Summary: The only flaw is if you dont buy this player
Review: First off I owned the earlier model RV-31,and like this one they are both perfect.Secound this may sound bad but before buying the rv-32 i took advantage of a 30 day return policy at a certain electronics store.I tried every player i could sony, toshiba, jvc, samsung the store got to know me well in the end it was the panasonic to win out hands down. The picture, the sound the durability, the easy to use on screen navigation is the best i have seen of any player. I use to work at an electronics store so i,ve seen them all. What most people dont mention in their reviews about dvd players is the display on the player itself. This is also another area where the panasonic tops its competition. It displays the chapter your on in the movie, the time, the type of disc your playing and you can dim the display level to your needs. This might sound small but all some other players (toshiba) display is the running time thats it.Small things like that add up.Another great thing about this player is the smooth fast forward and rewind it shuttles at 200x speed and it does it so fluid and smooth even at the highest speeds. My only beef is with the remote the buttons are way to small and positioned bad,but thats ok becouse you can go to panasonics website and order the rv-31 model remote every button works the same as the rv-32,exept this remote is the best remote of any and all dvd players nice big buttons were they should be and its only [money].i'll tell you again all the rv31 and rv32 remotes work the same way either remote can operate either player, just wanted to add that so if you do buy this player you can go to panasonics website and order the rv-31 remote and not worry if everythings gonna work with the rv-32 it only takes a few days to ship it to ya and BELIEVE me its worth it,and so is everything about the RV-32 panasonic dvd player buy it!

Summary: Another HO7 error
Review: Had this unit just over a year and the HO7 error has come up. Having looked at other postings and reviews, panasonic seems like a good brand to avoid.

Summary: Complete Failure After One Year
Review: I am very disappointed in Panasonic producing such an inferior product. I also have had a "H07" failure after having had this unit only for a little over a year! After only occasional use, the DVD player is now nothing more than a useless hunk of metal.

It is my understanding (after doing a search on "Panasonic H02" & "H07" failures) that this is quite a common problem with Panasonic DVD players.

I will not trust, or purchase, another Panasonic product again until the company can demonstrate that their quality standards have been greatly improved, and that they treat their customers with greater concern.

Summary: Great Player if all you need is to play the video.
Review: I bought a home theatre system and needed a good DVD player withough all the 'audio' whistles and bells.

You see, my home theatre system will handle the Dolby Digital and the DTS. Since this unit has component outputs, S-Video outputs and regular video output, it covers all the bases.

I was worried that this unit would be a bit boggled down with high action sequences. Contrare!! The picture is amazing and keeps up with all the quick action and scene changes.

If you have a home theatre system that will take care of the audio and don't want to blow a lot of bucks on a more expensive system, don't waste your money unless you must have progressive scan. I don't need that yet and for the money this unit rocks.

The sound from the digital out on my HT system ROCKS and rattles my room and teeth. Pick one up before they go.

Summary: H02 Error -- What does it mean?
Review: I bought an earlier model Panasonic DVD-RV21. I rarely used it and it seemed to function fine except once in a great while I had to turn it off to get it "unconfused" and, it seemed a bit slow to read the DVD's. Now after it is off-warranty, I'm getting the "H02" message too. The player can't read the DVD's because it won't spin. It's not the motor and the laser lens is clean. I think Panasonic has a serious "logic" bug/problem with their design. I love Panasonic quality and features, but now I am soured on Panasonic DVD players. This thing looks like new and I only played maybe 15-20 DVD's on it. TOO BAD! I refuse to pay them to fix it and get an eventual encore breakdown. I'll try Sony next!

Summary: Stopped working after 1 year! HO7 Error
Review: I bought my Panasonic DVD-RV32 dvd player in late 2003. Here it is January 2004 & I tried to play a Star Trek movie today & it would not play the movie. It recognized the disc... read the disc... went into the stop mode, displayed "STOP" on the unit's display & then displayed "HO7", which I later found out is an error message. The funny thing is that it worked fine yesterday.

As so many other people have reported about this unit, I am joining the league of disappointed owners of this product... the PANASONIC RV-32. It worked ok while it lasted, but it didn't last! I hope that this dvd player is not evidence of something pandemic in the entire line of Panasonic products. I've always had good luck with Panasonic televisions... even as I write this!

Summary: Do Not Buy Panasonic
Review: I bought the DVD-RV32K player from Panasonic. I purchased it because I had been reading about problems with other brands, and people were saying good things about this player. It was more expensive, but if it was reliable, it was worth it.

Now 10 months into owning it, with only light usage, it suddenly stopped working and gave me the infamous H07 error. Which means the motor died on the unit. The motor, of all things. The DVD's no longer spin at all. From what I've been reading, I guess I should consider myself lucky that it lasted this long. If you search the web you will find tons of complaints about Panasonic and the H07/H02 errors.

I emailed customer support, and after 2 weeks had received no response from them at all. When I called, they wanted $70 to repair it, just for labor (it was under warranty for parts still). They refused to even listen to my arguments, and just told me to call the factory. No way am I paying $70 to fix this piece of junk.

The only time I've ever had a problem with a piece of A/V equipment was when I bought a Technics reciever, which died 1 month out of warranty. Guess what? Technics and Panasonic are one in the same.

I will never, ever buy a Panasonic product again. Amazon, you really should consider not selling their products, as Panasonic's lack of quality and service taints you.

Summary: Great Player
Review: I bought this after reading some other people's reviews and I was not diappointed. This is the first DVD player I have owned but I am completely happy with it. Great picture, etc. Also, I got the Silver which makes it look like it is a high priced model.

Summary: Excellent Versatile DVD Player w/ Great Acoustics
Review: I bought this DVD player b/c of 2 reasons, it could read just about any format...and it also had an output for a digital optical cable (TOSLink connection). My home theater system receiver also has a digital optical input for my dvd player. Once I connected this dvd player to the system with a fiber optical cable, the quality of the sound and the surround effect coming out of the home theater system increased dramatically!

The audio quality coming from this dvd player is spectacular...even when I play plain old cd's on it. The video quality is fine but I do notice that it has the typical dvd player "slight pause" on some scenes. This is typical of dvd players but it does seem to occur less frequently with this dvd player vs. my old Toshiba dvd player.

I also like the fact that this unit is not as deep as my old Toshiba. It seems like these dvd players are getting more compact these days.

I have read some negatives about the remote control...I don't really have any problems with the remote control at all. For this price and a rebate, it is hardly something to complain about. This player is really a great value!
