instance, a Geoff Tate on his best. No excess melodramatic nor reserved at all... Just in the right point, mixing quite well his voice between the two guitars, keeping, althoug, each one its personality and we can check it at every step. Chris de Garmo, Michael Wilton, as they show us before, complete themselves in sintony, ravishing the inside and the outside audience in an unforgettable way. They do rock indeed! Eddie and Scott, on bass and drums, respectively, close the other band sounds with the same quality. After seeing this DVD, whatever other bands's works i might get, this one, "Operation livecrime" will be my reference for other rock lovers's advices or even for me when i'm getting downn.
Strongly recommended!

Summary: A must have.
Review: This DVD is a must have for the fans of the band, as well as fans of real hard rock/heavy metal, and rock music in general. Fans of Limp Bizkit and similar stuff should be warned that this concert may disappoint them, as this band has a singer, who can actually sing, and the band members, who can play their instruments. As it's already been noted by other reviewers, there's no excuse for Queensryche fans for not having it already. This video shows the band in it's prime, and the performance is outstanding. Get it now.

Summary: Operation Livecrime
Review: This DVD is an absolute must for all Queensryche fans. I went to this show is Kansas City back in 1991 a couple of days after this show was recorded up in LaCross, Wisconsin. I was completely amazed at Geoff Tate and the Bands Theatrics. I have been a die hard Ryche fan since 1985 when I saw them open for Kiss. The DVD is amazing and the sound quality is awsome. The album (Operation Mindcrime) is by far my favorite, and the concert is beyond words.

Buy it........

Summary: No Regrets
Review: This DVD is excellent, but if I could only have it, or the VHS version, the VHS would win. I find that they VHS sound is superior to the sound of the DVD (using Dolby Digital 5.1) and that is a big disappointment to me. It is also a different performance altogether, and regardless of the sound quality, I also prefer the VHS performance. I don't regret getting the DVD and like it very much; just not as much as the VHS release...

Summary: Outstanding and Brilliant piece of work from Queensryche
Review: This is a brilliant piece of work from one of the most alternative and outstanding hard rock bands - Queensryche. The album "Operation Mindcrime" (which was released in 1988), was a classic concept album and phenomenal not merely for the band itself but also in rock history. "Video Mindcrime" (which was released in 1989) was an excellent piece of storytelling putting the songs and music into visual image. "Operation Livecrime" was a further step ahead to put the story into live performance.
I bought the box set way back in 1991 which made up of a Vhs cassette, a booklet about the story behind the album and a CD. The moment I saw the DVD on display inside a shop last week, I just did not hesitate to buy it. And now, here we are, "Operation Livecrime" in DVD eventually.
The performance itself was immaculate. Every single member of the band did their respective part perfectly. They played every single song in the album. The partnership of Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton in guitar playing was second to none and irreplaceable but also one which supposedly every fan of the band would sadly miss. By no means I am playing down the role of Kelly Gray (who replaced Chris), himself being an outstanding guitarist on his own merits, however there is unfortunately something missing in the standard of performance (particularly live performance) of the band following the departure of Chris who had made such a huge contribution to the development of the band. There is no question about that.
There is however one aspect which I sadly noticed from the song "Suite Sister Mary". It seems that the vocal portion of Pamela Moore was recorded beforehand, that is she did not seem to have sung her lines live. I hope I am wrong.
In all, this DVD is definitely a must for every die hard Queensryche fan and serious fan of rock music. Just go ahead and buy it. Believe me, it is worth every single cent.
