Summary: Lacks the magic of the first film
Review: I found this sequel to be lacking in warmth, imagination, and unable to envolve either myself or my wife as we watched it, unlike the original. Rent it first and be sure you like it enough to buy it. I didn't.

Summary: Not close to as good as the first
Review: I had low hopes for the first Stuart Little, and I thought it was a good movie. Then when I heard of a sequel I had high hopes for it but I was very dissapointed. I thought the story of the movie was an idea that was not thought about very much. There is a little action in this movie but most of the action in this movie people have already seen from the previews and trailers on TV. When this movie comes out I recomend keeping it away from your Rental Queue. Do not waste money to see it in the theatre, do not rent it when it comes out either. I was entirely below what I expected.

Summary: Fantastic family movie! Beyond my expectations!
Review: I have seen many a movie sequel, and a few of them (mostly family movies from Disney and several others) really ... So I wasn't too sure about SL2. I loved the first one but was hesitant. I asked for it for Christmas and got it, and I just watched it, it was awesome! It was terrific. It had the same qualities of the first movie and was just plain good! I recommend this to anyone whol loved the first movie or enjoyed the original book because there is a part from the book that wasn't in the first film but is in this one. The character of Margalo is played very well by Melanie Griffith. Stuart as usual is voiced by the fantastic Michael J. Fox and has a very good part this time around. I loved the character of Snowball, played by Nathan Lane who is awesome in all his roles (even the really disturbing cameo appearance he has in Austin Powers in Goldmember) has some of the wittiest one liners in the entire movie. He is funnier in this one than in the first movie! Anyway, check this great movie sequel, and please click on the helpful button.

Summary: It just gets better and better
Review: I just saw this movie for the first time and I absolutely loved every second of it. This movie is just adorable. I loved the first one but the sequel is even better with the addition of the bird. It's a fairy tale come to life and I doubt there is any child who would not love this movie. It's also perfectly suited for adults as well. The DVD is packed with great extras like Celine Dion's music video of "I'm Alive" which is the best song of the year for a movie. I would ask though, for the third movie, lets have a puppy.

Summary: ARE YOU TWO STILL FRIENDS OR CAN I EAT HIM
Review: I loved Stuart Little 2-it was so cute and funny!

Stuart Little 2 is about Stuart and how he loves being part of the Little family-he goes to school-but when he is driving home one day a bird falls in his car-and her name is Margalo-Stuart and this bird become fast friends-but theres a side to Margalo that Stuart doesnt see-she is a con artist working for an evil falcon who will make sure that he gets Mrs.Littles ring-and he will stop at nothing to get it!

One of my favorite characters was Monty-probably because Steve Zhan was his voice!

The voice talents were:
Stuart Little-Micheal J.Fox
Snowbell-Nathan Lane
Monty-Steve Zahn
Falcon-James Woods
Margalo-Meline Griffth

I also have the soundtrack-and its great-especially that one song by Celine Dion called Im Alive!

I would reccomend this movie to anyone who loves animals and wants to watch something cute!

I thought that it was even better and cuter then the first one!

Summary: Sweet with a bite to it
Review: I loved the first Stuart Little movie (Aren't we all just ever-aging children?) and the sequel was every bit as good, perhaps better--except for the mildly irritating effort of Melanie Griffith who delivers her lines as if English wasn't necessarily her first language. That said, the production is entirely redeemed by the rest of the cast--particularly the outstanding Nathan Lane as Snowbell, delivering some of the funniest one-liners this side of the Catskills. What is especially wonderful about this film is the production design: the use of Crayola-like primary colors in the great sets and costumes, and the crisp cinematography. The special effects blend seemlessly into the film so that the viewer isn't constantly saying, "Oh, wow! Cool effect." Because everything is so beautifully integrated, it's pure pleasure simply to watch and smile and savor a movie that never falls into saccharine mode but has great sweetness none the less. Geena Davis is, as before, just lovely as Mrs. Little--dimples flashing in genuine-seeming pleasure (perhaps merely at being in such good company, in such a delightful film.)
Most highly recommended for kids of all ages (even the wrinkled ones.)

Summary: Stuart Little 2" is a fun movie for kids
Review: I think "Stuart Little 2" is a better movie than its predecessor. The sequel has more humor, more effects, and is faster paced than the original. The effects in this film are stunning. Stuart Little has incredible detail in his movements and hair. The bird Margalo is also well animated. She moves just like a bird but still manages to have a cartoon kind of face. The falcon is pretty cool and evil looking, too. All in all, it's an amazing accomplishment by Sony Imageworks. The effects hold up particularly well on the small screen and the colors are bright and clear. The DVD presentation looks great.

The voices in this film were well cast. Though I despise Melanie Griffith, her voice fit the bird well. She had just the right mix of innocence and street smarts. James Woods is excellent any time he plays the bad guy, and his voice fits the evil falcon well. And if you saw the original then you know Michael J. Fox fits the mouse's voice perfectly. However, the show stealer is Nathan Lane as Snowbell. Pretty much all of the characters are dull compared to this cat. He has some of the funniest one-liners of any film this summer and steals the show any time he's on screen.

The music in "Stuart Little 2" is pretty good, too, and sounds great on a home theater system. You may find yourself tapping your toes to this soundtrack.

Summary: DVD Problems
Review: I too have a problem playing Stuart Little 2 on my Harmon Kardon DVD-50. I rented this movie from Blockbuster and thought it was a defective DVD. Then I received the movie as a gift for Christmas and the same thing happened! Based on the previous review I guess Sony doesn't really care.

Summary: Wonderfully Charming Family Movie
Review: I'm always concerned regarding sequels, as most of us are. It seems like most sequels are quickly rushed out to take advantage of the success of the first movie, and all too often disappoints those of us that hope that THIS sequel might actually be good. Fear not, this sequel is as good, if not better in some respects, than the original.

Stuart Little (Michael J. Fox, in a perfect voice-over role) has now settled into life with the Littles. One day Stuart "rescues" Margalo (Melanie Griffith, also excellently voiced), an orphaned and apparently injured canary. We soon discover that Margalo is working with a Falcon, menacingly voiced by James Woods, who can act just as mean in a voice-over as he can in person, to steal Mrs. Little's wedding ring, which has a huge diamond. Mrs. Little is played once again by Geena Davis, in a nearly patented innocent style perfect for a family movie.

The movie accelerates faster and faster as we race to rescue Margalo, and incidentally, the wedding ring, in an adventure as harrowing as any in a family movie. The scene of Snowbell in a can at the edge of a skyscraper is intended to give those of us that care little for heights sweaty palms. The way in which Stuart saves the day at the end of the movie is charming and recalls the best of family movies from days gone by.

This movie is a wonderful rarity. As a sequel, it at least matches the first movie. It maintains a wide-eyed innocence and charm while putting the main characters in harm's way that Stuart's "parents" are unable to prevent. Ultimately, the lesson is learned that not telling the truth and hiding things from your parents is wrong, but in this case the result was measured against the transgression, and while punishment is coming, the movie downplays that part to keep the happy ending aspects.

I give this movie 5 stars as a charming family movie and recommend it highly for children of all ages...
