Summary: Innovative. Outstanding Performance!
Review: I had hoped that the live performance of Bond would be released on video and DVD. Now, it is here. Superb performance. A must see for any Bond fan!

Summary: Ok DVD for mostly unknown group
Review: I had never heard of "Bond" until I saw the concert being played on a HD plasma TV in an electronics store. The sound was great (of course, they were using one of the high end audio systems). The picture was excellent. Based on this, I decided to purchase the DVD and watch it at home on my Samsung DLB HDTV. The picture was excellent, just like in the store. But when the young ladies talked to the audience, I could barely hear them and had to turn the sound up. Of course, when they started playing, I had to turn the sound down.

I was surprised that the concert was so short. I might have given it a higher rating if they had a larger musically selection to play and the audio when they talked was better.

Looking at four lovely ladies helped the rating, but I won't recommend the DVD to others.

Summary: Good for Violin Lover Starters
Review: I heard about BOND with my nephew and I fall in love with these group! They bond to my heart and my fascination of violin music. This is a new concept in violin performance. I recommend this DVD, because you can enjoy music and see the passion of the performance of these girls. I buy a new violin. My children see it and play with them the violin, dance and sing. I am going to buy other BOND presentation. It is a good choice.

Summary: not great but it's entertaining.
Review: I love Bond's album and wanted to see their performance. However, after I saw this DVD, I am disappointed and it is not as I was expected. Most of the tracks that they perform that night sound too similar with the album..thus, probably the some of the tracks were not live. Moreover, they use that Silent Violin/Viola/Cello which you can turn off the sound.
Of course "Belladonna" and "Korobushka" are totally live because they play them in accoustic. I know that they are very talented musicians and surely can play the tracks live in front of many people. As perfect as they are, I just cannot believe that they play most of the songs in concert like they play in the album. I just hope that I am wrong and that they are that talented to play them very nicely. That is why I like their performance in "Korobushka" and "Belladonna" because they play them accoustically. Very beautiful and they really amaze me with their playing. So talented. Despite my disappointment with this DVD, I still like Bond and think that the DVD is fun! It has their two videos and other things.

Summary: Best Classical-Pop Mix I've ever seen!
Review: I thought they were outstanding in their musical ability and (naturally) their on-stage presence. Not the greatest concert or entertainment dvd, but it's early for them, so they should get better. But it was a lot of fun to watch and get into the music, and what else do you want?

Summary: Classic Classical
Review: I took a chance in buying this DVD. Good that I did because it is awesome! This DVD shows Bond's debut performance at The Royal Albert Hall in London. It has many tracks from the great start or QUIXOTE to DALLAS to VICTORY at the end. My definate favourite performance is KOROBUSHKO which has an acoustic set and KISMET which is haunting. The DVD has a fair bit of extras including the WINTERSUN video and another performance of VIVA! at a different concert. The sound is absolutely spectacular and so is the visuals. There are only a few let down such as the everchanging camera angles in BELLA DONNA (I almost got dizzy!) and having to take a quiz everytime to see the VICTORY video and the interview of Bond in Cuba. The quiz is good but never changes and 10 questions gets boring after the 2nd time. The weblink for the website and ringtone is excellent. The gallery really is not good but it is just a slight worry. The great venue lightens the performance up, this afterall is one of my favourite concert DVDs. Highly Recommended.

Summary: Excellent DVD for New and Old Fans Alike
Review: I watched this DVD after I was already addicted to Bond's music so I knew the songs and how they would sound. Bond is a fantastic group, way surpassing the like of Vanessa Mae, but there were a few problems with the DVD.

1. The concert was good, but for the Albert Hall the acoustics were terrible, at some points it is very hard to hear the girls at all.

2. It is obvious that the cameramen were not string players. As a violinist I love watching Hayley and in her supreme performance of Korobushka the camera is directed almost solely on her face and the movement of the bow. Now Hayley is a pretty girl, but I wanted to see her hands move!! It was frustrating to know that her fingers were moving a hundred times to the second and I couldn't see a thing!!!

3. Someone mentioned in an earlier review about the weird looks on Hayley's face - well to answer that. You try playing those pieces at that speed and try not pulling a face!!! *LOL*

As a whole, I LOVE this DVD. As a first go, its excellent and I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it. I had to import it to Australia and believe me it was well worth the cost.

As a note to fans new to Bond, if you haven't listened to their CDs especially Born, I would recommend doing so before watching the DVD to get the most out of it.

Happy listening!
