Review: I just received the Pioneer PDVLC10 and I must say it is an incredible device! I saw the Panasonic portable player (the only one available) last year and I was disappointed by the picture quality. The minute I fired up the Pioneer I was amazed. The picture is crisp and large enough to enjoy. I hooked it up via the digital output to my home theatre system and it sounded great! I would suggest getting headphones if you use it since its built-in speakers are small in have NO bass. I highly recommend it. Looks great, small size, tons of output options, sleek!

Review: I liked this unit for about two hours...then a dead pixel group appeared in the middle of the screen. I checked the web and I should have been forewarned, this is typical of this unit.Therefore, back it goes to Amazon.com. I have not had ONE portable DVD unit from any manufacturer last more than 6 months. I give up on portable DVD.

Review: I purchased this unit last week, and am very happy with it. There is really no downside to the Pioneer given the price. The video resolution may not be as perfect as the Panisonic (my friend owns the 7" Panisonic model), but there is nothing to complain about and I just don't see the need to pay several hundred dollars more. Indeed, you only see the difference when you are looking closely to compare it to other units; certainly no difference when enjoying a movie (which is why your buying it, right!?!).

Summary: My Favorite Gadget!
Review: I recently purchased the Pioneer portable DVD player, and I was shocked at the great picture. I suggest you get a pair of good headphones, unless you're in a very quiet room. But when I hooked it up to my surround sound and big screen, it was as if I were at the movies.

Review: I travel alot and get bored with the very limited cable channels I get in hotels so I decided I needed a portable DVD. I looked at the 7" Panasonic model and the Pioneer PDVLC10. Hands down, the Pioneer spanked the Panasonic model. Setup is user friendly so you can start playing movies right away. The image is clear and crisp and the sound is awesome with headphones or using external speakers. I didn't find the battery and it's docking station heavy at all. I tried to play a double sided DVD in both models and found that the Panasonic didn't play DVD's 2x in Wide Screen format. I'm not going to knock the limitations of the Panasonic model but if you want a true test and get a chance to, try playing the Matrix, Blade and ID4 in both models... That's what sold me on the Pioneer PDVLC10 Portable DVD Player Nuff said!

Summary: Entertainment heaven
Review: I was given the PDV LC10 as a present, although my friends had made me pick it out prior to the suprise. The build quality of the product is astonishing when you consider the size, and the screen is excellent. The colours are vibrant, and in cinema mode the blacks are superb. Plugging it up through a 32" widescreen Loewe produced a stunning picture. Audio is high quality, although I have to now go and buy the Dolby 5.1 amp to really feel it. In Prologic it perferms well. By the way, when they release the portable Playstation, the PDV will be the must have accessory,as the device can act as a composite monitor as well. Playback of GT2 on the 7" screen was excellent!

Summary: PDV-LC10 a winner!
Review: I went into a store to compare the Panasonic LV75 and the Pioneer. I loved the Pioneer PDV-LC10 hands down. One thing that instantly sold me over the Panasonic is that I heard from quite a few reviews that the Panasonic is not compatible with many dual sided discs. My personal opinion on the overall design is that I like Pioneer's overall layout. They have their buttons nicely fixed on the side and the DVD door opens seperately. Panasonic's looks very flimsy. I opened the DVD compartment door and the compartment door and button panel is all one unit and is also made of EXTREMELY thin metal. I also hated how Panasonic had its button layout. the buttons look like they could break easy. So Panasonic has a built in Digital decoder and Pioneer doesn't. I'm using it for travel, so I don't need that. Also the Panasonic's silver metal reflects back to the screen :( Pioneer also has anti-glare screen. It is a bit heavy with the battery, but it's rediculous to argue that aspect. Batteries are always heavy. Only complaint is the zoom screen feature (pixely). Big thumbs up overall!
