Summary: The tradition of Christmas with the Grinch
Review: Ever since I was about 3, I loved watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". I'm so used to watching it on Christmas, that I still do till this day. Now I guess the tradition is that the Grinch always shows up on Christmas, wheather it's on tv, or on tape. Now I got my three nephews even watching it.

Summary: the mustard brown grinch on dvd
Review: I agree with both Chicago, IL and Boston, Ma reviews. The crystal clear DVD viewing of 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'was great but, WHY is the grinch not in his true green color! There are other greens in the picture so why not the grinch! Very perplexing we thought and it made the viewing very disappointing. WHAT GIVES! I would highly recommend buying the VHS version due to this disturbing error on the DVD version. I suppose the people who like the DVD version don't realize that the grinch in this version is an impostor! Even when he's green on the DVD cover AND main menu screen!

Summary: Two family classics presented in this modern format
Review: This DVD is a must for the holiday season. It features the original Grinch classic plus Horton Hears A Who. The extra features are well worth it with trivia games and bios on the major creators of this story. We'll be watching this one all year long!

Summary: Embodies the true spirit of Christmas!
Review: HANDS DOWN my all time favorite holiday special. When I find myself starting to hate the whole Christmas season [the crowded stores, combat drivers, and the noise, noise, noise....] I take the time to watch this show. Then I feel I have the stength of ten grinches plus two and the true meaning of Christmas comes shining through! From the memorable songs to the Chuck Jones animation. The brilliant casting of Boris Karloff to narrate and the uncredited singing of Carl Ravenscroft [voice of Tony the Tiger] for "You're a mean one mr. Grinch" really make this a great holiday special with a lesson for us all. I also have the privalage of working with a girl whose great uncle was Theodor Geisel [Dr. Seuss]. Although she never met him, I still think that's pretty cool!

Summary: The same great story and songs but a terrible video transfer
Review: I recently purchased this DVD and was immensely disapointed with the quality of the transfer. The colors were all over he place with the Grinch appearing as a yellow, then brown and finally slightly green creature. The transfer is terrible. I would not recommend it to anyone based upon this poor quality.

Summary: What's Christmas Without the Grinch???
Review: I always looked forward to watching this movie on a TV special around Christmastime. I received it as a gift from a friend, and continue to make it a Christmas tradition. The story is terrific, and who can get up after watching this movie and not start singing "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch?!"

Summary: Boris' narration is supurb! A true classic !
Review: No one has a voice quite like Boris Karloff. He adds so much to this classic Dr. Suess animation. Great story for the kids and the parents alike. Rare stuff with today's fare. I make this a must viewing each and every Christmas.

Summary: You're a Mean One ...
Review: ...if your kids don't watch this each year! We all grew up with this one and it is a timeless classic. The animation, the narration and the charming story will never go out of style. Suess Rules!
