Summary: One of My Favorite John Travolta Movies!
Review: I remember watching The Boy in the Plastic Bubble on TV when I was a little girl and I thought it was a wonderful movie and I still think it's a wonderful movie! John Travolta is very good as teenager Todd Lubitch who was born with a disease that forces him to live in a plastic isolation chamber because germs are very dangerous for him. The movie also stars Diana Hyland and Robert Reed as Todd's parents and Glynnis O'Connor as the teenage girl who lives next door and they are all very good but especially John Travolta. This movie is loosely based on a true story and and I very highly recommend it. I taped The Boy in the Plasic Bubble when it was rerun commercial free on cable but as this is one of my favorite movies that John Travolta has starred in I'm thinking of buying the movie on DVD!

Summary: Just as Good Now as it was Then!
Review: I remember watching The Boy in the Plastic Bubble when it was first shown on TV when I was eleven years old and I thought it was a terrific movie and it's about 28 years later and I still think it's a terrific movie! John Travolta was very good as teenager Todd Lubitch who was born with a immune system deficiency that forces him to live in a plastic isloation chamber away from germs which are very dangerous for him! The movie also stars Diana Hyland and Robert Reed as Todd's parents and Glynnis O'Connor as the teenage girl who lives next door and they are all very good but especially John Travolta. This movie is loosely based on a true story and and I very highly recommend it. I taped The Boy in the Plasic Bubble when it was rerun commercial free on cable but I taped it on a VCR that was old and starting to break down so the tape is messed up and I'm probably going to buy the DVD!

Summary: The Boy In The Plastic Bubble
Review: I remember watching this movie on television when I was a little girl. I cried like a baby, then.

When I watch it now, a tear still comes to my eye because of the "overall" meaning.

Being done in the 1970's, the quality is less than perfect and the sound is distorted. However, since I remember it when I was younger, it holds my interest until the end.

The end? Which I always thought was a disappointment, they never stated what happened to him. It took me several hours of research to find out what happened to the real "Boy In The Plastic Bubble." For those of you who would like to know: His real name was "David Vetter." He died at age 12 from a bone marrow transplant.

I would recommend this movie for persons who remember watching it when they were younger or for people who are interested in SCID. (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency)
