Review: Apologies to those who thought they had seen the back of the Power Rangers!
This is quite an awesome lil package! The Power Rangers movie is great fun, with a groovy soundtrack that'll have you jumping round the room, kicking the cushions like you did when the programme was first out! Just relax and enjoy this fun and exciting romp!
The Turbo movie, though not as good, is still worth a watch, and if it wasn't for that annoying boy Justin I'd love it even more! Plus, classic villains Zedd and Rita also make a brief appearance - they were the greatest Power Ranger villains!(Lord Zedd especially - excuse me for being a black sheep)
So grab your Morphers, and feel the Power!!

Summary: Decent DVD...Good Value...Ok movies.
Review: Back in the day, I used to be a huge fan of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. After that series ended, and was turned into Power Rangers Zeo (the incarnation immediately before Turbo), I quickly lost interest. That is, until this DVD was released. I always loved MMPR: The Movie when I was middle school. Now, as an adult, I find that the film still holds up fairly well. Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Arc) as Ivan Ooze is perfect. He brings exactly the right balance of wickedness and humor to the performance, which allows for many of the more memorable moments of the film to involve him. While the actors who play the Rangers may not be the most versatile in the business (look at the wooden delivery of the one-liners during the fight scenes), they still have a certain appeal which makes it easy to watch. Plus, in some key emotional scenes with their leader, Zordon, they do manage to raise their performance quality.
Of course, the true highlights of MMPR: The Movie are the excellent soundtrack/score. The music of the film really helps to tap into the emotional center of the film. Also, the upgraded costumes, and visual effects help raise the bar for what would have otherwise undoubtedly ended up being a horrible film.
With that said, we move on to Turbo: A Power Rangers movie. This film, while entertaining for one viewing, is a total disaster when watched back to back with Mighty Morphin. Everything that made MMPR: The Movie stand out was stripped away in favor of doing a standard television Power Rangers story on the big screen. As I said, it's alright for one viewing, but beyond that, I recommend sticking with the first Power Rangers movie.
The remainder of the DVD is just the trailers for both films as well as a couple of no effort five minute "making of" segments for each of the films.
The only reason I recommend buying this version with both films is because it is a better value than the individual releases of the two films, since the individual releases offer the exact same content, but on separate disks, as opposed to this where it's all on one.

Review: Even though I'm 12 I still like Power Rangers. When I heard that FOX was releasing them both on one disc I was ecstatic. When I saw how little the features were I was disappointed. The thing I like about these movies was they kept true to the TV series instead of steering of the plot line of the main characters (Hint Hint: POKEMON 1 and 2). The transfer of both movies onto one disc was amazing. The picture and sound quality is awesome. The features are the same on both disc (A featurette, and theatrical trailers for both films). If you enjoy the TV series and you own the movies and have a DVD BUY THIS DVD!

Summary: Good films on a so-so DVD
Review: Ever since 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' came into play around 1993, it spawned a huge hit with American youngsters, and sold a huge amount of toys and had spawned two theatrical movies, 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie' and 'Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie'.While not one of the best family films around, MMPR:TM is far from the bottom of the barrel. The movie is completely different than in the show (nor fits in with the show's storyline), but quite entertaining for its 95 minute running time, with a quick pace and lots of action. The script and the acting needed some work, but otherwise it's guilty fun. Paul Freeman vamps it up as a wonderfully nasty Ivan Ooze, and the movie has a large, epic feel, which adds to the fun.
As for T:APRM, the movie is a big step down from MMPR:TM. While the script is a better one than in 'Mighty Morphin', it suffers from blandness and the movie dragged in the first and second acts, but the third act was invigorated by reappearances of earlier Rangers Jason and Kimberly, and by a hilarious performance by Hilary Shepard Turner as Divatox throughout. The movie is considerably low-budget than the first film (as it was shot in California rather than in Australia), but bombed at the box office, raking in $6 million (MMPR:TM pulled in a respectable $36 million). While the movie isn't so much as a sequel to the first film, it serves more as a branching of shows 'Power Rangers Zeo' and 'Power Rangers Turbo.' While the scripting is better than MMPR:TM, the movie is less enjoyable and less energetic than its first outing, but it's better than what others have accredited it to. Fox did a good job with this DVD release. Both films are on one dual-layered DVD (each movie is on one side), and both are presented in their original 1.85:1 theatrical format. Although I would've preferred a 2-disc set instead of a two-sided DVD (so it wouldn't get damaged easily), the quality of both films on DVD is good, except for some noticeable grain and speckling in both films. Colors are nicely saturated and black quality is well-defined and, for the most part, sharp. The Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks for both films are good, making the rock music come out especially well. Dialogue comes out well without hisses or snaps, and the background sounds come out good. Both films also include a Dolby Digital 2.0 track in English and a Dolby Digital 2.0 track in French (this is only available for the first movie), along with English subtitles. The extras on the DVD will probably not satisfy the most die-hard fans of both films or the shows, as the DVD only includes a ten minute making-of-featurette for both MMPR:TM and T:APRM, as well as a theatrical trailer for each movie. While the extras here are slim, they're a big step up above the two other Power Ranger DVDs Buena Vista has released. If you love Power Rangers (or if your kids love it), this DVD is a must buy.

Summary: Love the movies but let down a tad by the DVD.
Review: First, yeah I would have liked to had both movies on seperate DVDs with more extras but this is better than nothing. MMPRTM--The video quality on mine was good but not as perfect as I remember the movie looking, just a tad grainy. I don't think any attempt to digitally remaster the video was made. Also, the actual print is different from the original one. The title card says only "Power Rangers: The Movie" and I think there is different music in the scene where Ivan gives out ooze, not sure on that one (there may be other changes but I didn't notice them). The overall sound, good good good. As for extras...they suck on this side of the disc. The trailer is not the real trailer, just a bunch of scenes Fox slapped together. The featurette is not the one that was before the Pagemaster video or the one that came on TV. It's spliced from both of those though. TAPRM--Everything is good here. Video, sound, etc. The extras are good. The featurette is the one that was available on Movieweb and the trailer, well, I had never seen a theatrical trailer for this movie so it looks good. Overall, I'm happy to have the films on DVD and in widescreen. Extremely happy. Maybe we'll get special editions one day.

Review: I am a huge fan of the show i have seen almost all the episodes. I think they did a great job making both movies. That would be nice if they had mad a third movie from the pris (power rangers in space). Know since they show new episodes i still don't know how are they getting there powers since zordon was destroyed. He was the only one who created the pr.

Summary: Power Rangers
Review: I am looking foward to owning this. I have loved Power Rangers since it first came out and this special edition DVD is worth collecting. TO POWER RANGERS FANS: This is a msut collectable, as it shows the MMPR Movie which happened in another universe and the Turbo movie which hapens in the PR Universe as we all know. I hope this will attract PR fans and non-PR fans alike. Aron.

Review: i just wanted to say that although this is a good movie but not worth the price...i got it for 75% less somewhere else and i wouldnt pay this much here for it. it is a power ranger classic though so if you are into the power rangers this is a mmust have.

Summary: Both Good!!
Review: I'm 15 years old and I don't watch power rangers no more but I love the two movies! The first one was awesome. It had the best villian in the whole series and I liked the way their suits were. The second one was tight too but it wasn't as good as the first one. As low as they are costing now this is a good buy.
