Summary: May be the best one yet!
Review: This hour long tape is LOADED with fun for you and your child. The music is so catchy, that I find muself singing "I Love Trash" outloud in the shower! This tape is a must for anyone who appreciates Sesame Street from past or present.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: Full of great Sesame Street favorites, it has tons of songs that my 14 month old loves. I also love that it's an hour long, as opposed to the usual 30 minutes. Finally, a video that gives me enough time to actually accomplish some things around the house!

Summary: Excellent!
Review: My 19 month old son loves this DVD! The first time he watched it he was sitting in his high chair and rocking the high chair trying to dance to the songs.

My son especially loves Bert and Ernie (he could care less for Elmo) and it's difficult finding DVD's with Bert and Ernie but there are plenty of skits with them throughout this DVD.

For us parents who grew up on Sesame Street it is nice to see our old friends (Oscar, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, etc.)

A great buy!

Summary: Perfect for a long plane ride
Review: We purchased this DVD to entertain our 15 month old on a plane trip and it worked like a charm. It easily kept her occupied for a couple hours, which was priceless on a long plane ride. She is now 20 months old and begs us to watch it nearly every day. She'd watch it all day if I let her. She loves to sing and dance along. This was a great investment and a lifesaver!

Summary: Fun and Entertaining!!!
Review: My son has been watching this video for the last few months (he's almost 2) and absolutely loves it! Occasionally, he'll put it in the VCR himself and just start watching. There is a combination of classic and not so classic Sesame Street songs. For some of the songs there is "modern" flavor/twist. If your child loves music, this is a great choice, since there is more music than dialogue. I think it's definitely worth adding this to your video collection.

Summary: Warning--Not for adults, but toddlers love it
Review: My husband and I could hardly stand this video when we first got it, but my 18 month old loves it. He watches it over and over, and cries when we have to stop to rewind it. We are buying a second copy for the car. And, I now have to admit that the songs stick with me all day, and aren't so bad after all.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I got this video from a friend, and after watching it, I couldn't wait to get online to [critique]it! This is a very bizarre flashback video from the early '90's with mostly material from that era. If you're looking for a classic sesame street video this is NOT it. I suggest you fast-forward to the end of the tape to watch Kermit sing "it's not easy being green" then give the tape away to some other [person].

Summary: What a disappointment!
Review: When I saw this DVD available, I thought I'd found a sort of "Greatest Hits" compilation. It lists the featured songs on the back, which include manu Sesame Street classics. It failed to mention that all of the Rubber Duckie songs are cut short and mashed into an unsatisfying medley. The songs are all showcased within a story about Big Bird looking for "la la-ers," which makes this feel like a bad clip show. I realize that this was a TV special, but the way that the ...story cut into classic songs grated at me. To top it off, this DVD does not include menus or anything to help viewers navigate the disc (of course, it is an older DVD). I really hope that someday soon they decide to release a real "Best of" Sesame Street DVD, with each segment shown in its entirety. I would love to see these classic songs along with some of the great non-musical moments. Unfortunately, in this time of Elmo-centric releases, it doesn't seem likely to happen.

Summary: My son lost interest quickly, but I loved the old stuff!
Review: It was a trip down memory lane for me. My son did dance but there is too much inbetween stuff that just didn't do anything for him. Those three furry looking tall pelican like creatures bopping in tune to the music was a bad idea. He turned away and lost all interest in that part.
He did enjoy the LA LAing(became a la laer himself by the end), and the Elmo song. I think the Count scared him, but he loved the rest of this menagrie of old sesame mixed with some new.
I don't highly recommend buying this, rent it first. I think that anyone that grew up watching Sesame Street might appreciate this more than their children because of the older songs "C is for cookie"< "Rubber Duckie" "Doin' the Pigdeon", "Count it Higher", and the "Aardvak song", and the "alligator" song.
It's missing a few though, "Born to Add", "letter B" were my old faves that were takeoffs of real rock songs.
Big Bird grows more annoying as the hour wears on complaining about not being able to find la laers. This just teaches little ones whining gets you what you want. Not a good lesson!

This has some hits and misses..Not worth buying.

Summary: Great Music, Great Dancing Great FUN
Review: We first found this DVD at our local library, my daughter loved it so much that within a week we knew we had to buy it. She was about 10 months old, she's now 20 months old and still loves this DVD.

The songs are infectious for all who listen to them! I have been known to stay up at night singing the words but it's worth it when your little one is running through the house singing them too. We still "happy tap" with Elmo everyday.

The last two chapters of the DVD are the most loved in our house, we watch them 3 or 4 times when the DVD is being played.

I did take off 1 star for the lack of navigation tools throughout the DVD.
