Review: This is a great DVD player. It has everything you need, at a price you can't beat. It's such a good buy. It's easy to set up and easy to use. A great first DVD player for anyone who is thinking of getting a DVD player. I wouldn't use it on my HDTV home theater, but if you just want something simple that looks great, this is the one. It has good sound and picture for the price. Haven't had any problems with it, what can I say I love it. It was cool.

Review: With all the glowing reports here about the DVD player I was expecting more than I got.

I recieved a FREE DVD player for signing up with Earthlink that has more features than this one - particularly audio ports! This one only has one set! The free one has 2 sets so it is easy to hook up one set to the TV and the other to the Stereo. With this one you'll have to choose which you want to plug in (or by piggie back plugs, like I did).

The Zoom is also only 2 step. With widescreen movies I prefer to zoom in and get the black portions off the screen but this 2 step zoom goes in too close so I have to watch with the black portions veiwable. The free one has 5 steps of zoom so I can easily zoom in one step and take the black portions off.

The DVD player it self works fine and runs so quietly you won't know it's on!

The price is great and the JVC brand name assures longevity - something the free one probably WON'T have!

The remote is a bit convoluted too. But all in all a nice player for someone, like me, who was going to hook it up to the stereo for surround sound anyway and likes the styling.
