Rating: Summary: Brilliant... Review: "Life Is Beautiful" is nothing short of a masterpiece. Begnini, amazingly, was able to portray the horrors of the holocaust by telling a story that is both humourous and heartwarming. The entire cast is wonderful, the story is incredible, and the film is brilliant. This film is a must-see. DO NOT let the fact that this is a foreign film scare you away...SEE THIS FILM!!!

Rating: Summary: Benigni is Brilliant! Review: Perhaps one of the finest tragicomics since Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton, Roberto Benigni has created something rare: A movie which transcends religion or genre. It is a movie which affects everyone, and a brilliant movie at that. See it again and again, if you have a father, if you have a child, if you have a heart, this one's for you. Bravo for Benigni! Life is Beautiful is truly an excellent film!
Rating: Summary: My first foreign film- and an experience to remember Review: Life is Beautiful was my first foreign film, and I didn't know how I would feel. I got lost in the beautiful language. This gives a very historically correct view of the horror of the Holocaust.

Rating: Summary: The movie of the year! Review: This movie was without a doubt the most moving and inspiring movies I have seen in a long long time. The first part was a wonderful comedy - Roberto Begnini is one of the most naturally talented actors today. The sceond part of the film was distressing but at the same time, inspiring. Absolutely the best film I have seen in years!

Rating: Summary: Deeply spiritual and affecting Review: This movie moved me in ways I have never experienced. Deeply profound fear and laughter AT THE SAME TIME. Very surreal emotional experience. THIS IS A MUST SEE MOVIE. I took a van full of people to another town when it left ours just to see it. All thought it was well worth the trip and then some!
Rating: Summary: The Best Movie I've Seen in a Long Time Review: Life is Beautiful is one of the most emotional and touching movies I've ever seen. I didn't expect that this movie would be so wonderful. I thought the subtitles would ruin the effect of the movie, but it was really vice versa. I don't suggest seeing the movie without subtitles because it would ruin the over all effects of the film. Roberto Begnini was fantastic, adding his own special touch to the movie, and the writers of the movie are brilliant. There are so many ingenious little touches within the script. My favorite part of the movie was when Guido snuck into the office at the concentration camp and spoke to his "princess" over the intercom. I almost burst out crying in the theater. This movie really does show the beauty in life, and how everything is a matter of perspective. I don't suggest passing this movie up. It's one of the few movies that really touch your lives.
