Review: Life Is Beautiful is a surprisingly effective film about fathers and sons and the love that connects them. It is very flawed, and occasionally manipulative, but all in all, it works very well. I do take issue with Roberto Benigni's winning of the Best Actor Oscar, which should have gone to either Nick Nolte or Ian McKellen. Still, a good film.

Review: The movie industry has defined its classics already: Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, etc. The supposed finest movies of all time show only portions of humanity, small slices of a reality that the movie creates. Life is Beautiful, by some incredible stroke of wonder and genius, however, gives the audience more than any other film has: it gives away the heart of the human who created the film, Mr.Benigni. For his genius and the magic of the film we should all be grateful.

Review: I went to see this movie with my grandparents who were both living in Italy when theses terrors occoured. Watching their emotions, because of their memories of seeing it in real life, was a powerful and moving experience for me. This movie was a masterpiece, and should have won best picture.

Review: This movie is not so much as a Holocaust movie as it is a love story, and an incredibly touching one at that. Therefore it can be fully and completely exonerated for not being "Schindler's List" (which, by the way, is not nearly as good as everyone thinks it is). What La Vita e Bella is is a story that restores hope in mankind; it says that even in the face of ultimate evil, love will always triumph. At the end of the film ("We won!"), I felt that Life is, indeed, beautiful.

Review: This movie was very emotional. It brought out the horrors of the Holocaust and yet it added a poignant humor to the whole thing. It showed how some victims were very naive, but also cautious. I enjoyed this movie greatly and hope to purchase it in November.

Review: I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it! Roberto Benigni was amazing! He's a brilliant actor. I loved how he met Niccoletta Bracshetti in the movie. My favorite actor in the movie was Guiorgio Cantarini. The movie had an incredible feel to it. You feel like your in the movie. It makes you want to see more foreign films. It just makes you love life! It's a remarkable movie.
