Summary: This Release is in PAL
Review: A Warning to all customers in USA and Canada as well as South America: This Release(14 Dec 1999) is definetely in PAL (the European TV Standard) and most of you won't have the right TV/DVD-Player combination to play it back. It can be watched on a computer though. The NTSC-Version will be released soon. This information is guaranteed - I happen to be the person who created both PAL and NTSC discs. For that reason I'd prefer not to rate the discs, but it looks like I have to in order to get this review posted.

Summary: Rammstein Noting Deeper Than Great Music
Review: This video was excellently done and is amazing. Rammstein dispite Sam Sutherlands accustaions are not involved or advicate the Third Reich. They are just out to make good music and they do with this video. Also, "Heirate Mich" does not mean "Worship me" it means "Marry Me." Please ignore the poorley written review by Sam Sutherland and buy this video.

Summary: Buy it...
Review: This has to be the coolest DVD ever to be released. If you like Rammstein buy it, and you'll like them even more. If you don't like Rammstein, you will once you see them perform. It is simply amazing. The interview was also a very cool part of this DVD. They tell you what their music is really about and their biography. It's the best DVD purchase I've ever made before in my life. BUY IT!

Summary: Rammstein DVD v VHS
Review: Loved the VHS version , but the DVD is a factor 5+ in visual & sound enjoyment.

The difference in sound quality alone is worth the investment. Have been listening to music for 35+ years and marvel at the DVD concept.Only wish they made the 5.1 format the standard selection choice and shipped all music DVDs this way.

Note, the DVD is censored, Bueck Dich has been left out. Our six year old when he saw it, on the VHS version, laughed. So what's the issue. Metallica in 'Cunning Stunts' got away with worse. As a comment, we thought the visual production of 'Cunning Stunts' was better. Maybe it was the indoor v outdoor location and available camera angles.

The advantages of the Rammstein DVD are many, including the sub titles, different film angles and interviews. If you want your others to enjoy the experience, ask them to translate the German subtitles. We got Grandma to do it. (She's cool, served as a German Red Cross nurse on the Russian Front. True story)

Overall as a 40+ music fan , loved the power and excitment Rammstein generate. Haven't had as much fun since Led Zep , Cream etc.

Boys, love your work. Cheers

Summary: Rammstein DVD has a problem!
Review: I finally got my DVD from Amazon. I put it in my DVD Player (Pioneer) and all I get is a running picture ! This sucks ! My DVD player is only 2 months old, so it must be 'compatible' ? I want to make you all aware of this potential 'problem'. Not sure if anyone else has run across this problem. The DVD plays fine on my laptop, however (DVD on PC). Darrel

Summary: Rammstein - Live Aus Berlin
Review: High quality video and music combined with stunts both attracting, and interesting. The professional video effects make it the next best thing to not being at the concert, as well as the details you miss from not being in front of the stage.

Summary: Next Best Thing To Being There
Review: Before I begin my review, let me start by saying that Amazon.Com incorrectly translated the title of 2 of Rammstein's songs in their editorial review. "Du Hast" means "you have" not "you hate" which would be written "Du Haßt". Secondly their song "Heirate Mich" means "Marry Me" not "worship me"..I wanted to point these things out so those not familiar with this awesome group don't think they're some sort of Neo-Nazi hate group because they are not..Anyhow..off to the review:

While Rammstein's music is awesome in its own rights, it's their stage show that really sets them apart.Of all the concerts I have ever attended ,these guys put on the most dramatic and visually stimulating performances I have ever seen filled with plenty of pyrotechnics, smoke, flashing lights, flame throwers and the like...I wish I could see them in concert all the time! And in a sense I can! This video is so superbly put together that its almost like being there and some ways even better! There is only one potentially offensive act the group performs (which is not on the DVD or censored version of the VHS anyhow) and this is when Till Lindemann(the lead singer) opens the zipper of his pants and a fake rubber 'bodily organ' is exposed that emmits a shower of fluid while standing behind a kneeling keyboardist with his buttocks exposed ..The band has commented on this act before and they insist it's just a joke that many people take the wrong way and its not to promote any particular agenda at all...The band are just you everyday nice people and what goes on on stage is just a show...and what a show it is! If you have any questions on the group or song translations feel free to email me at : VanDammme@hotmail.com

Summary: Even if you have the VHS version.....
Review: ....you should definitely consider purchasing this concert on DVD! This version contains some additional treats NOT included on the VHS version. However, in all fairness, there is one song missing from the DVD - "Bück Dich" has been omitted. This song is included on the uncensored version of the VHS (USA release and Euro PAL format). The following is a summary of some of the special inclusions on the DVD version:

Multi camera shots of the individual members of Rammstein for the songs "Tier", "Du Hast" and "Rammstein". An interview is included (translated sub-titles) with clips from all Rammstein videos. A contest to challenge your Rammstein knowledge (consisting of 140 questions) is playable from your CD-ROM using Windows. As a bonus track, the entire video for "Stripped" is included.

Convinced? I hope so. Because if you have never experienced Rammstein Live - this is the next best thing to actually being there!

Summary: The best live video ever
Review: If there ever was a band that you must see live it would be Rammstein. This video captures one of their shows perfectly. If you've never seen them live then this is the closest thing. Oh yeah and you should watch it in the dark if you want to get the full effect.
