Summary: WOW
Review: You get a DVD/VCD/CD player with MP3, CD-R, and CD-RW playback. Thats too good. IF you have a burner and a interbet connection than you can enjoy the mp3 playback. If not than get another dvd player that can cost ... less for one without an mp3 playback.

Summary: DVD w/MP3
Review: Very nice DVD. The picture is outstanding, no skipping, no glitches at all. The MP3 playback is great! It has no problem palying any of my CD-R MP3 CDs. Highly recommend the player.

Summary: solid performance for the money
Review: I've had this player for less than a month. So far it has performed flawlessly. I noticed that a couple of reviewers said they had trouble playing "The Matrix" on this player. I have had no trouble with this or any of the dozen other DVDs I have played. I would recommend this model to a friend.

Summary: IF YOU NEED A GREAT PLAYER AT AN EXCELLENT PRICE THIS IS IT!
Review: This is a great DVD player. The MP3 is critical and can blow a 5 disc multi-disc player away by offering over 300 songs per disc.

I have this hooked-up to a NEC 9PG Xtra Home Theatre projector with a DVDO Line-doubler and the 120" picture is great. Most important to me is the switchable sub-woofer output. Although most top-line AV-receivers have a sub-woofer output, you need to make a choice between using a sub-woofer or letting the bass come from the front channel speakers.

With the Panasonic's DVD sub-woofer output you can drive a sub-woofer directly from the DVD player AND let the bass also emanate from your main speakers through your AV receiver. This really gives a great home theatre sound. Also since the Panasonic's sub-woofer output is switchable, you can turn it off if you don't want to use the sub-woofer when listening to music.

You can also control the picture contrast, brightness, and color from the DVD player. This is extremely important if you have a line doubler that does not have this feature and are hooking up to RGB inputs on a video projector.

If you need a great DVD player at an excellent price - THIS IS THE ONE...

Review: A very good player. This was my first dvd player, but I am very satisfied. If you don't have surround sound, the advanced surround sound is great. The arrow buttons are a little hard to push sometimes though.

Summary: This player is all good!
Review: Tested out a burned cdr of audio and mp3's... I have this and a Apex player... much much better than the apex players. Don't forget, if you have a widescreen TV, you need to set this DVD player to 16:9 in the menu's.

Great product, free shipping. can't beat it.

Summary: Great DVD Player for first time purchase
Review: This was the first DVD player I have ever purchased. Based on the cost and the reviews I decided to buy this one. It is really nice and easy to use, I would recomend this model to anyone looking to purchase a 1 disc DVD player.

Summary: Excellent basic player, but don't buy it for MP3 capability
Review: I had a tough time deciding between this unit and the Pioneer DV-343. I ended up choosing the Panasonic mainly due to the MP3 playback ability. Well, it does play back MP3 discs, but with no kind of features whatsoever. The tracks are listed by number only, and you can't even randomize playback. You can do next track/previous track, and FF/REW within an MP3, but that's about it. Oh well, it's good if you want to mix a pre-randomized party CD or something.

As far as DVD playback goes, the picture is much better than my old RCA 5220 was. The FF/REW search for DVDs is excellent, much better than I expected from a low-end (but brand name) unit. I haven't used the DV-343 in person, but I know the previous model (the 333) had very choppy searches. It also plays VCDs on CDR very well, again with good search abilities. The unit does have it's cheesy side, as it says "Welcome to DVD World" when it powers up, but hey, Panasonic has never quite been in touch with American culture...

Other then the MP3 ability, this is an excellent unit. I'd definitely recommend it.

Summary: No complaints...BUT, this is my first!
Review: This is my first DVD player that I've ever bought so I don't have much to compare it to, except for playing around with a few of my friends' DVD players. But, I have to tell you that I am extremely satisified. I've been playing DVDs all weekend and haven't found one it won't play. I've even played "The Matrix" without any problems whatsoever. Don't know why the other guy was having problems. I haven't tried VCDs or MP3s yet, but that was not a big deal for me, it's just a nice extra. But as far as DVD playback, I love it!
