Rating: Summary: Does not work Review: I have been very pleased with the way this recorder works, everything is one touch and the recordings come out fine. I have recorded vhs and my digital satelite and at 4 hour recordings. The only thing I would have liked was a second set of inputs in the back instead of in the front. So far nobody mentions the i-link conection for your video camera, it has one in the front, behind a cover.

Rating: Summary: SO FAR VERY HAPPY Review: I PURCHASED THIS MACHINE TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO WRITING THIS REVIEW AND SO FAR I AM VERY HAPPY. I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO RECORD MY OLD VHS TO DVD AND IT WORKED VERY WELL. I ALSO RECORDED FROM MY DIRECT TV AND THAT CAME OUT GREAT AND ALL THIS WAS DONE RECORDING IN THE LOW QAULITY FORMAT (6 HOURS). I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO BEEN ABLE TO RECORD IN 5.1 BUT SO FAR HAVE NOT FOUND A MACHINE THAT CAN DO THAT. I DIDN'T SEEM TO FIND ANY PROBLEMS THAT OTHER RECORDERS SEEM TO HAVE, WHEN I SHOPPED THE INTERNET FOR A RECORDER. THIS ALSO HAS AN I-LINK CONNECTION FOR CAMCORDERS THAT IS NOT MENTIONED IN ANY SPEC SHEETS (ITS ON THE FRONT OF THE MACHINE BEHIND A FLIP DOWN COVER, ALONG WITH ANOTHER SET OF INPUTS) BUT HAVE NOT TRIED THAT OUT YET.

Rating: Summary: Does not work Review: The two dudes must be paid reviewers, because I've tried three of these and none worked well. Wasted a few disks and the ones I did burn could not play on my Apex player. This is still new technology so go with something more mature.
