Summary: "You have no power over me..."
Review: The line Sarah always forgot, until the end. I have this movie on VHS and DVD, I wore my first copy out as a little girl. I loved it so much; and now my children love it. It was what inspired my imagination as a girl. If you loved the movie I suggest you also get The Goblin Companion by Brian Froud, Illustrator and creator of the Labyrinth's goblins, it is so wonderful and has the goblins listed there with their own descriptions. I loved David Bowie as the Goblin King, and I LOVE LUDO!!!! Wouldn't it be great to have a sequel where he comes back for revenge and steals Sarah's children because she took him down? Hmmm...all new adventures and characters join the old,Froud creations of course, along with the newest advances in technology. Sounds like a winner to me.

Review: i love this film i have hardly ever took it out of my video/dvd player (i have it on both) when i first watched the video i did not have a clue what it was about but i still watched it as i like to watch the people in it but now i am older i realize what it is all about i think i am the only one in the whole family who like this film because they do not like david bowie but i think he is a great singer/actor and i hope he does more films like this as i would watch them over and over again and never get board. one of the reviews i have to disaggree on because david and the music work really well in this film and i think that i would not like it as much if the songs were not in them (but i would say that because i really admire david bowies work)
well i hope you find this useful seeya

Summary: Classic!
Review: I first saw this movie when I was about 5-6 years old, and I remember telling my mom not to rent it because it looked scary, but she did it anyway and I am thanking her to this day for doing so! I love this movie so much that I am writing a sequel to it. This movie is so captivating that you will want to watch it over and over again it never get's old! Everyone and anyone can relate to the story, it's great for kids and adults alike, I have bought this movie at least 6 times and everytime I borrow it to someone they steal it, that's how good it is! It touches every possible genre (excuse the spelling), it's action, adventure,to a point horror, suspense, drama, romance, comedy, fantasy and a musical all rolled into one great film. I now own it on DVD for the first time, The extras are great especially the making is very interesting. The movie itself well I haven't seen a plot so well written and imaginative in a long time. For first timers out there it's really neat to see Jennifer Connelly back when she was a young girl, and to see David Bowie in those form fitting tights : ) hehe he is just so beautiful, mysterious and magical, ladies will fall in love with him over and over again. And if you are anything like my friends and I you'll find yourself not wanting to come back to reality. ha ha! It's a must see the only down fall to this movie is that it ends.

Summary: Watch What You Wish For
Review: What starts out as a normal night for Sarah, being stuck at home babysitting her brother, starts into a fantastical adventure into another world. Sarah wishes her brother gone and the Goblin King answers that call. Sarah must journey into the Goblin King's land to try and get her brother back. What she dosen't realize is that his Labyrinth has many twists and turns. The storyline is not only great in this movie but so isn't the acting. The music is great, as well, and they choose the best person for the Goblin King part. You can tell Henson put alot of work into this movie.

Summary: Even better on DVD widescreen
Review: This film is one of my favorite films. It is a Lucasfilm directed by Jim Henson and starring David Bowie. I originally purchased it on VHS.

The widescreen DVD version is outstanding. The picture is absolutely beautiful. Widescreen is a must for this film. Without it, you lose much of the depth and atmosphere. Even the beginning credits are better with widescreen.

The DVD contains the making of the film. Usually, I don't care for this, however, the making of Labyrinth was very good.

I have a library of about 500 DVDs and 2000 VHS. This film is one of my top 10.

Summary: Great effects, Awesome Music, and one SEXY Goblin King!!!
Review: I won't ruin the plot by summarizing it, but let me say that this movie is my all time favourite movie with good reason. It is full of hidden meanings, beautiful sets, suspensful action, tear drawing moments and best of all an amazing soundtrack. I hate musicals, but this isn't a musical. It's just wonderful. The DVD version has a much more vivid picture, and being widescreen you can see hidden pictures not visable on VHS. David Bowie gives a breath-taking performance and Jim Henson does wonders with the muppets. Infact you soon forget that they are infact muppets and not real creatures! I would definately recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy, 80's style music, Bowie, or just wants to see a great movie. ...
