Summary: Terrific
Review: In my opinion this is the best stop-action film ever! The plot is unique: The denizens of Halloween Town kidnap Santa Claus and spend their Christmas by making it all a mess. The dark environment is perfectly depicted and the music is great. A Tim Burton creation. Therefore it is dark, a bit frightening and the humor is sarcastic. A perfect animated movie for all tastes!

Summary: Greatest Animated Movie EVER!!!
Review: The Nightmare Before Christmas is Tim Burton's Best By Far!! This is my favorite movie of all time!!! The Music is great also. I love all of tim burton's movies!!(with the exception of ("Mars Attacks" and "Planet of the Apes" wich are bolth a horrible disgrace to such a talented director)It's not childish at all it is great for all ages!!

The features are just as good Burton's debut "Vincent" is a great short film that is along the lines of The Nightmare Before Christmas(anamation wise). It is about an 8 year old boy who dreams of being like Vincent Price......

I recomend this to anyone in the world, I think no matter what kind of movies you like you could LOVE this one!!!!

Review: Three words, "BEST MOVIE EVER." If you havent seen this movie before, please do! It is personally my favorite movie, along with Burton's cinematic classic, "Edward Scissorhands." Okay, so you think it may be too scary for little kids. Well, let me give you a few reasons why it is NOT too scary:
1.) There is no gore, blood, foul language, or intense violence
2.) Everything is based on untrue events
3.) The plot is kind and sweet. It has a good moral to the end, which is, "Never change who you are inside."
Now that you can see why my absolute favorite movie is not too scary for kids, let me point out some reasons why "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is my favorite movie (since I was 4 years old):
1.) The characters are not bad or mean (exceptions to Oogie Boogie)
2.) The storyline is fun and colorful
3.) The songs and script are ones that make you smile and feel good
4.) It's simply a great movie you watch when wanting to sit back, and watch a WONDERFUL~ film. Please take my word for it- "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is a delightful movie about friendship, solving problems, trusting, and learning that being yourself is be

Summary: Simply awful...
Review: This movie is dark and depressing. It has forever ruined Christmas for me. Christmas is supposed to be about love and peace, not torture and death! Totally disturbing! The only positive thing you can say about it is the level of creativity is high but what a terrible direction to take with it. Do yourself a favor and pick some other show. If you value your sanity you will steer clear of this film at all costs.

Summary: A Darkly Humorous Spin on Christmas
Review: I saw this film when it came to the theater back in '93, and I loved it. What makes the Special Edition such a treat is the Behind the Scenes track, where you get to meet the mastermind (Tim Burton) and his talented crew. Watching it, I was awed by the painstaking detail they went through to produce this film. Anyone who is studying animation shouldn't miss this segment.

As for the deleted animation scenes and storyboards, there were a couple I wish they could have included. I was glad they left out one storyboard with the Evil Scientist revealing his "true" identity. That, I felt, was an overused plot idea.

I had put the previous DVD edition on my wishlist, hoping to get it for my birthday or Christmas, but that didn't happen. I'm glad I didn't get it, because I would never have had the justification to buy the special edition. It was well worth the wait.

Summary: perfect for Halloween AND Christmas
Review: Jack, the scary king of Halloween, has grown weary of scaring kids and decides he should try a new tack with a different holiday -- namely, Christmas. To this end, he enlists the help of a few goblins to kidnap Santa Claus so that he, Jack, can take over.

The result is a hysterical mess as the Christmas gifts he makes are inevitably scary.

The music, written by Danny Elfman, is great with clever lyrics and ghoulish overtones "Kidnap Mister Santy Claus, put him in a box! Lock him up for 50 years, then see if he talks!"

Even though it is animation, it is not really for very young kids, who may be disturbed at the kidnap and torture of Santa Claus. But it is good fun for everyone else in the family!

Summary: Simply magic!
Review: What could I possibly say that would do justice to this masterpiece of modern cinema? Tim Burton expertly blends the creepy and the kooky with a great storyline and excellent characters to acheive a film that can enchant both the young and the old alike. This film is on my top-ten list of all time.

Summary: A Movie That Comes Only Once in a Lifetime!
Review: The Nightmare Before Christmas. I've grown up with the movie. Back in '93 when I was very young I first saw it. I was too young to complete a complex thought about the film but now I am. I've seen the movie dozens of times between then a now and have been trying to get the DVD for a while now and finally got it recently. Watching the deleted scenes and photos were fun because I got to know what it was like to make the movie and what they did. The movie has been critcally praised and all I've heard were good things from the people who've seen it.

The film starts by seeing that all of the holiday's have there own town. Creatures and people representing people heard around that holiday.(Monsters on Halloween,Elfs on Christmas etc)They celebrate that holiday when the time comes and in the woods there are trees with the doors to those places. The story starts in Halloweentown where they are celebrating Halloween. Jack Skellington who is the one loved by most and is the most scariest of all the creatures there. When Halloween ends we learn that Jack has been depressed because it's always the same every year. He ends up walking into the place where all the holidays intersect. He walks into Christmastown and loves everything there. No monsters,no ghouls,no horror. Just happiness and people being jolly. Back at home he ponders about what the meaning of Christmas is only to come up with one solution......to make there own Christmas. Jack and the crew in Halloweentown all make toys they think are beautiful and fun but are really horrible and scary. Jack is warned from his friend Sally who loves his dearly to not go on with it but Jack disagrees. He needs something new to end his Halloween cycle. Jacks big misake is when he sends Halloweentown's finest trick or treaters Lock Shock and Barrel to go and get Santa Clause. The problem is caused when they give him to Oogie Boogie(Bogeyman)and Boogie is a very very evil Halloweentown citizen. Can Christmas be saved?

With excellant music and songs by composer Danny Elfman(Spiderman,Planet of the Apes,Novocaines Theme)Great songs include "This is Halloween","Jack's Lament","Sally's Songs","Jack's Obession",and "Poor Jack".

Some scenes may be a little scary to some young kids but The Nightmare Before Christmas has fun for everybody...adults and kids alike. A movie that will always be loved and will always be great.

ENJOY!

Review: I like this movie for four reasons, Danny Elfman, Tim Burton, Stop Motion Animation and Lock, Shock and Barrel! Danny Elfman is a musical genius and Tim Burton's other movies (Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Batman, Beetlejuice, ect.) were all some of my favorites. I recomend this movie to any fan of these two cast members or anyone getting anoyed o your average Christmas special.
