Happy shopping.

Summary: H07, 'nuff said
Review: I have been using this DVD player for almost 11 months when I get the dreaded H07 error. I got this for Christmas so it was purchased on November 15, 2002, since today is November 11, 2003 I beat the 1 year deadline for the parts warranty by 4 days but it doesn't really make any difference. After reading about the many experiences others have had with the H07 error (apparently means that the motor has failed), I am not going to waste my time calling Panasonic customer service. They are just going to put me on hold for a half hour, then come back to tell me it will cost me almost the purchase cost of the unit to get the thing repaired. This is very disappointing, and I thought that Panasonic manufactured better products than this worthless piece of plastic.
At least it seemed that my unit lasted longer than most (4 months, 6, months, 8 months....).
Please please please reconsider if you are thinking of purchasing this DVD player. This H07 error seems to be a common problem in Panasonic DVD players (not just with this model).
A few months ago I bought a Panasonic 5-disc micro audio system. Within 2 days it had stopped reading my CD's, so I had to send it back. The replacement unit has been working so far, but I am apprehensive that this product too will go kaput.

Summary: Error Message H07 on the Panasonic DVD-RV32S
Review: Like others I have now got the error message H07, which apparently means I am taking my new DVD to the tip in the morning. I received it as a Christmas present, so that makes it 10½ months old. The guarentee is useful now only as toilet paper (not terribly absorbant though). Needless to say I shall not be buying Panasonic again. I am thoroughly disappointed and feel quite helpless. I know when they offer to sell you extended warrentee at the cash desk that it is a con, that my purchase really shouldn't need it, or in the light of this ... perhaps we do. My mother always said 'I can't afford to buy cheap' now I know what she means

Summary: H07 Error after 6 months - only 90 Day Warranty
Review: This is a worthless piece of (...) - its not worth the money you pay for because it breaks after 6 months. Ours broke after 6 months! Its not worth fixing because Panasonic wants to charge us (and you eventually)$100 to fix it since its past the incredibly short and worthless 90 day period. Why can't these manufacturers stand by their products and either make a decent product or give a good warranty - 1 year should be standard. Tech support is also completely worthless, just a bunch of stupid talking heads. They obviously know this problem, but are too afraid to say anything - Three words: CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. I am exploring this option and I am planning to lodge a complaint with the Attorney General's office for fraud.

Whatever you do - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Do a google search on "Panasonic DVD H07 Error" and you'll see what I mean - the first 6 mths it works great, but after that it goes kaput - you might be lucky and get it to work 8 mths. Its not worth it! Instead spend $40 and buy a cheap single DVD player, which I guarantee will work for a longer time. Please DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE SORRY.

Summary: Humidity -- simply awful
Review: Stay away. Whenever it's humid out, the disc freezes and the system shuts down. Buy this if you live in Arizona. Otherwise, stay away,

Summary: Unit died after 8 months!
Review: This DVD player was great until today... I got the dreaded H07 error code. This code is not explained anywhere in the manual but I did a web search while waiting on hold with Panasonic and apparently H07 means "motor's dead." Makes sense... the unit will not read the DVDs at all. I called Panasonic and the lifeless person on the other end had me push some buttons, a procedure that was ineffectual. I was told by Panasonic that I'd have to mail it back to Panasonic for repairs (there's no one else authorized to repair Panasonic DVD players). I wouldn't have to pay for parts, but I do have to pay for labor which she estimated to be eighty dollars plus shipping, handling and tax, coming to an estimate of eighty-nine dollars. Plus I'd have to pay to ship it there to begin with. I didn't pay much more than that for a brand new unit and who's to say it won't die again in another 8 months? VERY disappointed. And shocked at how companies employ people who don't even bother to say, "I'm sorry you're having trouble." That doesn't cost anything!

Summary: My first DVD player
Review: My introduction to playing DVDs was very satisfying with this machine. If you are worried about missing some of the advantages of playing VHS tapes with DVD, this is the machine for you. When you play VHS, you can pull the tape out and go back to play it later at the place you left. With DVD, the machine must actually remember where this is and this unit can do that. FF is very much like VHS. Monitoring the time left and time spent for a DVD is easy to do.

The remote is easy to use, although more often then not I am pointing the wrong end at the unit.

You can play music on this unit too. The performance here is satisfying although not up to vinyl standards on an old amplifier not set up for digital audio.

Summary: Still works great!
Review: What can I say? It's been trouble-free.

Small buttons on the remote? Not a problem for me. I know where the important ones are.

Summary: Great price and quality
Review: This is the best dvd player for [item price] out there! I spent 2 months doing research on it just for my mother for Christmas. It's easy to operate. Hell, my mom can use it. The remote you can use for the tv also, but not for the reciever. If they could of done that it would of been perfect for features. The picture is the same as any non-progressive scan dvd player under $200. It has coaxial and optic outs. The coaxial is a better quality than optic, because coaxial doesn't loose any quality and strenght in the signal like optical. Just a tip.

Read some other of my reviews.
