Summary: Great action, good story, Brad Johnson, Brad Johnson!!
Review: The movie followed the story line in the book pretty much on target. Good history of the Intruder which has since been retired. Danny Glover's performance with his usual flair for drama/comedy was entertaining, the casting was near perfection, can't go wrong with Brad Johnson, in my opinion one of the most under-rated actors in the business today. Intruder II where are you?

Summary: GOOD WAR FLICK
Review: THIS IS AN EXCELLENT VIETNAM WAR FLICK. WHI IS IT NOT OUT ON DVD YET?

Summary: This is the way it was.
Review: This is the way it really was. I used to fly F4s of the Oriskany back in '66. Everyday (and most nights) I'd watch the A6s queueing up for takeoffs and traps. I flew with the best. This movie, even though there are a "few" technical problems, brings me back to those days almost 40 years ago.

I agree with the movie's major premis - we could have won the war if the politicians kept their noses out of the running of the war.

Ignore all these arm-chair warriors and watch the movie. For the most part, it shows how it really was.

Summary: This is an excellent movie about the air war over Vietnam.
Review: This movie is a great depiction of the air war in Vietnam in 1972. It has it's funny moments, it's serious moments, but all in all, it's a great action movie with a great plot and storyline. Also, since Willem Dafoe is one of my favorite actors, that was another plus for this film. Danny Glover put in a hell of a performance as the skipper of the air crew, and Brad Johnson and Willem Dafoe put in excellent performances as the pilot/bombardier team. This is a movie worth five stars.

Summary: Great movie but where is the DVD ?
Review: This movie is a great movie. But why has it not come out on DVD!? Come on Paramount!

Summary: Spread your wings and soar!
Review: This movie is my all time favorite. Yes, I read the book first, and I was surprised at the wholesale changes Hollyweird made. I enjoy the comeraderie of the characters and the attention to detail in recreating Po city in the Phillipines. If you are a book nut who thinks that a book should be literally translated on to the big screen, this movie isn't for you. If you want to pop a good movie into the VCR on a slow Saturday afternoon, this is the movie for you.

Summary: Better then Top Gun
Review: This movie should have been better then Top Gun.
In everyones mind though we all want the speed and cockyness of
a fighter pilot.
But, as the line states,"Fighter pukes make movies, bomber pilots make history."
I believe that because this movie wasn't as big as Top Gun is
because there was a little love story in Intruder, that was not
as big Top Guns steamy love scenes.
This movie to me was better then Top Gun because of the absence
of a steamy romance, just a hint.
This movie, should be considered a classic.

Summary: This movie was Great!
Review: This movie shows great photos of the A-6 intruder and the A-1 Skyraider. The movie was very well done and I have watched it several times. You need to see this movie and listen to the audio cassette. C. Jeff Dyrek

Summary: Great movie about Naval aviation during Nam!
Review: This movie was great & most people have never even heard of it.
The movie is very accurate & shows what it was like to have piloted an A-6 during Nam. The movie is better than Top Gun because it has more action & it's realistic. This should be in all military buff's collection.

Summary: Excellent Motion Picture/Poor DVD
Review: With Flight of the Intruder many other reviewers have tended to focus on the differences between the film and the original novel. While I think the book is better, the film is still a contemporary combat aviation classic.
The reason I gave this DVD only 3 Stars is due to the apparent lack of interest by either the DVD authoring company or the Production Company.
Firstly, the Primary Menu Screen has a glaring error in continuity. They have shoddily created a montage from the Theatre poster and what appears to be a picture from another film entirely(Black Angel I think). It features a Grumman F-14 Tomcat emerging from a large explosion. The time setting for this film, during the Vietnam War, is well before this aircraft was put into service.
Secondly, the subtitles on this DVD are awful. Many times the text is way off from what was said by the actors. Perhaps the persons doing the sub work were hard of hearing or just made assumptions as to what was said due to lack of knowledge of military nomenclature.
Thirdly, I really would like it if they had provided at least a few extras. Trailers, Behind the scenes, Still-shots, etc.
On the whole it's a good film that has not been given it's due by the people who released it onto DVD.
