Summary: Nobody does it better!
Review: I bought this video long time ago, when it appeared, I was so excited... and when I saw I was shaking all the time, listening to those unreleased songs, they're just so beautiful. Of course I enjoyed it more than the critics 'cos I'm a big fan of Radiohead, well, I don't have much to say, but that I love Radiohead (specially Thom Yorke,it sounds childish, but who cares?). And and the title says NOBODY DOES IT BETTER. One last comment, I see it all the time, I have seen it more than 40 times....hahaha

Summary: better then OK documentary about best UK band
Review: When I first heard about the video, I wasn't in a big rush to buy it. Dont get me wrong, I am a huge Radiohead fan; but the whole hand held camera thing just didn't sound too appealing to me. And; well, documentaries just dont catch my attention. That is, until now.

Grant Lee does a magnificant job with this film as he follows the band around on their tour for their critically acclaimed third album OK Computer. There isn't much live footage, which is kind of dissapointing. But we get to see that being rock stars isn't all its cracked up to be. And the video reveals the meaning behind OK Computer. Which is.....well u will just have to see in this documentary which could be one of the best of all time.

Summary: Grammy Nominated
Review: Grant Gee does a superb job of cutting through the typical Rockumentary cliche, and showing us just how tedious it must be to be on tour, while being the critics' darlings. What emerges is a picture of a band truly in love with performing great music. Fans of the band will be captivated by live performances of unreleased tracks -- some of which will almost certainly appear on the fourth LP ("Follow Me Around," "Big Ideas," and a failed attempt to recording one the best Radiohead songs I've ever heard, "Big Boots/Man-o-War." Those less familiar with the band still get great filmmaking (though one or two of the montages were a little hokey), great music, and a peek inside one of the most intelligent and talented bands to emerge in twenty years.

Summary: MPIE
Review: "Meeting People Is Easy" provides an insightful look into what it is like to be Radiohead. It does not show what it is like for other groups, considering that I have seen other famous groups say that being famous is totally different than what is portrayed on this video.

It is done mostly in black and white, and is mostly comprised of clips of interviews, and live performances. There are about four unreleased songs on this video that you can hear, but sometimes they are dubbed over with the band talking.

It also shows very good footage of the band, and gives you a great idea what it must be like for them to be touring. You also see what the band (mostly Thom) feels about issues; and not just music. Politics and personal views. As I said before, there are many interviews.

It is a good video for the Radiohead fan; I know I loved it. -Well- worth the money. It provides insight, knowledge, and the songs of Radiohead.

Summary: radiohead review
Review: for rock stars, they sure are moody and insecure, but likeable as hell, this video has a soothing hypnotic pace to it, with lots of creative filmwork. more live footage would have been cool, but still this is a great documentary of a great band.

Summary: Truly one of the best music documentaries of all time
Review: After viewing Meeting People is Easy several times, I would have to say that the video is magnificent. This is not your typical tour video. I feel that the problem most people(but not I) had with the video, was that most times, only snippets of songs are played. If anything, Meeting People is Easy manages to capture the chaos that success brings.Grant Gee does a great job of capturing what life is truly like on the road and how Radiohead is affected by life on the road.

Summary: as good as it gets - THE HEART OF RADIOHEAD
Review: This is one of those movies that is excellent just to keep around for those days when your bored. The editing is extremely interesting, the band and all the people they meet are interesting, and just to taste what their concerts are like is a truly special treat. I tell you, they look like GODS when they're up on stage.

Even though the mood of this video is very sad and depressing - soon, it's dark humor WILL win you over.

I recommend this movie to every single person who is touched by their music.

Summary: Great Radiohead Video Document, But I'd Rather Just Listen
Review: This was a VERY well done document of Radiohead on tour (also some takes at videomaking). It's interesting and at times very entertaining (good live performance and backstage work). But I'd have to say that overall I enjoy the music on its own and hope that Radiohead continues to focus on that. I'd like to see a DVD of their complete videos.

Summary: So you wanna be a rock star . . .
Review: This brilliantly edited film has one objective: to slap you in the face and scream into your ear dying whispers of how pleasurable being a rock star actually is. Shot on tour mostly in 1997 by Grant Gee, it captures the nitty gritty details of backstage boredom, onstage exhiliration, and the highs and lows of endless press junkets, award ceremonies, and song composing. Be forewarned, though: the lows and boredom definitely outweigh everything else. Thom Yorke comes across as the most introverted and sullen soul who ever walked the earth. His brief smiles--mostly sardonic--are the high points of the film, but they occur too infrequently to leave the viewer with anything other than a nagging sympathy for this poor man. Depression and the stark harshness of reality seem to be the recurrent themes here.

But don't let that put you off entirely. This film does have a certain redemption. It shows you exactly what happens when you put a group of extremely intelligent, creative, and profound souls into the ignorant, monotonous, shallow world of stardom. (This should prove especially poignant for Americans, who are used to living in a society whose sole purpose is to worship celebrity.) The Radiohead boys take it all in stride, though, and they manage to do so without any sign of superiority or arrogance. One factor that radiates clearly from every scene is the amazing integrity of these men. Honesty, depth, and introspective objectivity arise to combat the sad delusions that seem to surround these guys everywhere they go.

Memorable moments include Thom's semi-pretentious boredom as he watches a concert crowd sing "Creep" for him, before he finally gives in, mocks the song a bit in a whining voice, then resigns to the power of his own creation and croons "I don't belong here" with all his heart. Also memorable is an intriguing edit that makes a series of photographic clicks and altered poses look like Thom is getting riddled with machine gun fire. I don't recall any complete songs, except for, not-so-coincidentally, "Exit Music (for a film)" as the credits roll, but everything from _OK Computer_ seems to be in there, in some form or another, as well as a number of old songs (and unreleased new ones).

If you're a Radiohead fan, watch it to gain a deeper appreciation for the integrity and brilliance of this band. If you're an aspiring rock star, watch it for the clearest warning you're ever going to get. And everyone else, well, go watch _Spice World_.
