Summary: pretty cool
Review: This was a pretty good movie with it's cgi effects. The action keeps the person in the movie and has a variety of characters. both strong female and male characters. but the movie has a pretty unoriginal plot " must get item of power before friend gets killed" and so on. also the ending was REALLY predictable after the first half hour. and they obviously never researched on who the heck was sinbad.
they forgot he was NOT a pirate, rather a merchant who has several adventures.

Overall it is a good movie. but can do with a more original plot and who Sinbad was really.

Summary: A Pleasure to watch
Review: My two children watched Sinbad this morning and begged to watch it again this evening. They are both under six. Sinbad has strong male and female characters with a good message regarding responsibility. There is good action and likeable characters. Our whole family enjoyed this film.

Summary: I was enjoying it at one point...
Review: ...and I started to get the urge to buy it soon after, but the ending is the WORST! After Sinbad and Marina left, I was expecting something cool like an epic rescue fight like in Lilo and Stitch(1 AND 2!!!), or a race against time to save the planet like in Treasure Planet. Also I don't think that Sinbad and Marina struck up a good relationship, and the film is incredibly slow. On the good side, the film is very similar to Disney's Treasure Planet, and this gets three stars because it's far better, which is all I really wated to see this for anyway.

Summary: Better than you might think. Give it a try.
Review: Based on some of the reviews I read for this film during its theatrical run, I fully expected to hate it. But once I popped in the DVD, I discovered that it isn't that bad. Actually, it's rather fun and the animation is beautiful. It's far better than the similar "Treasure Planet" and never talks down to the kiddie audience while offering the adults some nifty, zippy action sequences (the sled-and-giant-bird scene is a real corker) and the usual top-flight animation you expect from a company like DreamWorks. The only technical flaw is the sometimes choppy blending of the computer and hand animation -- this is one area where "Tresure Planet" has it beat.

Don't expect too much in the story department: this is a hodge-podge of devices from Greek Mythology (despite the Arabian character, this is almost entirely classical Greek in nature) and old movie serials. But it's undemanding and often beautiful fun. Pitt and Zeta-Jones are so-so in their voice performances, with Pitt playing the part far too hip and tough, but Pfeiffer is clearly having a blast with her silken-voiced evil goddess.

Of all of DreamWorks hand-animated films, this is certainly the best and the least pretentious. It's worth seeing for a light evening with the kids.

Summary: Good Movie, all it takes is to watch it as it is.
Review: Seriously, I don't understand what's so bad about this movie. After reading many reviews and people telling me that its 'lame' and all that. I bet it's all due to the current trend and influences of 'Pixaresque' story creation/movie making methodologies and past 'formulas' for animated feature box office successes.

This movie is downright sincere with a story that works for people of all ages/cultures. I don't see anything wrong with it's portrayal of characters and problems with the story. It's very entertaining and I like it.

5 stars and nothing less.

Summary: Very underrated movie
Review: I love 2D animation movies and this one is a very good one. Too bad, traditional animation doesn't do well in the box office these days. People are now more into 3D animation like Monster Inc., Shrek and Finding Nemo. It doesn't mean that they are not good. I personally prefer this one over most recent Disney movies such Treasure Planet, Atlantis and even Lilo and Stitch. This one is by far the most technically advanced animation movie I have seen lately. The character animations are superb, the 3D CGI effects are well combine with the 2D elements and the story is good enough. Sinbad is a very popular character and the kids love him. The action never stops. The voice acting is excellent in my opinion. If you love 2D animation from Disney or DreamWorks you should definitely buy this movie.

Personally, I think that DreamWorks has now surpassed Disney in 2D animation. The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Sinbad are way better then most Disney movies such as The Emperor's new Groove, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear.

Overall, I really enjoy this movie. I give it a 5 stars.

Review: Sinbad:Legend of the Seven Seas is a good movie! If you like Dreamworks other movies like Road to El Darado, then want to add this collection, but just for the fun of it,its a good movie to watch. It features the voices of Brad Pitt,Catherine Zeta Jones, and bunch of other well knowed voice actors.

Summary: loved it !!!!!
Review: Since there are so many reviews, some good and some bad. You would have to just take a chance or not on getting this movie. But my husband, me and my children loved it (4 yrs. old and 18 months). It was so action packed, it actually held their attention. Most adult animation like "Atlantis - The Lost Empire" hardly ever holds their attention for more than 5 minutes. So this get my highest review.

Summary: Sinbad is a TOTALLY AWESOME Legend of the Seven Seas!
Review: I just saw this at a sleepover a couple of nights ago. Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones made a perfect cartoon version of the arabian nights tales. The sea monsters and the huge white bird were great!! The city where Eris the godess of chaos plays a game with the book of peace is interesting and one step away from being 3-d. The inside of the book of peace was funky and cool. Spike the dog made me laugh countless times! All I can say about the movie is SEE IT RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!!

Summary: 4 year old pirate favorite
Review: This was a great purchase for a boy who LOVES anything to do with pirates. The action wasn't too violent (didn't like the goddess part) but overall for an animated video it was a wonderful flick. One of our favorites - even over a lot of disney movies! He asks to watch it again and again!
