Review: I HAD NEVER READ ANY OF THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS UNTIL I SAW THIS MOVIE. I THINK THEY CASTED THE CHARACTERS PERFECTLY! NOW AS I READ THE OTHER BOOKS I CAN CLEARLY SEE THOSE WONDERFUL ACOTRS PLAYING OUT THE SCENES. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE WONDERFUL BOOKS AND THE MOVIES TO COME!

Summary: I loved Harry Potter!!!
Review: I loved it and everyone I talked to loved it. It was very imaginative and displayed the characters exactly the way I pictured them from the book!

My 7 year old brother liked when Harry Potter got the snitch

It wasn't too scary but set the right mood for the story and the acters and actresses were unbelievable.

We own the computer game and play it all the time!

I wasn't crazy about the music but, I still give it....drumroll...FIVE STARS!!! I can't wait for the next movie. Tell J.K Rowling to get a move on the 5th book; I don't think I can take the suspence any longer!

I really was NOT a fan of harry potter before that, But that was when i was a slooowww reader!.. and my friend hated me for it!.. Now I have read all four books three times in the last month!... I am Crazy about it! And i will not be surprised if mr. Rupert Grint, Danny Radcliffe and Miss. Emma Watson get a Oscar!... Listen, I come from New Zealand, Where The lord of the rings is from, and the rest of the nzers lurve LOTR But, I would only give it a 4 and a half star out of 5!... Summary: Totally "Wicked"!
Review: Oh my gosh, I really had no idea how positively wonderful this movie was going to be so I was comletely surprised! It had great special effects and fantastic actors! It is truly movie magic!
Definetly the best movie of 2001, and I'm sorry, Lord of the Rings was very good, but it just doesn't compare to Harry Potter!(I don't even know why people compared the two, there totally different movies.)

Summary: Wonderful and Amazing!!!
Review: When I went to see this movie I really didn't know what to expect. I had started reading the book back in October but I was only up to the part where Harry meets Hagrid. But I went to see the movie not too long after it went to the theater. After I saw it many of my friends expressed their feelings that they didn't know if they wanted to see it because they were affraid it would be different from the book. Well I have since finished reading the book and I'm happy to say that for the most part the movie does stick to the book. The film was wonderful and the special affects were amazing. I also can see why some of the parents were against Harry Potter (Books) in the schools. However I do not feel that it would do that much damage as long as the parents make sure these children know that it is just make believe and not real. Definitely go see it! A comparable movie would be: Matilda (by: Roald Dahl).

Summary: Wonderful!!!
Review: I went to see this movie not too long after it came out. I really didn't know what all the story was all about, but I had been reading the book since October. Anyway I really enjoyed it. Some people have told me they didn't really want to see the movie because it would probably be to different from the book. Well I have since read the rest of the book and for the most part it stuck very closely to the book. It is a wonderful movie and if you enjoyed the books you must go see it.

Summary: Why not watch and enjoy it ? IT's A SPLENDID MOVIE!
Review: if you're thinking that you shouldn't watch this movie just because there's witch craft and all then think again! Not only does this film teach us about friendship but also to always have courage. Take my advice and watch it! I've already watched it thrice! and I for one think that missing this movie is simply not worth it. Thank you!

Summary: One of the major to-be classics brought to life!
Review: I truly believe that Harry Potter is a classic waiting to happen! Right up there with Lord of the Rings. The movie does follow the book pretty much, but that didn't matter, and it's long, but it doesn't seem much longer than an hour and a half. The movie was packed with action and moved the entire way until the end. A definate MUST-SEE!!

Summary: One of the best films of 2001.
Review: Harry Potter is one of the most hyped movies of the year and I am happy to inform all viewers that this is one heck of a movie and certainly lives up to expectations. The movie literally took my breath away with its brilliant design and set decoration, and I had to remind my heart to keep beating during the Quidditch match. Harry Potter is a movie so vibrant and brilliant to look at, that when you leave the cinema, you still have a dark, candle-lit Hogwarts flashing in front of you. This movie has heaps of heart and is a joy to watch. When the credits flashed I was pleading with the silver screen for the film to continue going! The acting in the movie is highly satisfactory. Daniel Radcliffe is a very believable and perfectly cast Harry Potter, while Emma Watson has some brilliant lines in a character so intelligent and intriguing she steals some of the scenes. More of those scenes are stolen by a gobsmacking Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, who is a great entertainer and a brilliant and un-shy performer in front of the screen. Adult actors Robbie Coltrane, Richard Harris, Ian Hart, Maggie Smith and especially Alan Rickman are all excellent and are setting themselves up for career-best moves with the Harry Potter saga. Chris Columbus have never directed better. With moving pictures, staircases, 3-headed dogs, and a brilliant and breathtaking castle, he has put it all together and has shined out the movie more than anybody else in the crew. But the person you have to give credit to is J.K. Rowling. This woman, once a poor and struggling woman writing Harry Potter books in a café, is now a billionaire and has some written some damn good material and deserves a big round of applause. She truly brings out the magic in the movie, and it is because of her ideas and sheer brilliance that we get the masterpiece of a result that Harry Potter is. Overall, this is a destined classic, and one of the few movies that had me in a toothy grin throughout.
