Summary: problem after 15 months
Review: I had no problems with it ... until now where suddenly it jsut stopped working.
I think there is something wrong with the reader since, it cannot read any of my dvds anymore.
Not even the disc cleaner which is suppose to have an audio. It displays that "the disc cannot be played" when I've played that same dvd in it before. ...the warranty doesn't cover it anymore (only 1yr...

Summary: serious quality problems
Review: I ordered one of these two months ago, and after playing a couple of DVDs accurately, it began to have very serious problems: the picture would freeze and decompose, the soundtrack would go out of synch. I returned it for a replacement -- and again, after playing 2-3 disks accurately, it has begun to do the same thing. Given the other negative reviews for this product, I imagine this problem (or something like it) is pretty common, not just the occasional lemon. I would not purchase this model unless Panasonic indicates that it has resolved the problem.

Summary: DAEWOO DVG 9000 N
Review: It's Dual Voltage, Multi region capability & disabled Macrovision features are the catch.

User Manual needs to be more explicit.

Summary: Easy - Just the way I like it
Review: I have always been a fan of Panasonic. Generally, their equipment works out of the box, is stylish, easy to use, and lasts forever. Right now I'll settle for the first 3 out of 4. Installation was a breeze, and it is a good looking unit.

Video quality is amazing, and it plays my MP3's perfectly. Honestly, I don't know how anyone would pay more if you can get a Panasonic for this price...

If you're in the market for a mid range DVD, just get the Panasonic. It does just about everything and price/quality ratio can't be beat.

Summary: Dead at 2 weeks!
Review: Bought this player because my Sony DVP-S360 died on me, took it home and two weeks later it too was dead. Good grief! I am never buying the low end players again. You get what you pay for, I guess! Can we say "EXTENDED WARRANTY" is a must?

Summary: decent player - WHILE IT WORKS!
Review: I suppose I now hold the record for the longest running of these dvd players, having purchased it early last year .... At the time, I was rushed for a birthday gift for my wife and obviously didn't do enough research on this boat anchor. First of all, the special features such as "dialogue enhancer" do nothing for the dialogue - there is a tendency for the background music to drown everything out regardless. The shortcomings of the mp3 functions have already been listed, so I'll move on to the players worst feature - the fact that after any sort of serious use, the player begins freezing up and eventually dies completely with an HO2 error (yes, mine is now dead too, after 11 months). Panasonic should be petitioned to issue a factory recall of this obviously defective unit.

Summary: Awesome bang for your buck
Review: I bought this after extensive research. I didn't need a progressive scan DVD player b/c I didn't want to fork the money for an Digital TV or HDTV so I looked for features. This one has them. Hasn't dissapointed me yet.. and it has played ALL of my MP3 CDRs!!! One feature it lacks is playlists but that is a minor thing. The DVD player, IMHO, has great picture and sound quality and options.

Summary: When it works, it's good.
Review: I bought my first RV31 in April of 2001. Within a month, I got an H-02 error and the unit stopped playing. I called the tech line, who ran me through some functions. No help. Off to the shop it went. Two months later, I got it back - unrepairable. They gave me a new one (same model). 6 months later H-02 again. I unplugged it (one of the first steps recommended by Tech support), and that fixed it. A week later, H-02. I took it back and got my money back. When it works, it's great. But mine has spent more time in the shop or down than it has working.

Summary: Works fine for me
Review: I've had this dvd player for about a year now and I had no problems with it. Maybe some people recieved defective players and that's why the error message appears. I've played movies on the player at least a thousand times and recieved no error messages at all. Features like the black level cinema and the dialogue enhancer does very little for me but it's an extremely good player
