Summary: Millenium Masterpiece
Review: I found out about this movie from a friend, and after I watched it once I was mezmerized. I am esctatic they have released it again! David Bowie is awesome, and Jennifer Connelly is amazing. I can really identify with Sarah because my parents don't understand me either. I often wish "someone would save me, take me away from this awfull place". I think it's not a movie just for kids, it is a millenium masterpiece. "Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the goblin City, to take back the child that you have stolen. For my will is as strong as yours, And my kingdom is as great. My will is as strong as yours, my kingdom is great.......Damn! I can never remember that line! You have no power over me........Oh, Merlin. Oh no Merlin, I don't believe it, it's seven o'clock! Come on!" I can practically recite the whole script by heart!

Summary: Top of the line, no questions asked!
Review: Seeing this movie that I saw for the first time in second grade brought back a lot of memories. In "Into the Labyrinth" Henson said that all generations have a thing for Bowie (as Jareth) and I MUST agree. Working on ocassion in the electronics store of one of our local Kmarts, I get to pick what movie plays on the DVD player when I'm back there....needless to say, Labyrinth is ALWAYS my pick. And it's created quite a following with several co-workers who recall the movie when we were younger, and several customers that remember it after watching it a few moments. The Henson company jsut keeps on rolling out wonderful, creative, top notch quality programs!

Summary: The best film of my childhood
Review: I have been in love with David Bowie ever since I saw this movie when I was a kid. Jim Henson is my hero. The story, the songs, the characters--all of it makes up one of the best movies I have ever seen. I am so glad that it's been re-released on video. I've spent over 6 years looking for a copy of it,and now that it's here, I'm gonna buy every copy I can find! I will never be without this film again!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best.
Review: The movie is excellent. I have read some reviews of people who think it is entirely for kids. Adults have immagination and it really does not require an over-abundance to enjoy this movie and see it for the masterpiece it really is.

Summary: top of my list!
Review: i saw this movie a few years ago and seeing the end on the t.v. reminded me how much i had liked it. true, the effects were a little scrachy, but considering when it was, made, i mean, come on! it was state of the art!

Summary: great movie - and a comment
Review: Excellent Bowie and excellent Henson! To the reader who wished that there was a soundtrack: they did release a soundtrack to this. I found it for my sister a year or two ago at Borders -- check there, or check Amazon, of course.

Summary: Spectacular Fantasy Film that is very underrated.
Review: No, this is not the humourous puppets seen in The Muppet Movie. This is not a deep, almost invisible plot seen in Neverending Story (even if you could sit through the whole thing). It's not a campy thing like Rocky Horror. But is it a true cult film at this point. It has inspired 2 generations. I saw the movie when it was first released in 1986 and loved it more and more. I strongly recommend it for fantasy fans young and old. For the children there are Jim Henson's muppets and lovely little fairies. For adults there is Jareth in his ever tightening tights. It is a delight.

Summary: Finally I get my hands on this movie!
Review: I've loved this movie for years, but was never able to get a hold of a copy of my own. I even sent my mom to every video store in town to rent a copy once (while recovering from having my wisdom teeth pulled.) Now I just have to hope that it's still available after I wear this copy out!

Summary: outstanding craft
Review: Unfortunately it seems all of these reviews have been written by insane women and David Bowie fans who have over-identified with the film. Buy this film for its art value. If you are interested in quality film making and creature effects, deconstruct and study this movie, along with the Dark Crystal. You don't have to be gay, a socially inept female or a kid to appreciate them. As a historical note, Labyrinth was one of the first films to feature realistic computer animation.

Summary: lifelong dream
Review: how can i describe this video? Threr simply has never been a better video for fans of fantasy and myth. perfect escapism, scary, thrilling, sexy, heartwarming. make your mum see it. make your gran see it. make everyone see it! SEE IT!!!!! Bowie is fabulous as the cruel Jareth, Connelly is enchanting and the puppets are incredible. This film will touch your life and stay with you forever. If you've ever felt that there is more to faries and fantasty than poncing around flowers in a frilly tutu then you have to see this. Labyrinth disproves every myth and creatates one of its own. A lasting classic.
