Summary: Rock and Roll is Noise Pollution...
Review: ...unless it's AC/DC. Some rock bands today put no thought into their music, and just scream out the lyrics. AC/DC has never done that, and probably never will.

Stiff Upper Lip is a great DVD. The picture is good and has very good sound quality. Some people were disapointed about Brian Johnson's voice, but it sounds the same as it ever did! Sure he may not be able to hold notes as long as he used to, but he still has the same voice.

This DVD also has a good setlist with some of their new hits as well as their classics. Hard as a Rock sounded better then ever (you couldn't hear anything in NO BULL!), and You Shook Me All Night Long sounded better than it does on the live album.

I would suggest this DVD to any AC/DC fan, or any classic rock fan. Your DVD collection won't be complete without Stiff Upper Lip Live!

Summary: Perfect concert/Terrible video production
Review: I don't think AC/DC are capable of putting on a bad concert. I first saw these guys live 25 years ago (yikes). At that time I'd only heard of them. What I saw that night blew me away, and I've followed them ever since.

Too bad this video sucks. The problem isn't the band, it's the video director or producer (not sure who exactly to blame). They insisted on cycling through 20 different camera angles multiple times per minute. I felt like a rubber ball ricocheting all over the stage, the audience, the sound equipment, the scafolding, etc. The average duration of any one scene is about 3 seconds! Trying to watch this was like experiencing vertigo. I finally just turned off the TV and listened to the concert (which was, as always, great).

AC/DC is a dynamic band with an incredible performance here. They don't need bouncing camera angles to increase the intensity of their performance. In my opinion that ruined what could otherwise have been the ultimate video concert.

Summary: Better then No Bull and LIve at Donington( in some ways)
Review: Wow!! this was the dvd that got me completly hooked on the thunder from down under.. I was a big fan before but this dvd completly hooked me. The music is great The fans are amazing. During thunderstruck the fans are almost louder then the music( Malcom and Cliffs chants of thunder!! are drowned out my the fans singing) I always get goosebumps watchin that song Just the energy of that song can get anyone pumped up. The rest of the Songs are amazing!! Angus and his guitar are still Rocking.. Brians voice is gone but he can still sing more recent songs well. But other then that Buy this dvd!!! You wont be dissapointed!

Review: What a concert, What a video. I only wish i could have been there. It must be the best rock video on the market. The boys are still at their peak. I strongly recommend this one.

Summary: AC/DC still can rock!
Review: This DVD brings the energy of an AC/DC concert to your living room! The concert itself takes place somewhere in Germany, at a very big, packed to the brim, outdoor stadium. The stage setup is a huge, elaborate setup complete with a runway that goes out to the middle of the crowd. The concert itself begins in the evening while it is still light out, and goes on into the darkness. It is true that Brian Johnson's voice doesn't match the power that are on the studio recordings, but the concert is live, and this isn't unusual for many recording artists live performances. Also, Angus' guitar playing, at some points, isn't as sharp as what you would hear on an album. But I wouldn't have it any other way. It all adds to the "rawness" of the concert. You know there are no editing tricks here in an attempt to clean up the performance. The music is just straight-out and raw, no sickeningly over-produced sounds here.
Speaking of the sounds, Angus and Malcolm have always played their guitars clean through their Marshalls, with no effects pedals or racks. This DVD provides superbly the sounds that those guitars are bombarding the audience mercilessly with. The drums sound great, with crystal-clear cymbals and a bass drum that you can feel in your chest with the right sound setup and enough volume. The only complaint here is that the bass guitar is barely audible, despite the assumption that live, it was probably louder than hades. Also, somewhere on the stage there must've been a sweet spot, because you can sometimes hear Angus'guitar scratchingly feedback through Brian Johnson's mic. When I first noticed this happening (which isn't very noticeable at all), I was pleasantly surprised, because if thats what was happening live, I certainly don't want it edited out. I want authenticity of the real thing, and, despite the bass guitar, this DVD certainly delivers.
What I didn't like, however, is the fact that every single scene changes every second. Literally. You barely get a chance to take in what your looking at, and the scene changes to a different shot. You know how people are taught to count "one one-thousand, two one-thousand, etc". Well, every scene throughout the DVD changes before I could finish a "one one-thousand" count. Every scene. Non-stop. Every song. Many shots are very short, as short as a couple eye winks. Most people don't even notice this, or mind it, but I would've liked to see many of the shots to last longer. Example: forget seeing any of the cannons actually going off during For Those About To Rock, because the camera shots change too fast.
Despite the low presence of the bass guitar and nonstop changing of the camera shots, this DVD is the most-watched of all my DVDs. Why? Because these boys put on one hell of a concert.

Summary: Angus and Malcolm are at their best!
Review: Great live concert, featuring loads of smashes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. But two things make this DVD dodge perfection. I don't believe that they played enough of their songs. These include Gone Shootin', Sin City, Moneytalks, Sink the Pink, Flick of the Switch, Heatseeker, Night Prowler, Jailbreak, D.T. (even though it may be an instrumental), Who Made Who,
etc.. Also, Brian Johnson has basically lost the fire in his voice on many songs, predominantly "You Shook Me All Night Long," on which he used to posess a reigning power that only he could unleash. But on the brighter side some compositions were done brilliantly, if you've ever seen the DVD. Rock on, Angus!

Summary: great
Review: THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST CONCERT DVD I HAVE EVER SEEN.THE REASON FOR THIS IS THE ENERGY THAT THE BAND IS ABLE TO PUT ACROSS IN THIS DVD.IT IS A VERY TIGHT PROFORMANCE.I HAVE ALWAYS LIKE AC/DC,BUT MUST ADMIT TO BEING MORE OF A BON SCOTT FAN THAN BRIAN JOHNSON,BUT THIS DVD ROCKS.IF YOUR INTO GREAT HARD DRIVING ROCK N ROLL,YOU`LL LOVE THIS.

Summary: Amazing energy! These guys are possessed by the music!
Review: I can't believe AC/DC can play this hard & fast & energetic! Angus & Brian move more than these new "rock" bands. Phil,Malcolm, & Cliff pound and are in constant-motion.I recommend this to kids(to see a real ROCK 'N' ROLL BAND as the REAL-ONES are becoming extinct!) and older fans to let them know the lads are alive a kickin' hard. Some surprise songs:"Problem Child";"Honey What Do You Do For Money" & "Up To My Neck In You" from the underrated "POWERAGE" album. This is a lesson that Rock N Roll will never die a long as these "down-to-earth" lads are around!

Summary: Live At Munich
Review: Recorded at Munich, this DVD has amazing video, great set list, great performance by the band, but lousy edition. It's so fast, you just can't marvel at anyone's performance long enough! Absolutely frustrating!

The vibe of the show is fantastic, you'll feel like you're up stage with the band. I don't like Johnson's voice, it's apparently ruined beyond reparation, but he's an important part of the band.

Summary: Dirty Deeds Indeed!
Review: Flat out balls to the wall from start to finish. Then...what else would you expect from Angus, Malcolm and the boys?
Great video, excellent sound and an extremely spirited performance. Brian Johnson misses some of the high notes here and there...but hey!...he's friggin' screaming his heart out for nearly 2 hours.
Angus is Angus..one of the best. He plays several extended guitar solos which improvise on the "recorded" versions which is a real treat.
And Malcolm? His vocal lines on "Dirty Deeds Done Cheap" are worth the price of this disc alone.
A great concert dvd for any level of AC/DC fan.
