Summary: The trouble is Brian Johnson's voice.....
Review: Johnson has absolutely nothing to prove... He's part of AC/DC, he contributed decisively to the band's fortunes, he's good humored, a real fine singer, a great guy.
But the trouble is that all those years delivering that thunderous, unique and marvellous lead vocals made Brian pay the price...
Nowadays, his singing is just annoying. AC/DC can get away with that because their live act is so good, so energetic, that Brian's part becomes just a by-side attraction, since most of the audience in an AC/DC concert know the songs by memory.
But to watch the concert in the comfort of your house, it is getting harder and harder to listen to Brian...No amount of digital effects can disguise this fact...
As for the band, it's competent and energetic as always.

Review: Well, For all hard rock fans...the music is great,Picture and sound are fabulous...but Brian's voice is not half as good as it was before...just listen to 'Back in Black' from the Donington Live and then listen to this one,you'll know What I mean.
Overall this is a good concert.Just don't get too critical about it...

Summary: Alive & Kicking
Review: After 18 albums, some videoclips and almost thirty years of career here comes the new DVD of the most greatest hard rock band of the world (still at work!). After two videotapes "Live At Donnington" -'91 - and "No Bulls -'96 - (now available on DVD both), this is the first live DVD you can taste by a digital stand. From the initial "Stiff Upper Lip" (the title-track from the anonymous 2000's cd), "Thunderstruck" and "Hard As A Rock" (the burning seals of 90's) going through "Shoot To Thrill", "What Do You Do For Money, Honey" and "Shook Me All Night Long" (that's what i call the real "Back In Black" package!!), you can't dodge the headbanging Angus&co. want from you. This concert took place on June 2001, when the band was in fine fettle, giving his own best (always in the last 25 years, do you?) on stage, with an excellent choreography (first of all the giant Angus statue always in close-up), without going too far the self-glorification. If you prefer more the Bon Scott's age, you'll relive that time, paying attention to the songs that made AC/DC history ("Dirty Deeds....", "The Jack", "Up To My Neck In You" and "Highway To Hell" - no comment, please -). To end happily, if you prefer being in your own seventh heaven by the sonorous compactness by the whole video, break out and jump with the performances of "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Let There Be Rock" and "For Those About To Rock", where between the Angus rides and the real spectacular final cannon-shots, you'll sure be knocked down. ..........and if you're still stand up, there's some backstage and interview with the band.

Summary: Good concert; bad features
Review: AC/DC's "Stiff Upper Lip" concert was the first concert experience in my young life, and I will definitely say that it didn't disappoint. Brian Johnson's voice and Angus Young's "buck and grind" guitars were in top form, as was the rest of the band.
This DVD souvenir is a pretty decent showing in and of itself. The concert itself covers almost all of the songs that I heard that fateful night in Minneapolis. The only song that I notice is conspicuously absent is "Jailbreak," one of my personal favorites that was played that evening.
The concert itself is top notch. The only thing that docks the grade from 5 stars to 4 is the DVD extras. The featurette is good, but short and not too in-depth. It's mostly just a promotional appearance for the concert.
This DVD is still highly recommended.

Summary: The definition of HardRock
Review: Like the other reviewer I have been AC/DC fan since the stone age and I have seen and heard lots and lots of bands since then.
Although Angus' solo's are not anymore what they used to be, no other band in the world radiates the kind of energy AC/DC does. And this video makes you feel that. Turn down the lights, turn up the volume and let them take you away to the essence of rock 'n' roll.
In my opinion this video and the old life album "If you want blood..." are the very best AC/DC life performances (officially) released ever.

Review: I enjoyed this Dvd. I had just wished they did a better setlist. Songs like..."Shook Me" and "For those about to rock" come to mind. The Donnigton setlist is killer. As for Brian's voice it is not bad. A little raspy but it has always been that way. Yes they are dinosaurs, but they can still rock. gotta also be one of the most humble bands around. They know without all their dedicated fans they'd probably be doing nothing. So all in all, a good DVD.

Review: The camera work for the concert is astounding, the sound quality is nothing but superb, and the energy is outstanding! When you watch the DVD it's like your really there! This is the closest you'll get without being there. There could be more features (like the Stiff Upper Lip music video or something) but the interview is very interesting. Pick this up right a ways!

Summary: Makes me want to see them again
Review: Having been an AC/DC fan for years and seeing them live quite a few times, I decided to check in and see what the boys from Down Under are up to these days. I must admit I was expecting to get a concert video of some "over-the-hill" band that should have wrapped it up back in the early 90's. Well, I was quite shocked as the opening notes of "Stiff Upper Lip" ripped out of my stereo. The energy, sound, and "feel" made me realize that this DVD may warrant more than just a casual listening. From the well-rounded song selection to the superb sound quality alone this DVD is worth the price of admission. However the biggest thing that I got from this concert video, which I haven't gotten from any others, is that after watching it I found myself actually wanting to go see them live again. Instead of just tossing the DVD aside like so many others, I was kicking myself for not catching these guys when they came around on this tour. Sure they're getting older. The voice may be more gravelly than normal, Angus misses a note or two (since when hasn't he?), and you may detect a gray hair here or there. But if you want some good old (...)-kickin', beer-drinkin', fist-pumpin' rock, the boys sure have a DVD for you.

Review: Can't they just keep the camera one moment on ANGUS, you see EVERYTHING exept the band playing they do the same thing at the "NO BULL" DVD they should change the CAMERA DIRECTOR. After 5 minutes you become confused.
The DONNINGTON CONCERT is so wonderfull but it doesn't exist on DVD! WHY???????

Summary: VERY good production
Review: The production effort on this video is excellent and the sound is worthy of being on it's own CD. The interviews really make you feel like you're there tagging along with the band, and it lets you know just how down to earth and 'real' the boys in the band are ... no prima donnas here!
