Summary: Best portable dvd player out there
Review: I'm just a kid who has struggled to get one of these dvd players until finally I did. This portable dvd player I have to say has the best resolution out all most portable dvd players out there. Sure it is a 5inch but it has a much better resolution than most 7inch dvd players. Not only does the lv60 have a good resolution but it has a four hour battery. Depending on the condition of the battery sometimes lasts longer with the lowest brighting setting. Mp3 playback is awsome as well. The tiny speakers give an average sound , nothin special but if you use headphones It's out of this world. Also get a earphone splitter, you'll find it at Radioshack , to have two people hear through earphones. I highly recommend this dvd player and it's cheaper than most portable dvd players.

Summary: Panasonic DVD-LV57 Portable
Review: If you're looking for a portable DVD player, the DVD-LV57 from Panasonic is a great choice. The small 5 inch screen shows crisp, clear images with vibrant colors. The sound is also good. I saw no drawbacks with this little unit and am extremely satisfied with it's performance in every way.

Summary: Mine died after 4 months.
Review: Mine had no trauma to it. I just loved it and got it on a sale...Just last week though it would not power up with the power cord or the battery pack. Make sure you buy the extended warrenty!

Summary: I enjoy this DVD player
Review: My wife gave me this DVD player as a gift for the holidays. I was really surprised. I've gone on several business trips with it and have truly loved having it with me. The picture is very sharp. The unit is small, about the size of a walkman or so. The battery lasts around 4 and one half hours, or enough for two average movies. I've dropped it twice now with no damage. The sound is pretty good without earphones and very good with earphones (none come with the unit which is my only complaint).

The remote works great. And since the unit plugs into my home TV, the Panasonic DVD-LV60 doubles as my home DVD player as well!

In short, it is lightweight yet durable with a sharp picture and very good sound. A terrific item!

Summary: perfect lil' player
Review: player is JUST the RIGHT size for travel, but it DOESN"T come with a car adapter, case, or EXTRA battery( the bad news)......remote can be used ONLY w/ adapter(bad news)...remote can function across room. no need to aim DIRECTLY at player!.....player gets EXTREMELY HOT within 30 mins.(a warning?)....can also plug into vcr (av) outlets to view dvd's on YOUR tv ( enclosed booklet states NOT to plug into vcr...a misprint?? )...

Summary: Good Companion
Review: This is a good DVD player for road trips and plane rides, or any long travel at all. It offers a crisp color screen. The only problem that I didn't like about this DVD player was how I had to constantly move the screen to get rid of any kind of glare. Otherwise, I loved this. The battery life could be a bit better, because even at the lowest brightness setting, I couldn't finish some movies because the battery would die out. I liked the S Video jacks because I could hook my camcorder up to the DVD player and watch some home videos. All in all, this is a good buy.

Summary: The BEST...
Review: This Panasonic LV60 is simply the best unit in its price range. I originally bought the LV70 which has a 7" screen, but only plays DVD's or CD's. The L60 plays DVD's, Video CD's,CD's, CDR's, CDRW's and MP3's!! And the screen is only 1.2" smaller... The sound of the L60 is superb. There's VSS Cinema mode which improves sound thru the center channel. Though I have BOSE noise cancelling headphones and the sound thru them is also superb. The L70 is a wonderful unit as well, but now you're talking a bit pricey. Don't bother checking out the Sony FX-1, you will be disappointed, especially with the sound (what sound?). This L60 is compact, lightweight, comes with battery pack (attaches in such a way as to not make the unit any higher), an AC adapter, video cables, and also comes with a very sleek remote. If you want to pay more than what this unit costs, you're better off getting a laptop! Remember, this is a "portable dvd player". It should be compact, and this one is! A lot of stores are sold out of this product...because it simply is "the best"! Hope this review helps you in your purchase!

Summary: A great "plays everything" portable
Review: This unit has got to be the best portable unit ever !!! It plays dvds, vcds of music videos I download from the net and burn on my computer, mp3s (up to 320kbps for sure I can't remember if I have tried vbr though)along with regular audio cds. Both cdr and cdrw are no problem. For the last couple days I've been using this unit in my jeep to play mp3s and it hasn't skipped ONCE in the 5 or 6 hours it's been bobbing up and down on the passenger seat. The connections are about average for a portable: line, optical and headphone audio outs, composite and "s" video outs(you'll need to buy the special s-vid plug from panna,it's not included) the unit also has video in. Although I havn't run it straight through, It seems the manual is pretty close when saying battery life of 4 hours with the screen and 6 with it off. It's a thin, light, unit and the battery pack is a quick snap on and off. Of course the proof is in the pudding and you can tell panasonic has been doing this portable thing for awhile. The picture is excellent on the 5.8" screen and the sound is fantastic on everything, I was especially inpressed with mp3s, the decoder is top notch. If there is any downside it's the lack of a 7 inch screen but I don't mind it especially considering the added value of mp3,vcd playback.

this thing is in a class by itself !
