Summary: Superb DVD Format over VHS Version
Review: I had seen Sarah Brightman here in Rochester,New York last Sept.and I must say it was a concert never to be forgotten.Excellent show overall. I cannot say the same for the VHS version of this show. I was very disappointed with it's content, or should I say lack of. Poor editing, missing songs....forget it! Now the DVD version is something else altogether. The first and most important aspect (to me) of the DVD was the audio selection. Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS audio are present in this version. The digital sound is incredible. Of course a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder is required to get this sound quality, but you should have this anyway if you have a DVD player,if not you'll have to listen to this with the 2.0 stereo sound. The DVD version also has the complete concert, all the songs are intact and of course the picture quality is crystal clear. Special features are included on the DVD such as an interview with Sarah, backstage tour, rehearsals and much more. I had to wait three months for the release of this DVD, however it was well worth it. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Sarah ! The Magician ..The Enchanter.....The Necromancer...
Review: ...The Artist! I am waiting .....today is the release date for the DVD!!!...On the way home from work I will drive like a maniac to the nearest.. and buy this DVD....!! I know this video will be COMPLETELY AWESOME! Tomorrow I'll be back to review it here!

THIS PART OF THE MESSAGE IS FOR AMAZON: All the reviews listed here prior to this date for La Luna were for the Video release NOT the DVD. These should NOT be listed under the DVD it gives people the wrong impression of what they are buying! A MAJOR unfairness to the Artist!!! Bad Sales Technique people!!! I did try to contact you via a email message but the only way I saw to do this on your site was via a "Canned" message with limited choices for topics! So I am writing this here. It would be GREAT if the only reviews listed on this page were for the DVD itself~~~ and then keep the video reviews under the video...as the DVD and the Video and the DVD are two different products! Though ANYTHING by Ms. Brightman Must Be and IS Beautiful!

Summary: Out of this world!
Review: I have been lucky enough to see Sarah in concert six times, the last of which was last weekend at Royal Albert Hall in London. I can honestly say she just keeps getting better and better! I thought that I had seen it all when I saw the Eden concert, but LA LUNA is out of this world. The VHS was a big disappointment and is NOT recommended. It is less than an hour and is a poorly edited and very incomplete version of the concert. The DVD is the whole LA LUNA concert. I can't wait. Her version of "Question of Honor" live is unbelievable! Fans! Look out for her new disco remixes....

Summary: Disappointed
Review: Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Sarah Brightman. However, I was sadly disappointed in the "La Luna" video.... the editing was extremely rough, like it was just thrown together, and the sound quality of the particular video that I received is all DISTORTED.....very poor sound quality....it sounds like my speakers are cracked! I think the "Eden" video wins hands down. Sarah's costumes and stage settings in "La Luna" are wonderful, magical, dreamlike, too bad it doesn't have the flow and well-put together qualities of "Eden". I'm going to send this video back and ask for another one, hopefully the sound quality will be better on another video?...

Summary: La Luna
Review: This video is a great disappointment. The sound is very poor. The orchestra often drowns out most of the singing. The duet, I think it is "Will you be there for me?" was ruined by poor sound. The editing was awful, with sharp cuts from one song to another. One Night In Eden was incredibly good, and I have watched it over and over again. I will probably never watch La Luna again. I wish it could be re-released with the sound and editing fixed. I would not recommend wasting money on La Luna.

Summary: Not as good as Eden video
Review: I have seen her video of Eden which is GREAT! I felt as though I was really there. In La Luna, it seemed very choppy (they cut out portions of the concert and rushed from one song to the next) and the camera angles were often frustrating as they were always moving around. I hardly saw the dancers at all. Sarah sounds great on the video and any fan will enjoy listening to the music and seeing her up close. She's very animated when singing her music. This concert is like Eden in that she spends most of her time standing and singing with little movement except for Question of Honor and Deliver Me. In those she utilizes the flying overhead thing. It's cool! She's so awesome! But, I don't want to complain too much because I'm so glad to have the video as I have never seen her in concert!

Summary: Fantastic
Review: As entertaining as Cher's last concert and as fascinating as Cirque Du Soleil. An absolutly absorbing performance by Sarah Brightman. Her rendition of "Whiter Shade Of Pale" is breathtaking. She is one of the best performers to grace any stage anywhere.

Summary: Brightman Butchered
Review: I would really like to give this video five stars. I really would. But, eventhough I haven't seen the "La Luna" concert live, I can tell it was butchered in this video. "One Night in Eden" was beautifully done, and eventhough, I actually prefer the songs on this tape, I found the prior title much more enjoyable. You can tell nothing here is in sequence... it's all been sort of pasted together.

Now, the settings are fantastic. Sarah Brightman is in excellent voice. The costumes are wonderful and have a mythic quality about them... think "A Midsummer Night's Dream" or Ophelia from "Hamlet". It's all gorgeous but poorly edited to VHS.

I'm still going to watch this one over and over again though just as I did with "Eden"...

Summary: Simply stunning
Review: To all Sarah Brightman fans and reviewers, hello. There's so much one can say about this concert. For one, the programme appears to be as full as the actual show. Frank Peterson, Miss Brightman's producer/manager has done a wonderful job bringing the show to a success. From the opening haunting notes of "La Lune" to the closing notes of "Moon river", the show is and was as stunning as a Moon-Goddess could make it. With stunning special effects and daring costumes, the moods change throughout the entire dramatic show. Sarah's backflips and the confetti/sparks shower in "A question of honor" were the best effects. Some of the costumes revealed a playfully daring Sarah.

The best examples you'll find are her "Human beeded lampshade" look or her Xena warrior Princess with tearaway leather dress and hip-boots. Some costumes were dreamy, like her "Sea-foam bride" white gown in "A whiter shade of pale". For "Nessun dorma", sarah donned miles of flowing fabric, while atop her head sat a halo of stars which lit up. In "hijo de la luna", she rocked her arms side to side as if she were rocking a baby. She even came out in a chrome corset and a totally see-through floor length gown.

The La Luna concert's programme is powerful, yet as light as a feather. Sarah's voice was at its best, as it soared above the audience angelicly. The aria "Nessun Dorma" was a hit with many, as Sarah seemed entranced while singing it. The same went with the title song, "La Luna" and "A question of honor".

The La Luna orchestra obviously shrunk, compared to the Eden show. In la Luna they were only to the left side of the stage. But they were at their best throughout the entire presentation.

Unfortunately, the VHS is shorter than the DVD. I don't know why. Maybe the editor had a limit set on the production. The VHS says total running time 59min. I don't know how long the DVD will be, but the DVD comes with all this Xtra stuff. Look for a video clip of "A whiter shade of pale" and some backstage footage and an interview with Sarah. I think there are 15 songs on the VHS and 21 songs on the DVD. Let Sarah and the moon take you away for 1.5 hrs in their own world.

Summary: La Luna video - excellent, but could be better
Review: I recently saw Sarah live, and went right out the next day to buy the video. Overall I highly recommend this tape, but because of space limitations here I'll only list my criticisms, and they are minor ones. First, the video is too short. Many songs from the concert are left out. (I believe the DVD version has the complete show; the VHS is barely an hour long.) Second, I don't like the sound. To me - and I don't know the real story - it sounds like they didn't use the actual concert audio, instead using the album versions. (Imagine Sarah singing along to a pre-recorded track and you get the idea.) Seeing her live, it was DEFINITELY Sarah singing. Why not use it here, as well? Third, the editing moves from one song to another rather quickly. There wasn't a lot of between-song talking anyway, but instead of pausing, the video goes from one song right into the next. One instance of Sarah speaking (before Time To Say Goodbye) is completely missing. If you get a chance to see Sarah live, you will NOT be disappointed. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. As for the video, the ONLY thing preventing a 5-star rating is the question of whether or not the real concert audio was used.
