Summary: Childhood Revisited
Review: I'd love to write a glowing, eloquent review, but I'm afraid I can't... This movie reduces me to a giggling, carefree, bouncing little kid every single time I watch it! Sarah's been my hero (thanks for the name, mom!) and Jareth my dream guy since forever ago! Now, as manager of a video store, I can make masses of people watch it all night! *bounce* :-D

Summary: a dramatic, unique film
Review: I remember being a tiny, innocent child and watching this brilliant film. This story is fantastic for any girl to see who's had to take care of a screaming baby. What a wonderful tale! This film takes you to a place where utter ugliness really exists. I don't know what else to say. There are some parts in this film which are so repulsive (such as the farting dungeon) and much more, but it is so great and funny! It is a real place to me, a place which exists within our minds. I simply love it!

Summary: Wonderful movie that makes good use of DVD
Review: The movie itself is a winner. The plot is suitable for children, yet David Bowie is suitable for anyone else (-: It's unique, and it is wonderful. Everyone should see the movie, just like ET.

The DVD is also top notch. The "making of" segment has much more to it than the one on the VHS. It also has talent files, and trailers to Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal.

I recommend this as a movie, and specifically as a DVD that uses DVD technology to the fullest.

Summary: Excellent fairy tale for all ages
Review: What happens when a jealous girl asks for the Goblin King to take her half-brother away? Well, she's sent on a journey through strange lands to bring him back. With David Bowie playing the strangely sexy Goblin King and lots of strange and funny muppets as his minions and Sarah's friends, this is a tale for any age. Great music, great fun!

Summary: Incredible movie
Review: I first saw this movie as a young child. It was my first time seeing the phenomenal David Bowie, now my favorite singer. What's there to say that hasn't been said? The music is incredible (I love "Underground", "As the World Falls Down", "Within You", "Magic Dance",... I love them all. David Bowie has such an incredible voice. Combined with expert writing, it's magical). It's funny, adventurous, and witty. It shows the value of thought and sheer will as well as the value of might. And through all of this, it manages to teach more than so many movies while being among one of the most entertaining films I have seen, even to date. How many other movies teach a lesson, let alone a few, without hitting the audience over the head with it? It's rare among films for older audiences, and almost impossible to find among children's movies. This one does it.

No matter how many years pass, it doesn't get old. Labyrinth is a movie full of spirit and youth, with enough of an indescribable something that adults will enjoy it as much as kids. It has that spark that so many things lack.

Summary: Timeless!
Review: Come on, when the worm asks you inside, you want to go in. You know the 'missus' would be even cooler. 'Labyrinth' is an unsung classic for little kids and big kids alike. I never tire of this movie, and I've been hooked since I was six. I'm twenty. At first, it was the Muppets and the heroine, Sarah. Then it was David Bowie as the Goblin King (ooh, I'll come be your queen anytime. Who wouldn't?). Then it was the amazing art, music, story, everything. I can't get over this movie, and it's shocking how much I see it's influenced my preferences to this day... Muppets, fantasy, Brian Froud's art, Maurice Sendak (this is where the Wild Things are), David Bowie... If you've never seen it but have some little ones, pick it up. I promise you it'll last much longer than Pokemon. A true classic, and better than a lot of Disney movies (sorry, Walt). One of the best things George Lucas has attatched his name to. There are no annoying sidekicks! You'll always find something new to exclaim over. One of my top three of all time.

Summary: Labyrinth : a movie that has it all!
Review: Jim Henson's "Labyrinth" is truly a movie that has it all !!!Jennifer Connelly is Sarah,an unhappy teenage girl who escapes the real world with books and fairy tales. But the trouble starts when the characters from a book become real, including the evil goblin king (a glamorous David Bowie),who takes her infant stepbrother away to Goblin Castle. To rescue her baby brother,Sarah must reach Goblin Castle-but she has to find her way through a confusing and difficult Labyrinth to get there. This really has it all: fabulous music performed by David Bowie himself, lovable creatures created by Jim Henson, including Sarah's friend Hoggle,a bunch of pixies, and many other incredible characters, and a number of dazling sets. This movie will be sure to capture the hearts of every member of the family!

Summary: Top Henson Flick!
Review: Labyrinth is an excellent fantasy film that gives you a warm feeling inside. This DVD video also includes an excellent documentary with some great "behind the scenes" footage and an insight into how the magic is created. Bowie's perfomance as the Goblin King is incredible and Henson's directing skills are on top form. If you haven't seen this movie... WHY NOT?
