Summary: Mothers, this is a Great film for children at Nap Time~
Review: Come on.... I thought that it would be a good movie, and believe me, I am a Brad Pitt fan, but this movie can put one to sleep. This movie portrays a mountain climber (Pitt) who is assigned to climb the Himalayas for the Nazis in WW2, and ends up becoming a prisoner of war. It shows how Bradd Pitt escapes the P.O.W. Camp and flees to Tibet's Holy City, Lhasa, to end up becoming HH the Dhalai Lhama's Private Tutor, and friend. Yeah right, I'm sure you are jumping to your feet right now. This'll sure keep you busy if you are prepared to watch almost 3 hours of a non-action, unrealistic film, even though the story is true.

Summary: Excellent
Review: The scenery and filming of this movie is very excellentand the stars (including Brad Pitt) are acting at their very best. I saw this movie last year and it was very excellent. Anyway, this is how it goes. When a husband (Brad Pitt : Meet Joe Black, Legends Of The Fall) has gone hunting in the mountaisn while his wife is pregenant he is captured by the war. He cannot return to his wife and children until he gets out but he is forced to move to Tibet. He spends seven years at Tibet and wonders if he will ever return to his wife and kids again.

Summary: A Sensitive And Personal Story Of Self Discovery
Review: Sensitive and beautiful in every respect; Seven Years in Tibet, is an underrated film. Brad Pitt took another undue critical beating, with many viewers are distracted by his good looks. He gave a very good performance beginning as a self-centered and arrogant young man; who becomes a more fully realized and happy human being, as a result of his experiences. Pitt is no male Meryl Streep, when in comes to slipping into accents. This was not a major distraction, besides, Austrian and German accents are slightly different. Most Americans would not know this, as many were quick to criticize Pitt's 'German' accent.

The spiritual aspect of the story is very strong, but subtlely delivered. Again, this movie is not one that would be enjoyed by moviegoers who require high thrills per minute. The movie is a thinking person's movie about growth and spiritual discovery. While this was not a perfect movie, Seven Years in Tibet is worth seeing, and leaves a strong impression for a more sensitive movie viewer.

Summary: Boring and Stupid Plot
Review: I guess this movie is only for die hard Brad Pitt Fans. Yes the scenery is great but the story is very shallow. And it's very long also.

Summary: absorbing tale of spiritual change
Review: Seven Years in Tibet is an adventurous dramatic film that tells the tale of a German mountain climber who has a spiritual change when he spends time with the Dalai Llama. This movie is long, but after watching the movie you'll be wishing this movie was longer. Brad Pitt is fine as Heinrich Harrer. The only problem is that his accent starts to disappear a bit as the film moves along. David Thewlis and Jamay Wangchuk give the movie's best performances. Thewlis should have received an oscar nomination for supporting actor. Wangchuk gives a beautiful performance as the Dalai Llama. Overall, this is a movie that exceeds in drama.

Summary: Brad Pitt spreads his wings!
Review: This film is beautiful in every way. The story of the 13th Dalai Lama and how he changed the life of a self-centered Olympic mountain climber. Brad Pitt shines and the direction and cinematography are breathtaking.

Summary: Great setting and plot
Review: This movie was a bit overlong, but the scenery was breathtaking and the acting quite good. The plot was also interesting, although a bit drawn out. Set in the beautiful mountains of Tibet, it was a real treat to watch. I gave it four stars because it really could have been shorter, and although the plot is good, it sometimes gets muddled through the movie.

Summary: An enjoyable film
Review: Although I am not a big fan of Brad Pitt, the subject matter of this film was of great interest to me.

Harrer's (Pitt) transformation was interesting, but I though his supporting cast was more thoroughly developed by Annaud, and carried the film.

Excellent mountaineering scenes at the beginning of the story.

Summary: Finally!
Review: This movie is wonderful for two reasons. The first is the obvious-- the story and the setting are beautiful. It would have been a good movie if it was shot inside a penitentiary, but the scenery and the unlikely combination of the Dalai Lama and a jerk of a mountain climber make it breathtaking. Also, this movie is important because it shows in a very real way the things that China did (and is doing) to Tibet. I had an intense interest in Tibet before I saw this movie, but Seven Years In Tibet only made me want to find out more about the situation there. It is an important story that needs to be told, and this movie is the perfect way to grab the attention of many people. Magical.
